Mrs. Renfro’s

Is their ONE thing I MUST have in the fridge at ALL times?, well for me it’s a variety of salsa!, Tapatio, Sriracha, and generally some home made salsa.
With plenty of Latin Markets in the City In a pinch I’ll also grab some homemade salsa from them, well one day while at Ralph’s I checked out their selection of salsa’s and after looking over a few labels Mrs. Renfro’s caught my eye, All Natural, No Preservatives, with a variety of flavors I tried the Habanero, and was hooked.
I’m not a Ralph’s shopper but had to go back to check out some other flavors, looking over their webpage I now look forward to trying more flavors, can’t believe I’m hooked on a bottled salsa!, these are in order of my liking from top to bottom.
Habanero —
Labeled HOT this was my favorite, real nice flavor with heat.
Ghost Pepper —
Labeled Caution Scary HOT well it was good, not as hot as I thought it would be and definitely not scary hot, though you do get a deeper burn in the back of your throat.
Green —
Labeled HOT for those who think green = mild this one will get ya!, made from a jalapeño base and not tomatillo this is a real good salsa verde!
Tequila —
Labeled Medium well you ain’t gettin’ drunk off this salsa!, and I would consider it more mild than med, it’s got a slight sweetness as brown sugar is one of the ingredients.
Pomegranate —
also labeled Medium, definitely MILD way TOO sweet… might make a good BBQ sauce but not a salsa for my liking!
