Great bar with friendly bartenders. It gets very busy on weekends but a lot more relaxed the rest of the week. Highly rated

I use to think highly of this place and some of the bartenders. I have a somewhat complex and unique last name, so if and when you hear it you wouldn’t select jones and or other generic names. Long story short — overcharging me on my tab after a busy night by 50 dollars is just unreasonable!

Well if you are cool with rowdy college kids roaming the place having a great time then you might enjoy this place. Just overlook the kid throwing up all over the floor as he makes his way through the crowd. Just ignore the old creep at the bar, if you don’t bother it, it won’t bother you. Also overlook the loud obnoxious girl, she’s just trying to be seen by her crush. The price of the drinks and the dj will keep me coming back though!

We really enjoyed eating here. We had an awesome open face roast beef sandwich. Also had chicken and dumplings, the soup and hobo fries. It was all very good. Can’t wait to go back.

I have been here several times on either a Friday or Saturday night. It seems as if the college crowd hangs out here on Friday nights and the more mature crowds on Saturday nights. There is r a dull moment in this bar and I enjoyed my drinks and the prices are reasonable. The house dj always keeps the party going and the crowd is quite lively. The bar is a decent size with an indoor and outdoor facility. I love it here.

I’ve only been here during the day, so I really can’t comment on the terrible reviews for the nighttime staff and crowd. As a 34 year old man, I have a hunch I wouldn’t fit in here on a Saturday night(or really any bar on West 7th). However, mid day on a Saturday or Sunday? I’ve had really great experiences. First of all, I think this is a really beautiful bar both inside and out. The huge cooler that the bar is built around is a very cool design. When the weather is good they open the windows which is very cool. The patio is small, but a great spot as well. We’ve come across an unlike able bartender inside before, but we just went outside and were served by a much nicer bartender. They really go all in on the local theme, with a large selection of local craft brews and liquor. It’s a good idea. Occasionally the crowd does get obnoxious. Not a huge deal to me, but if loud college dudes are a deal breaker you’ll do best elsewhere. If I witness any racism/prejudice I’ll update my review, but from my experience this is a beautiful bar that is definitely worth getting an afternoon drink at.

Weak pours. Even when I had two Revolver Blood & Honeys, the beer was somehow watered down. It has a distinct taste and a high ABV percentage, neither of which I could detect and I hadn’t been drinking anything prior to coming to the Local. I switched over to a rum and coke, that was even weaker. Good people watching, though.

The layout and design of the bar is great — I really like it. This might be a great place to visit during the Spring with the walls pulled up, etc. However, the service was very slow(and not because it was busy) and most of the bartending staff were not all that friendly. I’m not saying the bartenders need to be hanging on your every word but at least acknowledge you have waiting customers with a smile and ‘I’ll get to you soon’ or something. Most of the time my friends and I were waiting for service 1 or 2 of the female bartenders were leaning against the bar texting on their phone(or facebooking or whatever!) Also, the door ‘guys’ or «security» have the worst attitudes. It seems like they think they are in Road House and working at the Double Deuce or something. Also, NOGUINNESS?

If you’re not white and a hipster, stay out. Went there a few times and service sucked. The last time it took me 20 minutes to get my card back, three different bartenders looked at me and served everyone else but me. Definitely never going back there.

1 star for bad management 5 star for bartender First of all I used to work in the restaurant business for more than 10 years and I am well aware of how costumer services should work, please keep in mind when I say this is what happen to us tonight: We have been at the bar for couple of hours with our friends(6 pp) drinking and spending money at a local business when the girls from the group decide to put some music using the juke box. The«manager»… that was drinking, yells at them and tells the girls not to play music and turn the juke box off and turns the TV sound back on. That’s what you call bad reputation I would love to promote local business to help them grow but when you belittle your clients, that’s not good business

I like this bar in the early evening, since they are fixing up the back patio. They don’t have food, only drinks. The waitress at the patio was nice enough to take in a stray dog. The stars are three, because if you come here at night, you meet all of the young pretentious douchebags that spill beer on you, these bouncers that pick you out and stare you down, and the people here only cluster in their groups avoiding everyone else. It’s piss-boring here at night and I will make sure to avoid this place when this crowd comes in.

Awesome spot to enjoy a beer. I love the separate patio area. I love the misters going off during hot weather. I love that they finally built a fence along the ledge around the patio. The inside is pretty big too with a few tables, arcade games and a pool table. Beer selection is really nice, featuring a lot of my favorite craft beers. My only issue is that it can be a bit pricey compared to other bars, but you pay to be on 7th St, so I get that. I always come here to meet up with people and everyone I have brought in said they love it. During the weekends, it will get crowded and parking will suck. Go on a slower night and none of that will be an issue.

I did the matrix on them! I was challenged to a dance off by two random guys and I rose to the challenge(despite the uneven numbers there)! Pulled out the big guns and«did that.» Haha! Drinks were strong enough… bartenders quick, and the crowd, unpretentious. Big outdoor patio area with another bar… all around good time. Everyone was friendly and I’d return. Popular spot on the strip there. Go, get your wiggle on.

This place has a more fancy feel to it. It is not quite my style but they have a good drink selection, one pool table and a large outdoor patio with a separate bar. I plan on going back to get a better feel for it.

If I could rate this place lower I would. They are pretentious, noninclusive, and not at all representative of the local community here in Fort Worth. If you have a flower tattoo on the back of your neck, don’t even try to walk through those doors. They will turn you away faster than you can imagine. If your tattoos don’t fall in line with their«desired» look, you are not welcome. It is pretty sad in this day and age that discrimination like this exists, and to find a business so seemingly proud of their ability to discriminate against the locals they wish to represent. Or maybe we’re just not the«right type» of local for them. Either way, when a bar starts discriminating against the actual locals here in town, they cross the line. Pass this pretentious trash bin and step on over to some of the more welcoming and diverse bars in the same area, like Lola’s, Fred’s, or even The Grotto… You’ll be greeted with a smile like an old friend, not with a boot out the door like you are a common criminal.

Do you like to give your money to bigoted people? Ladies do you enjoy being groped and harassed by drunk douchebags while the staff just laugh and say«typical fratboy behavior» ? If so by all means visit The Local! Although the real name of the bar should be The Double-Standard This bar doesn’t embrace«locals» — in fact they turn them away for having visible neck tattoos. This place is a joke and a poor representation of Fort Worth.

Do not patronize this establishment! Last night they denied entry to my brother-in-law just for the simple fact that he has tattoos. In this day and age when so many people have chosen this form of self expression I believe this to be an extremely poor business decision. I know I will never grace their threshold with my presence or their tills with my currency. In case there are questions, his tattoos would be considered PG in content. Please avoid and pass the word!

This place is horrible! In this day and age you judge somebody by their personal form of expression? Not allowing someone in because they have tattoos is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard! For one tattoos aren’t considered«dress» to fall under a dress code. They can’t be taken off and changed or discarded! If you wanted to go after something else like sagging pants, baggy clothes, wife beaters, flat billed hats, the list can go on and on, then by all means you should do that! If all you want in your establishment are polo wearing TCU frat guys, then you’re entitled to that! Good luck with your tabc license when they bring their underage friends in and start fights, roofie your female patrons and decide to drive all hammered and kill someone on the way home! Hopefully your business will close soon and fall into the sea of all the other failed ventures! Some of the best people I’ve ever met have tattoos and it’s sad you would judge someone like that! You’re never going to see a cent from me!

This is a great new spot that won’t take long to get very popular. It features Texas whiskey and Texas beer. What else could you ask for and why else would you go anywhere else! Friendly staff that doesn’t just blow you makes this an even more popular choice to come and visit. Wide open seating allows for plenty of room to move and gather. The open layout is only enhanced by multiple roll up doors exposing the inside to the out for those rare days in Texas where the weather is just gorgeous. There is an outdoor bar for when it’s a good night and to busy inside. There’s a pool table an a couple of game to kick back and relax around. Don’t be a fool make The Local your new go to spot.
