Coronado’s offers excellent quality tailoring, delivered on the promised schedule, always done with consideration for the customer. I have taken all types of work over a period of several years and am always pleased with the outcome.

Wonderful Experience! I had a little difficulty finding the location, as I was expecting a stand alone building… once I got there, no one was on premise(it was a bit early), but as I was leaving, in a hurry and a bit frustrated, the owners pulled up, and asked if I was there for an alteration; they immediately(I did not even get out of my car!) took my jeans, $ 10, and told me my jeans would be ready later in the day… they took my name and number and within 2 hours, I received a text saying they were ready! Super friendly, amazingly fast, very affordable, and best of all, did a great job! Definitely will return!

After reading so many good reviews, I decided to try this place out. I brought in a long, navy blue, chiffon brides maid dress. I’m 5 foot tall so it was entirely too long and the straps needed to be shortened. When we were done with measurements, he tried to charge me $ 90!!! I told him I couldn’t afford that(that’s half the price of the dress), and he eventually lowered it to $ 75 but wouldn’t go any lower. I had no time to find another tailor so I handed the money over with my stomach in knots. When I went to pick it up, it was still 4 inches too long! Another 30 mins out of my day to remeasure. I went back the next day, and tried it on. It seemed okay… But I wasn’t able to really walk around in it and get a good feel. Once I had the dress on for the wedding, I was constantly tripping over it! It was about an inch too long… only in the front. It made me very uncomfortable to walk around holding the top layer of the dress so I wouldn’t trip. This place is entirely overpriced and obviously can’t seem to hem a dress to the correct length. GOSOMEWHEREELSE!!! Don’t waste your money here.

Great place! Family run business and amazing customer service! I went in for something very simple to add a hook and eye to a dress, but still expected to have to come back to pick it up another day, because that is usually what happens right… Not with Michelle! She asked if I had just 5 minutes to wait she would do it right then so I wouldn’t have to take the time to come back. They do a great job!

Hmm. Went here after reading all the great reviews, but I am disappointed with all aspects of this establishment. I took a bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed on May 16, and was told that they would call me when it was ready. In addition to the hemming, I wanted to add four straps to the dress which I already had(they just needed to be sewn in). Eighty dollars. In cash. At drop off. He also told me that having double straps would not look good, so he would only sew in single straps, but he would sew them in later if I insisted. So basically, I have poor taste. He called me Friday, May 30 and rudely told me that the dress was ready and I needed to come pick it up. I went to get it today, Monday, June 2. Way too much attitude to deal with going to the third floor of an office building to be overcharged and treated rudely.(My sister paid $ 30 for the same alterations to an identical dress — we are the same size) Lots of other options, and I will find another one next time.

Mr. Coronado did an absolutely wonderful job altering my clothes! He was able to fix the hem on a pair of dress pants and shorts, and he also was able to take in two dresses for me. He is so nice! Mr. Coronado provides excellent customer service and quality work. My clothes were ready in less than a week! When I went to pick up my clothes, I tried on two of the dresses and realized that they needed to be taken in just a little bit more. Mr. Coronado was happy to adjust the dresses as needed that same day! My dresses fit amazing now! He truly does a wonderful job, and really works with his customers to give them exactly what they need! I will definitely continue to go to Coronados for all of my alteration needs!

I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding this summer and needed to get my silk dress taken in(woohoo for losing inches!). I stopped by my local dry cleaner and they gave me Robert Coronado’s info – I’m so glad they did! Robert Coronado and his family have owned and operated Coronado’s, a sewing and alteration store, since 1968. Situated right by TCU, in an office building right by campus, it’s an easy commute for anyone in the city center. Mr. Coronado is in his 70s, at least, an he handles all the major alterations. I gave him a call a few weeks ago and he was happy to accommodate me that afternoon(he stays at the store until 6, and can stay later if you need him to). The store has a curtained-off changing area, and after changing I stood in front of a full-length mirror while Mr. Coronado took my measurements and adjusted my dress. He works quickly and my dress was ready within a week, and it cost $ 50 which I believe is pretty standard when you have to re-do a zipper and work with silk. When I stopped by to pick up my dress, Mr. Coronado was there with his daughter, and their sweet banter was so cute and infectious! I would have hung around longer if I could, just to hear them tell stories and joke around. Coronado’s is truly a mom and pop place where you’ll get stellar service and great results. Mr. Coronado will do simple things like hem jeans and take in dresses, or work with the fanciest of fancy wedding dresses and suits. If I were staying in Fort Worth, this would be my go-to alteration place!
