My wife and I had the unusual opportunity to have a night to ourselves away from the kids. So we decided we wanted to indulge ourselves with a dinner outing. We opted for steak… prime rib to be exact. This is a real treat for us as it is not something that we are able to do very often due to kids and the extra expense. We decided to eat at you restaurant on Hulen. Everything was fine until we received our meal. Three or four bites into our steaks, my wife and I looked at each other and immediately came to the same awful conclusion… we were chewing on leather. These had to be the toughest prime ribs we had ever eaten. My jaws were getting sore with all of the chewing it took to get a single bite down. We mentioned this to the manager. While she was certainly apologetic, she offered to bring us another steak, but we really didn’t have time for that because we had movie tickets. She offered a dessert… that we really didn’t want and didn’t have time to eat anyway; a fact we pointed out to her. She again apologized and told us to let our server know if we changed our minds. So we debated and asked the server to give us a brownie… to go. So we get around to eating the brownie while we are waiting for the movie and it is like eating bitter, chocolate flavored sand. In short, I found myself wishing we’d eaten just about anywhere else than your restaurant. I later came to find out that some sort of regional management was in the building that night. In retrospect, I should have asked to speak with this person. The serving staff was excellent, but all of the excellence in world can’t mitigate the disaster of a $ 21 piece of shoe leather served to a customer. I dare say we will not be back.

Our waitress and the manager were very friendly, however they just could not get my steak cooked right. That was the whole reason I wanted to go there and it tasted terrible.

I ate at the bar. The chicken fried chicken was amazing as always. So were the rolls and salad. Add shiner and it’s an amazing night.

I always give Texas Roadhouse a 4 dt the delicious bread/butter and pretty decent food and alcohol. This location has sucky service, so it gets a 3.

Always great service and great food! You can eat peanuts while you wait for your table and fresh baked rolls and cinnamon butter while you wait for your food!

I really really really love Texas Roadhouse. Yes, it’s loud and busy and there are peanuts everywhere… but it kind of adds to the charm of the place. I’ve never ever been disappointed any time I’ve visited. The steaks are always juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The side choices are vast and all of them are super good. I usually get the mashed potatoes, the apple sauce, or the green beans. It’s hard to narrow it down to two. And then you have the ROLLS. The rolls with the cinnamon butter… they’re absolutely sinful. And they keep them coming as long as you want. I also love that they have ‘early dine’ options and you can get a full meal for like $ 8.99. Regular hour pricing is great as well. My favorites are the 8 oz sirloin, cooked rare, or the beef tips with grilled onions, mashed potatoes, and gravy.

I live in Saginaw and were down in the area to do some shopping. We decided on Texas Roadhouse over the other establishments in the area. It was a Saturday night and my wife and I expected a wait of some sort. It actually wasn’t that bad for the wait time, about 15 – 20 minutes. Our«device» alerted us that they were ready for us and we went in. First thing that struck me odd was that we gave them the pager and they kinda acted dumbstruck as to what to do. In hindsight, we should have just walked out then. They seated us and ran off. A short time later our server arrived. The person got our drink order and came back with them in pretty good time. We had enough time to decide what we wanted and ordered. I was fairly thirsty from walking around and went through my first glass of tea quickly. I sat the glass at the edge of the table. Server after server walked by without even a glance. My wife and I asked 3 different servers if I could get a refill. This went on long enough that she had got her salad and I got my cup of chili and had eaten them and I still didn’t have a refill. Finally, my wife trying to ease my frustration took the glass and asked the hostess if someone could get a refill. They showed up a about 5 minutes later with a new glass. I ordered a prime rib and asked for it medium rare to medium as I had a bad experience recently asking for a medium rare steak.(long story short, the steak came out crunchy on the outside and raw on the inside). The prime rib was tough. How do you make a tough prime rib? They also gave me a ¼ cup of au jus. It was barely enough to wet the meat. To be fair, the ribs my wife ordered were to her satisfaction and the the rest of the meal was okay. Truthfully there wasn’t much else to screw up. Steak fries, a side salad and chili aren’t terribly hard items to make. I did manage to go through a second glass of tea. It’s not hard when over 50% of the drink is ice. I didn’t even get offered another cup until they brought the check. I was so frustrated when I got the substandard steak that I just ate it and wanted to pay and get out of there. One of the staff made the error of asking if everything was okay. I let them know it was not in a polite manner. They finally picked up my bill and ran my card. It took a while for them to bring back the receipts. My wife and I despise not tipping even when the service is a little off as we have both worked customer service positions in our lives. However, this was inexcusable. We felt invisible and like no one cared we were there. On average our tips are about 20% no matter the size of the bill. Hell, we have tipped large(over 20%) on even small bills if the person wowed us. I couldn’t even bring myself to tip the staff in this case. My wife wasn’t fond of the decision, but I had more than enough. Before I left, I did get an apology and a coupon for a future meal. I won’t be using it though. This location blew it bad. If we go to a Texas Roadhouse in the future, it will be the one we normally visit near North Beach St. on the north side of 820. I was only inclined to give 2 stars as some of the food was good. It would have been one star otherwise.

Horrible service. Ok food. The waitress, Meredith, gave us no attention, barely even bothered to smile and when she messed things up, didn’t even seem to care. I used to love Texas Road house and was seriously disappointed. I was given the wrong drink, waited on salad for 30 minutes to be left with no silverware and then they were out of what my boyfriend ordered and didn’t bother to tell us until the food was delivered, which was mediocre. I dont plan on going back.

Accommodating a large birthday group on a Sunday afternoon can be tricky. Our server did a great job handling several seniors in our group. When the manager realized our birthday cake had accidentally been served to another party, she quickly remedied the situation by sending a server out to a nearby store to purchase the same type cake and comp’d our meal. Food is always good and they have a loyal customer in me!

Loved the service! Our server was so sweet and knew exactly what she was talking about. She always kept our drinks filled and always gave us fresh bread. Our food was really good! Our steak was cooked exactly the way we asked and the food was served promptly. The atmosphere is great for families and date night! Great food and great service! Very happy after our date. Keep up the good work! And I’d highly recommend it to others.

Man, I’m having a bad month of establishments I used to frequent and enjoy letting me down. I won’t break out the list or anything, but Roadhouse is the latest one. Allow me to set the scene. We show up on a Friday. Now if you go out on a Friday night you know you’re going to wait a while for a table and we’re(«we» meaning my girlfriend and I) fine with that. You expect it. We were told the wait was going about 20 minutes. After 30 minutes folks who were waiting when we showed up were still waiting and there was no place to sit. But again, Friday night so I’m pretty chill about this. The part that really got my blood boiling was the hostess announcing that there was no waiting at the bar and anyone who wanted to go there could be seated immediately, provided you were 21 of course. I checked with my girlfriend and we both agreed it was fine so we said yes. The girl took our pager back and cleared us out of the waiting list and away we went to the bar, where there were no seats to be had. Well there was one barstool that had no one in it but no place for two people to sit. And since we already turned in our pager we’d have had to go back on the bottom of the list if we wanted back on the wait line for the table. I know this is a popular place and I’ve usually had a good time when going here for a meal. But I just cannot fathom why you’d announce something that wasn’t true. It’s a pretty crummy thing to do. So we left, went to the nearest Applebee’s and were seated within minutes and ordered and got drinks and food in about 20 minutes. And they were plenty full too. I’d have rather had a Fort Worth Rib Eye from Roadhouse, but they decided to basically lie to me about bar seats so we left deeply unsatisfied. All that said, I can’t bring myself to just outright trash them. I’m going with 2 stars for the lie about bar seating, but if I’m honest I do still like this franchise and will surely visit again. Probably not the Hulen location though.

I cant speak too much for the wait staff, nor the rest of the food… but why has no one said anything about th RIBS!!! I can’t lie that and the rolls is the only reason I come to this place. Yet, it is well worth the wait and the money. I’m in love with the ribs. They truly are fall off the bone. In fact, when you pick it up by the bone, all the meet falls off. I pretty much have to eat it with a fork. They have been consistent as long as I’ve been eating them. I’m sure everyone knows about the bread and butter… mmmmmm. the beer off the tap is pretty good. Seems like the purge their lines regularly, and keep the beer nice and cold. When I come here with my friends, no one seems to complain… well maybe the wait staff. Everything seems to take forever. I’m not a fan of that but I can’t complain about much else. Oh, well… I don’t get the whole throw the peanuts on the floor thing… If you want ribs… look no further…

One of my favorite restauants. I love coming for the early dine before 6. 12 entrees for 8.99 with 2 sides. My go to is the chicken fried chicken. Large portions and enough to take home for tomorrow. I usually sit at the bar. Great service from Toby and Jackson. Friendly handsome men. Regular prices for steaks even are under $ 15 bucks at regular price. The rolls are hot, fresh and dellicious. Add a sangria margarita(on the rocks please) and you have a perfect dinner. Come get it

I stopped in for dinner very busy night. The restaurant was packed and so was the bar. I stood in the bar area waiting patiently for a stool to open. The bartender noticed me standing in came out and around from the bar and asked me what I’d like to drink and said will get your stool soon as one becomes available. I have a 12 ounce ribeye salad and green beans. All have a lot of flavor and cooked perfectly.

It’s a good thing that I have good teeth, because the ribeye steak required a lot of chewing before it could be swallowed. I only ate half of it and brought the rest of it home to the dogs. I’ll admit the flavor was good, and the sides are decent, but I have yet to get a tender steak in this joint. I’d go to Saltgrass on the other side of the highway if you’re wanting steak. This place just isn’t cutting it.

I was surprised on the food quality. I went in for a few beers at the bar and decided to have the catfish. The taters appetizer was good too. Huge crowd to get in so get there early!

If you wear wranglers & drive a pickup, this restaurant is your comfort zone. Peanuts on the table, LOTS of fried food options, BBQ sauce covered meat(of every variety) and cold beer. The bartenders are great! Attentive, friendly & talkative. Between the bread, butter & peanuts, I had a full meal of protein & carbs. Nothing special(but some folks like that) but a good, square meal. One more thing, the salads are very fresh & the waitstaff is fast with the order. Perfect!

Well it wasn’t horrible. Texas Roadhouse is similar to Logan’s only with better food. Peanuts on the floor(which I’ve never understood) and all the similar foods. The menu has lots to choose from, from steak to BBQ. Our server was friendly and quick. The rolls are warm and delicious served with cinnamon butter, making it impossible to just eat one. I had steak which was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. My wife had roasted BBQ chicken which was a bit bland and dull. The sauce was lacking spice but the chicken was moist and had that roasted flavor. For the price it’s a nice place to go, but it’s not anything exceptional. If you want a good meal and need to save money, it’s not a bad choice.
