I stopped in here for a solo breakfast today. After a short wait, the hostess took me to my table before it was even clean, and I had to stand and awkwardly wait while they wiped it down and finished clearing the last customers’ mess away. The table and chair were still wet when I sat down. The server took my drink and food order at the same time. My food arrived literally a few minutes after I ordered, before the server even brought my drinks. The busser who delivered the food didn’t say a word to me and practically threw the plate on my table. I remarked to the server that I don’t think I have ever had my food delivered before my drinks, and she told me they were«really focusing on fast ticket times». I told her at the time it was OK(I hadn’t tasted the awful food yet), but you NEVEREVERSAYTHISTO A CUSTOMER., period, ever. So rude and in such poor taste. The eggs were scrambled into tiny pieces, the pancakes were cold, and the bacon was barely cooked. The server never came back to check on me, and I had to go to the register to even get my ticket. For a $ 5.95 breakfast plate, I guess you get what you pay for, but in the future I will pay a few more bucks and not get rushed«service» and nasty food.

First they didn’t answer the phone so i had to go and sit in the café while they made the food(not that big a deal on its own). Then i get home with the food to realize that they had put two stirofoam containers full of soap on their sides and now it all leaked in my truck. then i get yelled at by the wife because her turkey and dressing has no dressing. The women at the front was nice but thats all they have going for them.

My family has been coming here since they opened back when it was part of the chain. We moved away and came back and found its not the same. Omelette was good, and rye toast was… but grits were soup, sausage seemed to be heat and serve. the best part was the friendly waitress. Thanks but we won’t be back.

My fiancéé and I have gone here twice for breakfast, since it’s just down the street from our house. It’s been busy but not packed both times, probably around 8:30am on a Sunday and Saturday. The waitstaff is friendly, the food is good, and the prices aren’t bad. It’ll probably be our go-to breakfast place in the area, unless we feel like getting up early, driving farther, and waiting longer to go to Old West Café. The omelets are excellent though, I’ve had the Mexican Omelet and the Works Omelet, both were nice and fluffy with plenty of fillings.

Our first visit as we were looking for a new place to enjoy breakfast. Great American style breakfast, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Excellent homemade biscuits! Will definitely go back.

Total southern comfort food for breakfast at reasonable prices. The wait staff is friendly. The portions are big. And most importantly the food will not disappoint. Luckily this is by my goddaughter’s house, so next time I drop in I am hitting this place up again. DELICIOUS!

Mehhhh. Their service was awesome but the food was mediocre. The hash brown was nice and crispy but my biscuits were super dry. Even when it was under a serving of sausage gravy. Which by the way wasn’t hot:. The sausage gravy was good but again not hot. I do plan on coming back to work on this review.

Interesting little place. What’s more interesting is the huge array of comments on this place. So let’s wait for the opinion and have the facts. I ordered 3 eggs, hash browns, bacon two pancakes and some toast with orange juice. My wife ordered SOS, 4 biscuits 2 eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and gravy with a soda. The total came out to 22.50 for the both of us. Now my opinion, the food was good, large portion for what we played. Our server was… a little bland but that’s just a minor quip. I would say hit this place up and make your own opinion. We will be coming back to this little gem.

I was a little disappointed not with their service or staff but the quality of food and appearance. Eggs benedict sauce just wasn’t cutting it, my hash browns were cooked perfect but my wife’s hash brown was very under cook and extremely oily. My pancake plate was chipped pretty bad.

Pass by all the time going to family video, decided to have breakfast here this morning around 8am. This place had all the signs of a typical friendly diner but in a much cleaner atmosphere. Dining room was very well kept and simple. I ordered the breakfast sampler which comes with 2 eggs cooked your way, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and your choice of pancakes, toast or biscuit. Everything tasted great and cooked just the way i ordered. Even the hashbrowns cooked a little crispier for me just how i asked. I will definitely be back here more often for breakfast. Might even make it part of my monday morning routine. **UPDATE** So i decided to come back the very next day for breakfast again, this time i noticed the enviroment was very lively at 9am in the morning. Oldies rock and roll style music playing, not to loud just right as to not interfere with you speaking. The establishment seemed to have a pretty good crowd, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I ordered the same breakfast sampler with a few changes in between. I really seem to be liking this atmosphere especially this early in the morning. Before my food arrived a server came to my table and asked if i would need any tabasco for my meal, she read my my mind lol Everyone that works here seems very nice and genuinely cares about customer service. My food was cooked perfect once again, the pancakes are a bit small but they are excellent in taste. Im going to become a regular here if they keep up the good work.

We came here for a quick brunch after visiting Gateway Church across the street. As expected on a Sunday morning, there was a wait, but we were seated within 5 – 7 minutes. The décor was nice, and fitting for a restaurant of this type. The restaurant appeared clean and well-kept, and both restrooms were decent. We ordered the S.O.S. with hash browns, which came out hot and in a timely manner. Everything tasted great, especially the biscuits, which were light and fluffy. Service here was good. A friendly waitress was quick to take and deliver our drink order, and a very polite bus boy took our plates when we were finished. The lady working the cash register was sweet, and all dressed up in Halloween gear. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but not outstanding, which is why I give it a 4 out of 5. I would come back! Oh, it also bears mentioning that there is a display of delicious-looking icebox pies up front — maybe I’ll try one of those next time

Horrible experience. Bad service from the start, then waited nearly 30 minutes for food. Was served the wrong thing, requested to have what I ordered, was then treated rudely as I had the food violently ripped from my hands, by no less than the owner. Immediately left without tasting the food, but I have to say it was cold, congealed and looked thoroughly unappetizing. If you want to be treated like dirt and served the wrong gross looking food, this is the place for you! Otherwise, you could get a better experience ANYWHERE else.

Very nice change from Crackle Barrel. I had«The Works» omelette with hashbrowns and was impressed. Impressed with the fact that it wasn’t a plate full of grease. Not to mention they know how to make real hashbrowns… CRISPY! Awesome little breakfast and very polite waitress! Thumps up!

I went here with 2 of my brothers for the first time today. There was a wait but we didn’t wait longer than 10 mins. It was an asian man who sat everyone and I read another comment that he was unfriendly and didn’t say much, but it was really busy, he moved very quickly so I didn’t mind no small talk. Our server came by probably 5 – 10 mins after we were sat. We went ahead and ordered food too, but server didn’t come back with drinks for at least 20 mins. She apologized and asked us to forgive her… I ordered the southern scrambler(I think that’s what it’s called) — 2 biscuit halves, scrambled eggs, hash browns & sausage gravy. I didn’t know everything came stacked on top of the biscuit. It tasted good, but I prefer each component to be separate. One of my brothers ordered an omelette, which looked really good — eggs weren’t brown or overcooked anywhere. My other brother got chicken fried chicken with mac-n-cheese and corn. Mashed potatoes came out, which was no big deal, but the very pleasant food runner heard us and said she would take care of that immediately. Our server came out with Mac-n-cheese but had no idea who to give it to until I got her attention. The grits with the omelette and Mac-n-cheese were pretty runny. My brother had extra biscuits n gravy, so I asked the server for a small to-go box. Again, she came back to the area and had no idea which table needed the box until I got her attention. She left us the check and apologized again. We took our check to the front to pay and there was a line. The asian manager/host offered to ring up my ticket so I appreciated not having to wait for the line. My favorite part of breakfast were the speedy manager and the biscuits — soft and flaky with good buttery flavor. I would definitely go back and just hope it’s a different server next time.

This was our first time here. The man at the front sitting people was not nice at all. No hello no follow me nothing. I have no idea why he’s the first point of contact. It was our waitress’ first day but really no complaints there she was great. The grits were very runny, the omelet was good and the hash browns were the right amount of crispy. Overall good place. Think I’ll skip the grits next time.

I love this place! It maybe a little greasy sometimes but its good home country cookin’ and I love it! Its like going to your Southern Grandma’s for a goodmeal! I rarely get breakfast here but my mom does all the time. I love their crispy chicken sandwich, its like chicken fired chicken on a bun with lattice and tomato which is just perfect! Also, I normally don’t have chicken noodle soup at «other» restaurants because its so bland but here at Our Café, O.M.G! Super delicious!!! The perfect chicken noodle soup you will ever have! Yes they do get busy even on weekdays, but the staff is super friendly and can remember your face even if you rarely go, and I love that. Just be a little more patience here. This isn’t your normal hurry up and get out the door type restaurant. Plus would hurry up and run out the door at your grandmother’s house after she made you a good meal? Sit back, enjoy and relax!

Although the ownership has changed recently due to health problems the wait staff and cooks are still the same. Great food and service. Omelettes are very large and tasty, hash browns cooked perfectly, nice and brown color and just the right crispness. I hate the places that serve me hash whites. Weekends get very busy for breakfast, but who wants to eat at a place nobody else wants to eat at. If you have young ones there is Leanne«aka The Balloon Lady» to make balloon animals for the kids and yes adults too. We love this part because the kids are less bored while waiting and we can bribe them to eat their food.

Great service! They still opened at 6 today despite the bad weather. Had a great breakfast this morning with my boyfriend. Place has a good home feeling to it. Loved the hash. It was nice and crispy, unlike other places where it has that soggy texture. Service was great and fast. Definently coming back.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Ever since the ownership change and name change things have progressive fallen in quality. Today may be my last breakfast here. Hash browns were charred, works omelette looked horrible, had no flavor, and on the second bite something went«crunch», which ended my desire to eat.

This is our favorite breakfast place, so we eat there most weekends. It is a small place, so it really does feel a lot more personal than the chain restaurants. I haven’t really noticed the prices being any higher than any other breakfast place, like some reviewers. I will say we have learned to order less, as the portions are quite large. I get a ham, cheese and broccoli omelet by itself, and have some of my girlfriends pancakes or whatever if I’m still hungry. It’s pretty large, so I am usually full without feeling like I need to go back to bed. If you get there early, like before 10, I haven’t had to wait. I few times the food has came out so quickly, it almost seemed too fast. I guess it doesn’t take that long to whip up some eggs. If you get there later you may have to wait a few minutes, but that is any place good in Texas. People aren’t shy about eating around here. If you do have kids, there is always a lady that goes from table to table making them balloon animals. I suppose if you ask nicely, she would make them for anyone. Nice touch.

While not our favorite breakfast place, this is a solid choice. The food is fresh and comes out fairly quickly. The employees are very friendly as well. The portions are large and we always leave happy and with full bellies. It is nice to have this place so close to our house. It does get busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings but that is to be expected. We have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes for our family of 4 to get seated.

Food is good, but VERY greasy. Pretty pricey too. For myself, husband and two small boys, our meal was almost $ 40 for breakfast. Staff is friendly, place is clean, but just not worth the high prices.
