I took a very high quality CZ tennis bracelet into Jared’s to have a connector fixed. The person who greeted me when I walked in took the item, looked at it then told me they could not fix it because it did not have real diamonds. I told her I just needed a connector fixed and ask her to show it to her repair person. She refused. I took the bracelet to a locally owned jewelry store(opposed to a national chain) and they said ‘no problem, we will have it to you in 3 days’. No, I will never return to Jared. Quite offensive.

I wish it was possible to give no stars at all. They did everything they possibly could to make my engagement a horrible experience. When my fiancé picked the ring, it had the incorrect prongs. He accepted it because he had the proposal planned and they had to order the correct one. I brought it back to have the ones we wanted put on, and the entire diamond was crooked. They tried to fix it on the spot, but ended up having to completely replace the prongs again because they were so ruined. The third time I came to get it, the diamond was still crooked, and they had to redo it again! Every time I went to pick it up they tried to pass off their horrible craftsmanship without me noticing. They had no regard for quality, honesty, or integrity.

While they did fix what they did, at first they tired to pass off their irresponsible craftsmanship as quality. I brought my engagement ring in for a resizing and they ruined my ring. Yep, they over heated the stone and smoked out the color. I had to research that last bit, because they never admitted it was something they did, they blamed the ultrasonic which was not the problem, too much heat(not paying attention to the stone you are working with) will cause the stone to lose its color. I brought in a light blue topaz ring, picked it up and it was clear. They let me leave hoping my fiancée and I wouldn’t notice. Yes, they ordered a new stone and fixed it, but they never refunded me, the bottom line is they destroyed the ring my fiancé picked for me, never sincerely apologized or admitted fault and did the absolute minimum the rectify the situation. Every time I drive by a Jared I cringe.
