Lemongrass Salon and Spa – Camp Bowie

First off my review is based on my experience at the new Hulen location. I recently went in to have my hair colored and highlighted. Everyone was very professional and I did not have to wait to meet my stylist. My stylist was very nice and showed me around the new salon. She told me that because my hair was so dry I should try the deep conditioning treatment. She came up and told me that the price for the color was $ 225 plus an additional $ 25 for the treatment. I have been to many if not all the high end salons in Fort Worth and have NEVER spent that much. Please keep in mind that my hair is shoulder length and was very blonde. I wanted to go a rich dark brown with partial highlights and a few red lowlights. I received a very nice hand massage while waiting for my hair process. Once I got back in the chair she explained that it would be an additional $ 30 or so dollars to blow dry and style my hair… Wait, WHAT?! Are you serious? How am I going to justify spending over $ 250 for a hair color and treatment and not even get to see the final result before dishing out more money? I went ahead a hesitantly agreed for the blow out. I also wanted to have my hair trimmed to get rid of some of the dead ends but I’m sure it would have sent me over the $ 300 price range so I didn’t even mention it. I ended up liking my hair but it was not the picture I initially showed her of what I was wanting. I absolutely loved the stylist but unless you have very deep pockets I would stray away from this place.

I really think this location is better than University. I got in quickly. No wait on arrival. Everyone was very friendly.
My hair stylist gave me a great hand massage. She suggested a mask, which was pricy – that I did BUT was upfront about her pricing and the price of the mask. Totally appreciated that. The cut was great and not rushed. She did a great job on the blow out too. I have Really really long hair, so some get lazy w it.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was bc I thought my brows were overpriced and didn’t look nearly as good as getting them threaded. I’ll be back for a cut tho.

I have been incredibly pleased with my many appointments here. The staff is very welcoming, the environment is calm and inviting, it’s everything one would expect in an Aveda salon. If you are searching for an upscale salon experience, look no further.

Sara DeBusk at Lemongrass is amazing. She always nails it with my hair — it’s never looked better — and she is great to work with! Everyone else at Lemongrass is great, too — super friendly and helpful. The salon itself is gorgeous, large, clean and has good parking — all things that do factor in when selecting a salon. Highly, highly recommended!
