Come here often and it’s always great. Didn’t know Sunday’s are happy hour all day. Great specials and 2.00 off the other stuff. Just got lucky. Always get the tower when we come it’s big. A must try even if only for special occasions. We come more often just because the food and service is always good. The lounge has live music and makes for great ambiance. I would recommend sitting there.

Classic American steakhouse with good seafood. Excellent wine selection by glass and bottle, good selection of drafts too. We had chilled seafood tower, lobster, oysters(several choices-all good), crab… Bone-in ribeye very good, filet with foie gras well presented and perfect. Service is professional and gracious, good jazz piped in wonderful atmosphere. Lots of great steak in Ft Worth, and this is at top of heap. Like all top scale steak houses, you pay for a great experience

I took my wife here for her birthday. First off, their website made it easy to make a reservation. I got to select that it was her birthday and when we arrived they had all signed a birthday card for her and comped the dessert of her choice. Our service from Santos was outstanding! I had the oysters apetizer. She had the crab cake. Both were delicious. Then she had the filet medallions topped with lump crab. I had the swordfish steak topped with lump crab. Both were cooked perfectly. It is expensive and not somewhere we can go often, but it was amazing and we will be back.

My wife took me here for my birthday in March this year and it was the best dining experience I’ve had in Texas so far! I’ve lived here 7 years now and coming from the San Francisco Bay, I’ve experienced many fine dining restaurants. I could write a lengthy review of every moment of our dinner but I might run out of space. What I will share is that every action by staff and morsel of food was as close to perfection as possible! We walked out of there very satisfied knowing we’d be back! 5-star ratings from me are rare but I highly recommend Eddie V’s! Now no restaurant is perfect but the only thing I would suggest to management is when you have diners waiting past their establish reservation time, it would be appreciated if the host staff would offer a complimentary cocktail or at least a soft drink when your bar is full and we’re standing around.

Excellent food – we had awesome calamari, crab cake, lobster tacos and shrimp/crab chopped salad. All were superb! Waitress was great! I’m giving four stars only because a hostess interrupted us – somewhat abruptly — while we were enjoying the band with our cappuccino to ask if there was a reserved sign on our table when we sat down.(Well yes, there was, but a waitress removed it & told us to sit there!) Not impressed w/the hostess or her rude interrogation or the manager. Does NOONE understand the concept of customer service anymore???

We have been there a few times and have enjoyed both the food and the service. The food was excellent each time and even though its $$$$ we feel there is a real value you there for special occasions and the memories that go with it. Reservations and valet parking are very useful

Don’t know why we waited so long to try this place. ITWASFANTASTIC! Service was exemplary, we had a reservation but they got us in 45min early, so instead of sitting in the lounge we could start early. Waiters were friendly and helpful without being too intrusive. food was AMAZING. i had their crab fried rice and it was drenched in butter, i would eat it for every meal of the day. my husband and i both had steak and i had mine with shrimp and it was fresh and tasty. i wished we had time to explore the area a bit more as it looked like there were some fun shops.

Consistently solid service and food. Starting with drinks, they will generally make any drink you would like if you give them the recipe/guidelines. I did ask for a recommendation with the stipulations of a clear liquor and no added sugar. They gave me a Moscow mule which I wasn’t to stoked about since ginger beer has a ton of sugar, but it was a good drink. For appetisers, the calamari is good and they take an Asian twist on it. They also always have a nice selection or oysters and their crab cakes are on point. The salads are very fresh and generally are enough for 2 – 3 people to split as a starter. As far as food, the ahi tuna is a home run. Can’t beat the ribeye steak or the red fish either. All of the sides are family style. Candidly the whipped mashed potatoes are terrible, they need quite a bit more butter and salt/pepper. But every other side is fabulous. I don’t even like mushrooms and I like Eddie Vs mushrooms. For desert, if you are a chocolate person definitely due the godiva chocolate cake. It takes 20 minutes to make so order in advance! And the bananas foster cake is unreal, but a little goes a long way as it is really sweet.

My first visit to Eddie V’s was with friends to celebrate my birthday. I have heard many people speak favorable about the food. The night we visited… we were not disappointed. We all had a busy day at work and we built up quite an appetite. Everyone started the evening eating a crab cake appetizer in the bar area. There was live music from the 70’s and 80’s playing. We decided to dine in the bar area. The ambiance was right. In addition to the live music, the lighting was conducive to us «unwinding». I ordered the shrimp oreganata style with a small side of sautéed spinach and my friends ordered two Texas Redfish entrees and one scallop entrée with sides of spinach and truffle macaroni. We all enjoyed our meals. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my meal. I had the option of a free dessert since it was my birthday. I ordered the bananas foster since it came with side of butter pecan ice cream. I generally do not eat bananas foster but this was awesome! I did take a picture. I would recommend Eddie V’s. It is pricy. However, it was a birthday treat that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Eddie V’s knows exactly how to serve the clients the best of the best-from the service down to the last bite of dessert, the dining experience was elevated with each course. We came here for our 7th anniversary, our waiter put a card signed by each member of the staff on our table with rose petals. Cody was really nice, and we ordered everything he suggested because he was so adamant about it, and he didnt steer us wrong! We started with the lobster tacos recommended by the waiter. These tacos were filled with an abundant amount of delicious lobster, fresh corn salsa and avocado. These tacos were hearty, not tiny by any means and so fresh, literally each ingredient was so refreshing! Some of the kernels of corn were stuck together which meant that they were taken straight from the cob, the tortillas were made by hand and were so delicate and rich. The tacos were so good that I was confident my entrée of Chilean sea bass was going to be underwhelming. That sea bass was literally flawless-snow white with a perfect golden sear. And the soy broth-i can’t be certain my sea bass was enriched with a soy broth because it tasted like a buttery wine sauce, and I wanted to drink it. It was so dang good! It broke my heart to give my husband half lol. He ordered the filet mignot with crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. This dish was also cooked to perfection, but that sea bass. my goodness! The waiter urged us to try their signature dessert, bananas foster. If you have visited this restaurant and did not get this dessert, you were wrong. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like bananas, get it. If you’ve ever enjoyed any dessert at any point in your life, chances are you’ll like this dessert very much. It’s basically caramelized cake with flaming bananas served with premium icecream. It tastes like happiness! This is now my new favorite restaurant!

Valentine’s dinner here was amazing. I ordered the red dragon which is basically a strawberry mojito, refreshing, one of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. My boyfriend ordered the side car, it was either cognac or whiskey base, I forgot, he enjoyed it though. Started with half a dozen oysters, a full dozen was $ 32. My boyfriend ordered the 12oz filet mignon, medium, with a cognac base sauce on the side. That steak was amazing, very soft, and the sauce made it taste even better. I ordered the swordfish steak, never had swordfish before… The outside was a little crispy and inside soft. It was topped off with avocado and crab with spicy red chili sauce around the food. Fries for our side! For dessert we got the banana foster, it took a couple minutes for our dessert to finally arrive and it blew my mind. The presentation was amazing, the server poured a liquid into the dessert and it was lit with fire. Took a spoonful and amazed how the cake tasted! It reminded me of a banana nut muffin but a stronger banana taste, whip cream, and pecan ice on the side. Pecan ice cream was delicious! Our server I believe her name is Jordan recommended the dessert and I’m glad she did! Great food and service!

I had my graduation dinner at this location. Every time I go to Eddie V’s it’s a fantastic experience: great service and even greater food. They do an amazing hot trio appetizer which consists of deep fried lobster, calamari, and a crab cake. The wild mushroom salad is another amazing starter. I usually end up getting a fish option as my entrée. The tuna, salmon, and sea bass are always great choices. Lastly, you must get the banana’s foster. It’s one of the best desserts ever. The server lights it on fire and the inner child in me is always delighted.

This is one of our main destinations when we want to impress our out of town guests. The atmosphere is electric. The cuisine is superb. I usually get the lamb however most of the menu items are generously portioned. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products. We love the location near the cultural district in Ft.Worth.

Eddie V’s provided a great dining experience and wonderful opportunity to catch up with an old friend. When you’re seeing someone for the first time in years, you want a reasonably quiet place with a great atmosphere and wonderful food, and we got all that. The service was prompt, friendly, polite, and attentive — without being overbearing. We were never rushed, nor ever neglected. The food was outstanding, including melt-in-your-mouth beef and to-die-for fish. And then there was dessert… which was absolutely sinful. Ask the valet how to get in to the restaurant if you don’t know, as it is not obvious. It was also a little cold sitting against the windows(in an admittedly uncharacteristically cold night in December). These were minor in our overall experience. We certainly enjoyed ourselves, and left well-fed!

Really quite amazing food. Had a dozen Long Island oysters, so delicious I wanted another dozen, however I didn’t really the PRICE!!! $ 60(at this particular time, it’s market based.) :/a little pricy but darnnnnnnnn goooood!!! Oh SO good! Come have the oysters!!! OMF!!! We ordered a dry aged tomahawk steak and filet mignon, and jumbo bay scallops. A couple of sides. Everything was devine! The tomahawk was just delicious, soft and so tasty. The fillet mignon was as it should be, very pillowy and amazing. A couple of delicious drinks to go with our dinner. I think this dinner for a romantic date. A success! ;)

The BEST crab cake I’ve ever had. Better than Pappadeaux or Ruth Chris. The banana foster cake dessert is a MUST! They have a nice relaxing lounge atmosphere and have pianists or instrumentalists in the evenings.

Ate here for Thanksgiving this year. We arrived early, so we went to the lounge for drinks and apps. I had a house red and 6 oysters on the half-shell. The oysters were fresh and presented nicely on a large tray of ice withe usual sauces and trimmings. The oysters were a bit small, they also had not been cut full from the shell which seemed odd. Once we got seated at table I ordered redfish with meunière sauce and crabmeat and steamed asparagus as a side. The fish was tender and well prepared but a bit under-seasoned, the crabmeat and sauce added a delicious touch though. For desert I had their special pumpkin pie. It was scrumptious and creamy like pudding. The whiskey sauce on the pie elevated it as did the incredible pralines sprinkled on the plate. This was my first visit and I enjoyed the meal and atmosphere very much with the exception if a few minor details. Service was friendly and prompt and I would recommend this place to any one looking for a competently prepared meal in an elegant atmosphere at reasonable prices for an upscale dining experience.

Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite places. I love pretty much everything here that is seafood. The staff is always friendly & very attentive. And if it’s a special event they go out of their way to make you feel extra special. Cards, flowers it’s the little touches. On days I’m working in the area & don’t have a big appetite I’ll stop in for a Caesar salad, crabcake & a 24kt martini. And if your going for a larger meal you must try the lobster, always good!

Definitely one of my favorites for fine dining in Fort Worth! The atmosphere here is pretty upscale. The tables are a tad bit crowded in some parts of the restaurant though. Our server knew the menu like the back of his hand and was very helpful with the suggestions. He checked up on us a few times. When he got busy, other servers took care of us. We had the swordfish steak which was broiled with fresh lump crab, avocado, cilantro and red chile and the sautéed red fish that also came with fresh lump crab. They were both absolutely delicious. We topped the evening off with the hot chocolate Godiva cake that comes with vanilla ice-cream, which was equally delicious. Perfect spot for a special date night or a nice celebration. I would love to come back and try the other items on their delectable menu(:

This is a long overdue review. I don’t know how or why I have yet to brag on Eddie V’s! I’m not one for«chain» seafood and steakhouses but Eddie V’s shouldn’t even be put into the box. They’re far superior than most fine dining in Fort Worth! Do yourself a favor and get the seafood tower appetizer. It is so yummy, and our go-to appetizer when we dine at Eddie V’s. The flavor and freshness of the lobster is out of this world. Their wine list is great, and their cocktails are perfectly crafted. Love, love, love Eddie V’s, and always looking forward to returning.

Came in very early in the evening for dinner so it was very slow. For those that have left reviews when it was slammed mine is not. The service was amazing. My waitress checked with the hostess what my name was and introduced«Hello Mr. Bryant, i am ____and i’ll be your server this evening». that made it pretty special. She was knowledgeable of the menu and helped me choose my main course. She took the time to briefly talk personally to me about how i was doing and checked in throughout my meal. The food was delicious. I order some oysters as an appetizer which were outstanding. and for my main course i got a filet, lobster on top with a hollandaise sauce on the side. the filet was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. The atmosphere is very up scale, and everyone that works there is dressed very well. I came in under dressed like i do everywhere ;-) but i was not refused service or treated less because of it, nor did anyone look at me differently. The prices here are high. with my oysters, filet and lobster dinner, and 2 martinis i was at $ 120. One can eat cheaper here but it is easy to go big.

I have to admit I have struggled with my review for this restaurant. I found myself at Eddie V’s as a result of an invitation to a work colleagues 50th birthday celebration. My wife and I do not have a budget that will typically allow us to visit a place that is as swanky as Eddie V’s. Perhaps Texas de Brazil ranks close to what I have experienced at Eddie V’s, but not quite. Eddie V’s is a bit more elegant and upscale than Texas De Brazil. The pricing reflects the same. I found myself a little out of my league. I felt it necessary to mention this as I cannot compare Eddie V’s against many other dining experiences. Having said that… Strap on your seatbelt, keep your seatback and tray tables in their full upright and locked position. Here we go! Eddie V’s is a «prime» seafood restaurant. The waiter explained that they have a policy of water to plate in less than 24 hours without freezing any of their seafood. I found this impressive. As a youngster, I grew up on the back deck of my fathers shrimp boat during the summers. I developed an appreciation for fresh seafood. I have a bit of a bias against farmed seafood directly due to my upbringing near the Gulf of Mexico and the influence of my father. Eddie V’s played into my propensity for fresh seafood. They did not let me down. My impression coming in was a very nice and elegant restaurant. My wife was unable to attend due to a conflict in her work schedule. We were a group of about 10. The service was excellent. The waiter was professional and his demeanor and service fit the atmosphere of an elegant restaurant. I enjoyed the relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. I ordered a bowl of Maine Lobster and Shrimp Bisque, along with Jumbo Gulf Shrimp grilled«oreganata style» with fresh jonah crab. I selected water to drink. Both dishes were delicious. I have to agree their seafood is indeed«prime.» The shrimp were indeed jumbo, I would give them about a 16 to 20 count ratio on weight. It is my first time to be at a restaurant that charges $ 10 per every individual side dish. I decided to opt out of any side dishes for this visit. I am on month 14 of recovery from intensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. I return to work in one month and had to be careful with my budget. The server brought a complimentary Banana Foster to celebrate our colleagues 50th birthday. Another friend had purchased an outside cake that was delicious. The server cut it up carefully and seem to enjoy giving us special attention. The Banana Foster was one of the finest deserts I have ever had in my life. We all agreed it was over the top delicious! The total price including tip was about $ 58 for the bowl of soup and the shrimp. I would have to say do not go to Eddie V’s to be filled up with quantity, but I would suggest to go to be filled up with quality with the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the desert. I want to bring my wife some day for a special romantic meal. I think it might take some convincing to get her to relax and spend this level of money, but sometimes I believe it is worth the price to get an exceptional quality and a special meal. In order for me to give a five star rating, I have to not be able to give an establishment a recommendation for improvement. I felt the prices of $ 70 or more per person if one includes an appetizer, one entrée, water, and a side dish, was a bit steep. But that is also why I admitted upfront on this review that this restaurant is a bit out of my normal eating habits. Recommended if you have the budget.

My husband and I celebrated our 7th anniversary there and the place was ahhhhhh-mazzzzzing! I was«surprised» to see the table decorated with rose petals! It was beautiful. The staff was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable. The food. Ah, the food was ahhhhhmazing! First and foremost you have to get the calamari. I’d actually eat that for dinner with a salad alone. I took the recommendations for this panseared sea bass with a ginger soy sauce and my husband had the off menu steak and lobster. The food was so fresh and utterly amazing. For sides we had the crab fried rice and the truffle mac and cheese. I’m not a fan of mac & cheese but this was OK. The crab fried Rice was good but not the best. No matter what the food and service was so great we have to give this place five stars. We received a complimentary dessert and like everyone else the banana fosters cake was great. Crisp and caramel-y on the outside buttery and moist on the inside. Divine! We couldn’t stop raving about how fresh it was!

Superb sea food entrée and sides. The price is point is a bit high, but as the previous reviewers have said, you get what you paid for. The portions were generous and of quality. I was with my family for dinner, and I tried various tastes of the items they ordered. I’ll just mention the best ones I’ve had: Entrée: Sword Fish Steak Sides: truffle macaroni and cheese(also paired nicely with sweet corn) Dessert: banana foster I rated primarily on the food minus the desert. I thought the banana fosters were way too sweet for my tastes. The experience is like your any 5 star places, nothing amazingly unique.

I’m never coming back to try Eddie V’s again. Brought my mom in law here for Mother’s Day weekend. The place was extremely busy, understandably but we were able to get reservations for 7pm. We were seated promptly in a bustling dining area. Here’s where it all went wrong. Drink orders were simply, two waters and an iced tea. The waitress brought two waters. Ice tea was no where to be found until I finally asked the waitress a second time. I was trying to be reasonable since it looked like a very busy evening. After I asked the waitress, she admitted that she completely forgot. Next we order an appetizer and later the entrée dishes. My mom in law orders the sole. I order the filet mignon. We also order a few side dishes. A different waiter brings out the entrees. My mom in law offers a taste of her fish, which I tried and said it tastes like salmon. Since we’ve never had sole before, we go with it. The waitress stopped by and I let her know that we were missing a side dish. She returns to tell us that they are out of fries. Yes. Fries. So we order a different side and it never made its way to our table. No extra side. While we were talking to the waitress about the missing side dish, I see the wheels turning in her head. She’s noticing something but doesn’t say anything. She returns 10 mins later, after we’ve completed half of our meal to tell us that they brought out the salmon to my mom in law. The really pricey seafood restaurant also cannot tell the difference between the sole and salmon. She doesn’t offer to replace the dish, but tells us that she noticed it was wrong and told her manager. She just wanted to make sure everything tasted fine. She said desert is on the house. Yippee! I was about to lose my cool but it was momma’s day and we were already there for 2 hours. I’m over this place after one visit. Manager never came over to apologize for the mix up. My steak was super charred and dry. And I hate writing long reviews.

We had our 9 year anniversary dinner here. I made a reservation via open table on the way there. We didn’t need a reservation because we practically had the place to ourselves. Well, it was 10:00 at night, so there’s that. We were immediately seated. The service was awesome. Our waiter explained the menu and the specials, suggested wines for us to try, and answered any questions we had. For appetizer, we got the batterfried oysters. Fried oysters with light curry and cilantro, with pickled asian cucumber. They were pretty good. You can opt how many you want. Like they came with 5, but they added a 6 so we could split them evenly. The second course, I got the wild mushroom salad and husband got the Maine lobster and shrimp bisque. I LOVED the wild mushroom salad. Mushrooms with goat cheese and arugula. The bisque wasn’t thick and creamy like a bisque, it was more like a soup. Main course, I got the Florida Grouper with Broccolini. I added Scallops to my meal. My husband got the NY Strip Au Poivre with black peppercorn sauce with Truffle Mac & Cheese. You can pair any steak with a seafood so he got crab stuffed shrimp. My grouper was light tasting and good. My husband loves peppercorn sauce and it wasn’t the sauce as he expected. Most peppercorn sauces are thick and may come with mushrooms. This peppercorn sauce was runny. The steak was good though. The truffle mac & cheese was pretty good as well. For Dessert, we got the bananas foster. It was yummy and loved the ice cream that came with.

I would totally give this five stars, but there were a couple things that went awry. First off, their Easter menu had some amazing options. I decided to go with the Maine lobster and crab bisque as my first course, the lobster eggs Benedict as my main, and the crème brûlée for dessert. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start including the calamari and a huge crab cake. The calamari was really, really yummy and definitely done in a way I have never seen! I didn’t have any of the crab cake, but it looked good. Moving on, my bisque… which unfortunately was more of a soup, was subpar. Our reservation was later in the day, so I assume it was the last bit of ladle left. Everyone else had gotten a chowder high was a large portion and looked great. Mine was a tiny cup, it was lukewarm, and there was one little chunk of lobster/crab. Kind of disappointed, but whatever. Next came my eggs! I had asked for no bacon(I don’t eat pork/beef) and surprise! There was bacon. Once again, whatever, I just pulled it off. The rest of the dish was absolutely delicious! We had a few sides including au gratin, truffle Mac & cheese, and snap peas. The first too were to diiiieeee for, I didn’t have any of the last. Our server comes out near the end to let us know that the crème brûlée didn’t have enough time to set, but he serves it anyways. And sadly, it was just really bad. Like, hadn’t set at ALL. And I mean, sure, it can be a complicated dish(I guess) but I’m bummed that they put it on their Easter menu and then didn’t even have it available. Like, come on guys! So I switched to the s’mores thing and it was okay. They comped our dessert(although I think not mine since it was part of the $ 45 set menu, whatever) so at least they tried to make good. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad, but the food kind of fell flat here and there.
