I’ve noted before that it seems, for whatever reason, that most video game store employees don’t harbor, during the course of any given day, a single unexpressed thought, and after my most recent pop into one of these establishments(this one on Berry St), I came to a couple of conclusions. A) clearly at least part of me is still eight years old and B) I think that it’s at least possible that these guys are *trained* to say every errant or idle thing that pops into their heads. I don’t know if they figure that their walk in audience is entirely comprised of Ritalin cases, but suffice it to say, it’s a curious development and tends to make each of these places its own little weird biosphere. So I don’t go particularly often. But every now and again I get to jonesing for something new to play, and it was one such occurance that had me rifling through the aisles and bins here, looking for what I hoped was a great time killer on the cheap. Worth noting of this Gamestop in particular: decent selection, they’re *very* big on pushing you for feedback on your way out the door, and it looks like they’re fairly platform agnostic: lots of XBOX, PS3, Wii and the rest on the make. And lest I forget, I found the game I was after for about twenty bones less than I was seeing it elsewhere, so they definitely deserve credit for that. Now if I can just sort out how to navigate the chatter.

This location has very friendly and helpful staff. Every time I go in they start a conversation with me and talk about the latest and greatest stuff in the video game world. They know what they are talking about and they can even talk about the obscure games with you. They are true video game geeks: p There is a fairly good selection here, with all your main platform games, wii, xbox 360, ps3, ds, etc. They sell both new and old games(I suggest you buy used because it is cheaper and you can still return it if you aren’t pleased), as well as buy old games back from you. If you are selling games, it is better to get store credit then cash because you will get more money that way. That is, if you plan on buying stuff at gamestop. For some reason, I just feel more comfortable at this gamestop than at the one in the mall or the one on hulen. Maybe it’s the layout, maybe it’s the employees, I’m not sure. But if you are going to buy or sell video games somewhere in Fort Worth, I suggest you choose this Gamestop.
