Lady at the service counter was super rude. She just wanted to sell us our overpriced and dry cupcakes and get us out of the store. Cupcakes were not good. Dry. I can make better cupcakes at home. I could make a dozen for the price of one or two of these. Just not good.

So my daughter and I were going to see little mermaid across the street from here & had gotten there about 30 mins before the doors opened. I had mis-read our tickets & read the free parking starting at 6 as the time doors opened. So we saw this shop across the street & I thought why not! It’s a cute little cupcake stop, and it had a couple tables if you are like us & needing to kill some time eating your cupcake! Prices are a little higher than I’m used to from individual cup cake places being from a surrounding ft worth city not ft worth proper; but for sure not totally outrageous particularly given their location & probably what it costs to own/lease a retail spot there. The chocolate cupcake my daughter and I shared was very good & they had a good selection of soft drinks, water bottles, Etc to pick from. They also take orders for various events so local to the area folks take note, or even a good thing to keep in mind if planning a last min birthday trip in the area that you can pick up a quick half a dozen cupcakes!

I had a fast experience here last night. The red velvet cupcake had great icing but it tasted like cornbread. The pretzel sticks were burnt so I didn’t eat it all. And my sisters ice cream birthday confetti had way too much icing. The service was great and fast but I think you could find better cupcakes in DFW

The cupcakes smelled better than they tasted and they were tough and dry the lady that waited on me said that they were voted the best but I will not be back I purchased a box of 6 and they were all different kinds so it was not just one kind

I really want to give this place 0 stars but it won’t allow me to do so. My sister owns a specialty bakery back home up north and I even asked the gentleman working if the Red Velvet was a true Red Velvet recipe and he proceeded to tell me how many rewards they won for their Red Velvet… It was so DISGUSTING… white cake mix dyed red! I recommend the chocolatier a few doors down for your sweet tooth fix! DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY

Very excellent cake, killer frosting. It was the first cupcake I tried when first visiting Texas in the summer of 2015. Came back now that I live here

We stopped here on an impromptu trip to pick up some cupcakes for a friend’s birthday party that was happening at a bar down the street. We picked up some of the day old cupcakes for the party, which included coconut, lemon, and devil’s food. For the birthday boy, we got their best seller, the salted caramel and a birthday cake. The icing was vanilla, cheesecake buttercream, and coconut. The cupcakes were a big hit at the party! All the flavors came through and were singing. Side note, I have been known in the past to eat frosting out of the can, and their frostings blew the canned stuff out of the water. The cheesecake frosting was a rich, creamy confectionary goodness. I got punched in the mouth with the flavor, and I liked it. The cake was moist, and a little on the dense side. But, the denseness didn’t detract from the flavors. A friend at the party took a lemon cupcake home and remarked the next day how good that was, even after being put back in the fridge. So, long story long, I’d recommend this place. Maybe if you’re as hesitant as I was, ask if they can save you any day old cupcakes. They were a hit.

This quaint cupcake store is located in downtown Fort Worth near the Sundance Square. They have a good variety of flavors available. Get in early on the weekends as the cupcakes go fast. I tried the Mounds of Joy cupcake which was crafted the mirror the Almond Joy candy bar. The cupcakes were not as large as some other cupcake stores so don’t go in expecting a Sprinkles sized cupcake. I will be back to try some of their other flavors.

I just don’t get it. The places has a cute décor and logo, great spot, and tantalizing sounding flavors, but the cupcakes themselves just don’t deliver. I grew up in a baking family, so maybe I’m a bit harsher than most, but wow, I just can’t recommend these cupcakes. I ordered a chocolate peanut butter cupcake, and didn’t find either of these flavors in my cupcake. I did find something artificial, cloying and unappealing though. I found my cake flavorless and my frosting dense and unappealing. I love cupcakes and the concept of just getting a sweet treat while strolling downtown. This place just misses the mark for me. When we visited, the staff member behind the counter was less than cheerful, and we didn’t even get a smile or hello. I think this could be due to the amount of foot traffic in the store, but still, I think all experiences can be improved if given with a smile. I honestly think this place has some intriguing cupcakes, I just wish the flavor/textures matched how appealing the descriptions are, as when I look at the names of the cupcakes I feel the love and creativity of the maker, but it just didn’t translate on our visit.

Delicious, moist, and flavorful cupcakes! We received great service as well. They answered all of our questions & even offered to make — put icing on — any cupcakes we wanted that were sold out! Forget the cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory and walk across the street to The Cupcakery! Worth the drive from Austin &WAY better than Hey Cupcake! Yum!

This place I awful. First of all, the man behind the counter seems as if he hates his job! Seriously, you work at a cupcakery, what’s so awful about working a register? He wasn’t helpful when I asked for suggestions and he kept rushing me. Now for the cupcakes, I got a few to try but I don’t remember exactly which ones. But it doesn’t matter because they all SUCKED! They were far from moist, and the icing was hard and overpoweringly sweet. Sure the presentation was nice, but once a bite was taken the results were disappointment. Never returning. Don’t waste your money on a $ 4 cupcake that won’t make you happy.

I was not impressed with the cupcakes, the packaging or the service. I asked the woman working what was her favorite or what was most popular and she replied with a snark that they were all good. I bought a salted caramel and a red velvet. They tasted like box cake mix(which I do like) but the price was really high. I think I paid $ 7 and change for 2 small cupcakes that tasted like they came from a box. They put them in plastic containers that are not specifically for cupcakes so they slide all over and get ruined. I won’t be buying these again. Don’t waste your time or your calories on these.

Spent $ 4 on the worst cupcake ever. I got the Royale, which tasted amazing last time I had it at the Dallas location on McKinney. Or somewhere near McKinney Rd, I don’t remember. Anyway this cupcake tasted funky. The champagne icing tasted sour and the cake of the cupcake itself tasted nothing like raspberry but just boxed vanilla cake. Horrible, just horrible. The lady behind the counter was nice enough, but she gave off the feeling that I was wasting her time when I came in. I wish I spent that $ 4 on a smoothie instead.

Stumbled across this unique bakery while wandering around in Downtown Fort Worth area. I’m not too much of a dessert and sweets person, but with the unique names and flavors offered it was hard to pass up trying at least one flavor. They were also running a promo when we stopped in, $ 1 for the mini bite sized cupcakes so why not. Tried the vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream frosting. The frosting was smooth and flavorful, but the actual cake itself was just average, light tasting and borderline dry. It wasn’t as moist as I’d want, but at least it doesn’t make you feel too horrible ingesting all those calories? Some friends tried the Tickle Me Pink flavor and thought it wasn’t anything special either. The cupcakes are attractive to look at, but this place is just a quick stop sort of place, not really a «go out of your way to come here» place.

One birthday cake with buttercream frosting. Cake was dry and lacked flavor. I don’t know what this company uses for making frosting. It is not the butter, cream, vanilla and confectioners powder that I make frosting with. It tastes like crisco! Yuck! At almost $ 4– a cupcake. I will save my money and calories.

Had the Boston Crème and German Chocolate Cake Cupcakes. It was almost $ 8 for two cupcakes though! JEEZ! But they were pretty good. Perfectly most and the icing was just the right amount. Staff was friendly and the AC was pleasant and welcoming on another usual hot Texas day. I would stop here again next time we are in downtown Ft. Worth. I do wish they had mini cupcakes so we could sample a few other flavors but that just means I have to return now :)

This is my second trip to the Cupcakery and I would like to be a fan but I really can’t. The first trip the cupcakes were pretty good I had the lemon and it was tart and moist, not knock your shoes off fantastic but good. Since the first experience wasn’t too bad I talked them up to my family when we were downtown so we got a half dozen 4 different flavors and truthfully only one was worth a third try. All the cupcakes were visually appealing Strawberry Lemonade, Coco Frauline, Lemon and Salted Caramel. The Coco Frauline tasted like boxed cake with real German Chocolate icing inside and real ganache on top. The Lemon which was good the last time had the consistency of cornbread very disappointing. The only hi-light was the Salted Caramel, it was light fluffy almost mouthwatering. That cupcake was almost worth a trip back but the other 3 killed that loving feeling for them.

I previously tried The Cupcakery in Frisco a few years ago and didn’t like it. We visited this location yesterday to experience all that Fort Worth had to offer. The Cupcakery did not disappoint. We ordered a Boston crème cupcake with a bottle of prosecco. The employee was very friendly. What a way to start off the day! Their cupcake are still just okay but the experience is what made our visit enjoyable.

Bleh! Maybe The Cupcakery was having a bad day on my recent visit but the cupcakes were far from tasty. I had the bananas foster cupcake(Who doesn’t love a good banana’s foster?) but it was so dry I could not finish it and had to guzzle a bottle of water after my attempt at consuming it. The cupcake was cinnamon(who puts cinnamon in bananas foster?), dry as Death Valley, and topped with an artificially flavored«banana» frosting. It was like biting into a clump of sawdust with sugary lard on top. And it was small. And it was $ 3.25. I will not be returning to this or any other Cupcakery ever in my life. On a positive note, the staff was nice though:-)
