I love it here and it’s the best mall for kids. It’s sad to see all the stores closing. It is clean and seems to be maintained well. I prefer it over Hulen mall any day! We took our nieces here and they loved riding the stuffed motorized animals and the train. Really, it’s a fun place!

Macys is now closed! It was my favorite store and the only reason I come to this mall. There are not many stores or choices here. There are many abandoned stores, and an empty chilis that’s been there forever. Neiman marcus is also closing next year. This mall sucks, and they can’t keep any stores around, not even their anchor stores!

What happened to the forever 21 here !?! I like the H & M… But you also need a forever 21 to balance it out! I used to come here a lot when I was younger, when malls were cool, now this place is slowly going down like North Hills Mall. Do y’all remember that mall? :)

NOGUNS = NOMONEY Ridgmar Mall was one of my favorite locations to shop, until they decided to put up a 30.06 sign… denying my 2nd amendment. They used to allow concealed carry before the new law and now decided to do away with guns altogether. NOGUNS = NOMONEY P. S. Change your signs to allow concealed carry at least and you’ll regain my business.

I went to this mall for the first time while visiting the DFW i went on a saturday night and mall wasn’t that busy especially on a saturday. As i walking around the mall they do have very nice stores like H&M, Old Navy, Pacsun, Neimen Marcus a nice food court, and a movie theater. Ridgmar is a good mall if you like peaceful shopping this mall will not dissappoint.

To me, it just seems like Ridgmar just gets worse and worse and worse, instead of better. In the past week, I’ve heard something very interesting regarding this mall from two different people. Supposedly, the JCPenney here is relocating to the much busier La Gran Plaza. I don’t really find this hard to believe, since La Gran receives 5 million visitors per year! I’m almost certain Ridgmar doesn’t receive a fifth of those visitors. The other rumor is that Dillards is leaving altogether,(no relocation), since they already have a location at Hulen. Both of these are purely rumors, as neither store looks as if they’re closing at the moment, and you cannot find anything about this online. I just wonder if anyone else has heard the same thing. Macy’s was also looking pretty barren today, and basically everything I saw was on sale. I’m not sure why, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they might be in the beginning stages of closing? There’s no signs saying so, but it just looks unusually empty. I very well may be wrong. It’s just a feeling. The only good thing in store for this poor mall is the opening of H&M, which is opening later this year. Besides that, things are looking pretty bleak. Places like Windsor have relocated to Hulen, places like Charlotte Russe, Image, Aeropostale, Wet Seal, Dairy Queen, Chili’s, El Fenix, and many, many others. There’s probably around 30 vacant storefronts. And some of the«stores» here are medicare places, a breast cancer research place or something involving breast cancer, «ogle» schools,(hairstylist schools), and other places of the such. I just noticed that Ridgmar doesn’t have, and has never had as far as I know, a Gap. Or a Hollister, or an Abercrombie and Fitch. This mall seriously needs a renovation soon and some more non-sketchy stores.

I did not enjoy being here, in fact check out my experience here at Dillard’s. While I was walking through the mall, there was not much to see lots of closed stores, I did not see much things going, the food court is a little better than Irving Mall, and such. They just have typical stores of malls… that I don’t even shop at. The Neiman Marcus here doesn’t have a good collection like the store in Dallas does and traffic here seems moderately okay for such a boring mall. Never coming back since I don’t even live here, rather give North East Mall in Hurst or Stonebriar Mall in Frisco my time. This mall is sorta outdated, it needs a new facelift.

Oh Ridgmar Mall. You’ve really been through the ringer over the years. I’ve lived in Fort Worth most of my life so I’ve seen this place in good times, I’ve seen this place in disrepair, I’ve seen it after the massive hail storms a decade or so back and I’ve seen it pristine after more than one remodel. Right now, I’d give it about a 3 out of five. It’s not falling apart, but there are so many empty slots it seems lately. But this place is still home to my favorite(and closest to my home) movie theater. They used to call it the Rave, but recently it’s been called Cinemark I guess? I dunno, I have no interest in keeping up with who owns them until I start getting crummy service or experiences and that hasn’t happened yet. As far as theaters within my driving distance, this is still the best place to go it seems. The appear to be getting remodeled right now, but after a particularly miserable experience at the Movie Bistro where I missed a huge chunk of Avengers 2, I went back here with my cousin Joe to watch it properly on a better screen and with their great sound systems. Going back to Ridgmar mall, I always root for this place. There’s been times when it seemed like you wouldn’t be able to find a parking place because so many people were shopping there, and there’s been times when it seemed so desolate you’d have to run from survey takers because you were the only one in sight… spooky. For right now though, they have a good selection of stores and the place always seems reasonably clean and tidy.

What has happened to Ridgmar? We went last weekend and 10 stores are gone. It’s an ok mall. I used to come for JcPenny because Hulen doesn’t have one. The parking is plentiful. It’s hardly ever busy anymore. They have a Rave theater. I used to go to the Spa tea gardens near Macy for pedicures and manicures. My husband bought me earrings for my birthday and I will say Helzberg Diamonds is better than the Hulen location. The girl was helpful, but wasn’t over bearing like the lady at Hulen. Anyway, it’s sad to see Ridgmar going down hill.

Ridgmar is pretty sad these days. Several stores have either closed or are in the process of closing and it’s hard to find a good reason to shop there. Wonder what is going on to cause so many stores to leave(ones that are not going out of business).

My family and I hung out at this mall for a little over 5 hours. My boys are 5 and 7. The indoor playground, the ride on animals, bungee jump and laser tag kept them entertained. The mall is air conditioned. I’m from Hawaii and maybe our mall is outdated, but this mall had a few unique stores as well as usuals I wanna see. I thought it was a great mall and so did my boys. Wish we had one like it in Hawaii and it was very clean and pleasurable!!!

Worked in this mall for years and is purely for sentimental reasons that it earns that second star. Management has been running on auto pilot since the remodel over ten years ago. They have consistently tried to raise rent to cover tenants that have left, causing more to leave(Chili’s, Charlotte Russe). It’s slowly filling up now with d-list regional stores and a dozen cell phone related shops. Nieman Marcus, one of the last good reasons for anyone to go there, is rumored to be leaving soon. It’s a hugely wasted opportunity in a busy location and I predict the combination of Hulen Mall getting a new tollway and Bryant Irvin building the new Waterside shopping development will finally put this place out of its misery.

It’s not the newest mall in my choices in Fort Worth, but it’s usually my go to. Maybe because it’s closer to home, or maybe because I hate the traffic on Hulen. There’s a rave theater here– with extreme theater options. The parking isn’t too bad. There’s a smaller Dillards, Nieman Marcus, Victorias Secret and a Marquise Jeweler that I’ve become fond of. A OK is a good description.

This mall is an older one with a little updating circa 2000. I have been here twice: once during the Christmas shopping season(Nov 2011) and once during the summer when school is out(Aug 2013). What a difference. This mall really woos it customers around Christmas: all of the lights are turned on, all of the kiosks are occupied and attended, and music plays throughout the mall. During August… not so much. There are a few fun things for the little ones(carousel, playground), but they’re not well maintained and didn’t appear oft-cleaned when we were there. In fact, that basically describes the overall feeling of the mall rather well.

The only way to get to Dr Le’s office and the Lenscrafters next door is to enter this unfortunate mall. I felt like I had stepped into a time warp. I could deal with it being an unattractive space if the stores were decent, but the selection is terrible. There are a few decent anchor stores that need updated, but aside from those there is nothing remotely interesting in this mall. A sea of junk stores. I didn’t know Spencer’s was still in business. That’s my nightmare. There are 2 things I look for first in a mall, Starbucks and Sephora. Neither of those are here. OK, I can deal. But I couldn’t believe there isn’t a Gap or Express, I thought those were mall staples. I’ll give it a 2 star for Dr Le(who is great) and Lenscrafters, but the rest is fail.

I like this place a lot and it’s down the street from me. Its kinda small, but decent. And the playground is regularly cleaned and is pretty big which is a plus for me. With a Neiman Marcus and a Sephora(albeit inside JC Penney’s) it satisfies me plenty for how close to me it is. Their food court isn’t the greatest though. There’s one stand out place called the Famous Cajun Grill if I remember correctly. Most of the food they sell is Chinese take out… funny right? But with a couple of «cajun» dishes, spicy sausage and cajun potatoes.(just the ones I remember) Pretty good though.

Ridgmar, Oh Ridgmar… if only the staff could only figure out your secrets. Ridgmar is such a baffling mall. The whole place was gorgeously remodeled mostly inside(and somewhat out) about 5 — 10 years ago(see pics). It has a large kids play area, a merry-go-round(for KAI S.) and a Joint Naval Base right around the corner(you can watch jets take off from the parking lot). But it still feels like Hulen Mall’s little sibling(which is not too far away). As far as a mall to walk around or hang out in, I couldn’t recommend this mall enough(seems like that’s what everyone else is doing). But having a beautiful place to hang out in certainly doesn’t look to bring on the impulse in many people to actually shop. My only complaint… Dead Ends. I don’t think I ever get the same empty impression at other malls like I do at the North and South ends of Ridgmar Mall(even though they have businesses and a Rave Theater(South End) in those areas). Maybe its all the buzz going on in the middle of the mall(Kids Area /Food Court) and really nothing on the ends that causes those feelings… I don’t know, but it’s a weird phenomenon that seems to be making it hard to keep vendors in those areas. But otherwise, the Disneyland of malls in the Fort Worth area and I highly recommend seeing it for yourself.
