My third and last dining experience here at Social house. The host aren’t necessarily«social», but you deal with them very briefly. My problem is, this third time I ordered ribs hash without hollandaise sauce. They brought the first plate with the sauce, the second plate without a sauce on the bottom of the plate and the third time with traces of the hollandaise sauce, cold beef. Clearly the meat had been transferred from each plate to the next. Food wasn’t seasoned at all, and I’m just not a happy camper. A manager did offer a second choice, but I wasn’t interested. Our waiter John was nice though, and the runner had no problem trying to get the order correct. Come at your own risk.

Great food, but the workers at social house are not very social. Apathetic House might be a better description. Come on people! Find a smile! You’ll find more joy in life and more tips in your pocket.

I’ve only been here for happy hour, but the prices are very cheap. They had lots of pizza specials, but they were just so greasy. I liked that they have very thin crusts, but the pizzas are so oily that the greasy soaks through the entire pizza. I haven’t tried the rest of their menu, but I might give their happy hour another try. My friends liked their drink menu.

The Social House is a great little bar tucked away in the space previously occupied by Brownstone, in the West 7th Cultural District of Fort Worth. They offer over one hundred beers on tap, from local favorites to hard to find craft brews. Their alcohol prices reflected upon the area they are based out of, which is on the moderately pricy side of the scale. They have a dish to satisfy every palate on their dinner menu, but I particularly enjoy their brunch menu myself. Unfortunately, brunch is only served at the Social House on Saturdays and Sundays(11:00−4:00) but it’s been outstanding every time I’ve went. My two all time favorites on the menu are the Guiness Braised Short Rib Hash«Guiness braised short rib, over easy egg, potatoes, mustard greens and Hollandaise» and the Steak Benedict«English muffin with a poached egg, 4oz filet and Hollandaise sauce served with crispy breakfast potatoes» both of which just melt in your mouth. Anything you find on the brunch menu is great though, so you won’t regret your decision. Now for the down side. The Social House can get slammed, and they are often times near or at capacity, particularly on the weekends which is the only time they serve their brunch menu. The servers are generally great, but food and refill times can occasionally be a bit of a wait. All and all, it’s all worth the wait times for the quality chow.

I went here for a few Cowboys games this season. While I was disheartened with some losses, I dined and drank like a king. Great selection of beer and friendly bar staff. Lots of drink specials throughout the week, so the prices are pretty fair. Let’s not forget the food. The food at Social House is off the chain! Lots of gourmet burger choices, and even some healthier items like the Salmon, which I love. I will definitely always keep this place in mind when I’m on 7th st in Fort Worth. Social House is a MUST !

My girlfriends and I frequent this or the uptown location almost every Sunday for brunch, but the Ft Worth location is our favorite. The service is always great(favorite servers are Adam and Roj), and the ambience is very casual. Great place to share mimosa and bellini carafes while watching the game. My friend usually changes up her order, but I always stick to the Guinness braised Short Rib Hash with a side of fresh jalapeños. I’m addicted! Also a great spot for beers! They have 100 on tap, so we joined their Beer Society. If you’re into beer as much as we are, then join! You get points for each beer and they have awesome prizes.

I really like the food here. It’s my go to spot for brunch. I’ve had the Mac and cheese, egg omelette, short rib hash, crème brûlée salad and the angry shrimp. I’ve enjoyed everything which I find very impressive considering this is a bar. The $ 1 refill mimosa’s are what drew me in but the food is what keeps bringing me back. This is definitely one of my favorite bars in Fort Worth.

I really liked this place when I went. It wasn’t busy at all but of course I went around lunch! This place sits right across from movie tavern in west 7th. It definitely gives a western bar feel but modern. I got the mango margarita it was so yummy and she added a hint of strawberry flavoring. To eat I got the crab cake sandwich and let me tell you this sandwich was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, not even kidding! So if you’re ever in west 7th definitely go check this place out, you’ll love it!

Do not order the chilaquiles. I didn’t realize it was a real thing until my phone autocorrected my misspelling. I had high hopes for this dish but there wasn’t much flavor and probably could have used some spice, maybe from jalapeños. The Stout Mary is excellently spicy, but not for the vegan since they throw in the ever popular bacon. Their Moscow mules are minty and fitted with the standard copper mug which keeps them pleasantly chilled. The brunch offers a short rib hash that you must order. Five stars of flavor The fired pickles are properly bearded with matching ranch dipping sauce

I’ve been to Social House a few times now and decided to write a review. It’s a great spot to catch a game with friends. The food is okay, nothing to brag about. I do or shall I say did like the turkey burger. The last couple of times it tasted more like a dry piece of meat(yuck). The service is not bad here but I will say it tends to get pretty crowded so you may have to hunt your server down a few times. Overall if you’re just looking for a drink and game this is your spot.

Incredible brunch? Check. Awesome happy hour? Check. These two things, paired with it’s central location on West 7th, have kept me coming back to The Social House over and over again. Brunch here is fantastic. The first thing I tried was the Chilaquiles; while it was delicious, it reminded me more of nachos rather than the traditional version of the dish I’m used to. So, the next time(and every time after), I opted for(what I think is called) the American Breakfast — your choice of bacon or sausage, grits or hashbrowns, eggs, and toast. I am a true Atlanta-born southern girl, and I am confident when I say that these grits are some of the BEST grits I’ve ever had. Most places serve grits that are«runny», but these are cheesy, warm, and the perfect fluffy consistency. I also usually swap out the toast for a biscuit because, like I said, I’m southern. Pair all that will a carafe of mimosas, and your Sunday is off to a great start! Happy hour is 4−7PM on weekdays, and includes half-off signature drinks, pizzas, and select appetizers. Yes, that’s right, HALFOFF. That puts cocktails at only $ 4.50. I feel like I don’t need to elaborate on how good this is. Probably one of the best perks of this place is the set up. It features a huge U-shaped bar, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and TVs everywhere — perfect for game day! Definitely make a point to stop by the next time you’re on 7th.

Cool place to hang out and grab a few drinks, especially in the outdoor patio area(during the summer months). They have an extensive amount of beers on tap(including stouts on nitro!!!) and they are nice about giving tasters so you can sample the beer. I tried some of the Temptress Stout on nitro, which was really good. There isn’t much street parking available in this area, but they have a giant parking garage nearby, and you can get validated so that the first 2 hours are free. However, 3 – 4 hours is only $ 6 so it’s not that bad.

So Social House has got this little known secret called the SBS Beer Club. Wow what a gem that I don’t think to many people may know about. For $ 20 bucks you can join their beer drinking club. Now this isn’t just any beer drinking club, you may be asking yourself right now: «Well what’s so special about this beer club Joseph?» Well I will gladly tell you. The goal of the beer club, get you to drink 100 beers at their establishment. You can have a max of 5 per visit and they DONOT have to be 100 different beers! If you wanted they could be all Coors Light but why would you do that with their ever revolving list of craft beers. If you go on Tuesday as a SBS member you get all beers on tap for $ 3 all day. For the initial $ 20 you get a card, a pint glass and the first beer on them. Not bad, but wait it gets better. They will email you shortly and you get a $ 20 gift. Awesome! After 10 beers you have another $ 20 credit on your account, after 25 beers you get a t-shirt, after 50 beers you get a $ 75 credit, after 75 beers you get a $ 100 credit, and at 100 beers you get a private party for 15 people. So why aren’t you people there and enrolled in the Social House loyalty program like me!!! So besides the great beer program here’s the skinny on the food. GETTHEIRISHPORKNACHOS! They will not disapoint. It is a MOUNTAIN of potato chips covered with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and cheese. MMMMMMM!!! I’m hungry just thinking about them. The pizzas are all great too. Super thin crust with some amazing flavors to them. The staff can be hit or miss but we’ve found a couple of really awesome waiters that we always try to sit in their sections. Management is super friendly and if something is amiss during your visit they gladly and quickly remedy the situation.

West seventh is a trendy area with lots of people exercising, walking their dogs, and carrying on with life. Smack dab in the middle of all this is a couple of well designed parking garages with shopping and mostly restaurants sprinkled around them. The area is attractive and inviting. I decided up on the Social House rather randomly. The front door is unmarked and I almost didn’t step in that door, but kept walking around and decided it has to be the entrance. Need to mark the front door and make it inviting to enter. The décor is modern touches to a brick and wood themed bar plus restaurant, with a small patio outside. The patio tables, almost all of them, were clearly lopsided. I mean, it was topsy turvy ville. My table was so lopsided that I wasn’t sure anything would stay on it. Never seen that before to that degree. It also had the table wobble going on in a big way, it was obvious I wasn’t going to be able to use the table. No one addressed the obvious as I sat there rocking the table impressively back and forth. The waiter was dressed in a normal civilian flannel shirt and blue jeans, almost wondered why this guy was talking to me. No badge, no way to know he worked there. None of the staff have any distinction to them. Not a bad touch, different, but rather odd to me. They gave me 3 menus. The food items range from pizza to a few choices that were original. I was there at 5pm on a Monday and the water told me about happy hour, where a few menu items are ½ price. I ordered a cup of coffee, water, and the irish nachos for ½ price for an appetizer. My coffee and water arrived. Immediately my coffee spilled out across the table from the lean and the wobble. The waiter began to walk away, and I asked if he could do something with the table. He fixed the wobble, but there was obviously nothing that could be done for the lean. I put my coffee cup on a napkin and kept going. The coffee was really old, like I mean, it had that old burnt coffee smell and taste going on. Took my waiter a long time to get back. Asked for fresh coffee. My waiter was different. He came across as a 23 year old college student who was burned out from partying too much the night before. No smiles, looked tired, rather beat up, and didn’t seem engaged in the process. The nachos were good, original, and all around interesting. I pulled out my climbing gear, strapped up, and started to ascend this rather impressive mound of food. The homemade potato chips remained crispy throughout, something I found impressive. The meat was the real deal, pulled pork. Even had some fat in it, globs of fat. Although I don’t care to eat the fat, it told me this is home cooking. The spices were good. My new cup of coffee arrived about 15 minutes later. I then ordered a pizza at ½ half off for happy hour. The coffee was surprisingly light colored. It turned out to be rather weak, which is unusual these days. I drank it anyways. I ordered a veggie hummus pizza. It looked beautiful. I had it packed to go as the appetizer was so filling. I had to work that night anyways, might as well take it for lunch. It was tasty, the crust super thin(which isn’t my favorite), but the crust was well done and crunchy, surprisingly good. The overall flavor of the pizza was decent. Not sure I order it again, but it was good. I ordered the bananas foster for dessert. My waiter seemed slow, a bit disengaged, and not enthusiastic to be there at all. I kept smiling and being nice, never know when they’re having a bad day or maybe personal tragedy struck. He was basically gone after this except to bring the check. It took a while for the dessert to arrive. Two fellas brought it I haven’t seen before. Some other fella dressed in a flannel shirt and jeans started refilling my water and coffee, which I thought was nice as they both sat there empty. When they delivered the bananas foster, the small cast iron skillet had a fairly thin but rich brown sugar soupy mixture, which was poured over my scoops of ice cream. The flavor was good, the syrup rich and sugary but surprisingly thin, the ice cream was cold, but not that strong flavored. I ate about ½ of the bananas foster, and stopped. I was full and it wasn’t worth gorging over. I’m disappointed overall in my visit. The wait staff situation was unacceptable overall. I try to be compassionate and understanding. If it had not been for good teamwork of others, I would have mostly sat there. The coffee was unacceptable, it smelled and tasted burned. The table not being addressed when obviously a problem, is unacceptable. The bananas foster was ok, but not anything I would order again. Other than location and the nachos, found no reason I would want to return. The reason they get as high a score as they do is for the good fun appetizer.

I’ve been to Social House several times for brunch and once or twice at night. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had there! I’ve gotten the All American, the breakfast tacos, and have tried the chilaquiles(which is enormous by the way). I really like the breakfast potatoes they serve on the side. The mimosa situation is pretty great, and to be honest, half the reason I go. You can get bottomless mimosas or belinis for ~$ 10 – 12. The carafes they serve contain one bottle of champagne each, I’ve seem them pour it. That said, a friend and I once ordered one of each drink and just shared the two until they were gone… good thing I live on 7th! Woo! The times I’ve been at night were random, once was when it first opened so it was super crowded, and once while we were out on the town. I’d respectfully stick to brunch.

Choose this venue at the last minute(over Waters) for a Saturday night date night dinner, and left with mixed feelings. However, most of the feelings were positive. Regarding the location itself, you can’t get better than this one. Located pretty much right in the middle of all the West 7th action, The Social House is across the street from a huge movie theater, as well as the luxurious Waters and AF+ B(American Food and Beverage) restaurants. Further, its roughly 100 meters from the El Paseo parking garage, where you will enjoy 2 hours of free parking. If you choose to sit on the patio on any given night, you’ll see quite a bit of attractions: Fort Worth’s finest ladies, magic shows, and the town drunks parading around Crockett Street at all hours. Who needs the television when you can witness this? Highly recommended to sit on the patio, since the inside is unbelievably loud AF. Seriously, it sounded like an amped up night club inside. I noticed that there is even a DJ tucked away within the venue’s interior that gets the music going on a Saturday night at a certain hour. Now, the food and beverages. Started the night off with a glass of wine for her, and a couple of rich IPAs called Deep Ellum for me. Can’t go wrong with either, since we were satisfied with our drink choices. The appetizer consisted of fried mac & cheese with sausage, which I thought was pretty good with the portion size in order for two people to share. In addition, it was quite tasty, and not filling. From here, the food choices went slightly downhill. Just plain underwhelming in a way. The shrimp & grits were presented well, yet tasted too salty, even for shrimp. The grits were more on the lesser side of portion size. The server made up for it by bringing out three small bread pieces, charging an additional $ 2.00(she later took this off). For me, the original pizza of mushrooms, onions, pepperoni and avocado(my request, at $ 2.00) looked great, yet tasted a bit rubbery. In fact, I wound up folding my pizza slices like a taco due to the thin crust not being crisp at all. Even though the two of us were hungry and continued to enjoy the evening, I didn’t make a big deal out of the entrees, even though they could’ve tasted better. Even though the pizza is a thin crust(should taste as if eating a cracker), it was really, really rubbery. The server completely saved the dinner experience from becoming a slight disappointment by maintaining an unbelievably upbeat attitude, in addition to selling The Social House rewards program($ 20). The concept alone seemed to be really good, in that for every beer I purchase, I would obtain points toward prizes and novelties. All I had to do was sign up for the program for $ 20. Further, she comped the avocado slices as well as bread that she previously charged, unbeknownst to myself upon receiving the final bill of $ 68 before tip. Based on her actions and great attitude, there was no doubt in my mind that she would have had the entrees re-done if I had requested. Overall, I would return to this location and more than likely dine on the patio once again, weather permitting. Great location, festive ambiance, good customer service, phenomenal beer and wine, and decent food.

Came in with my boyfriend and friends for Sunday brunch. We got there right at 11 and were seating immediately. We got there right before the midday brunch boom! The place got packed! We had two servers wait on us and the did a dynamite job! So for $ 10 you can get a carafe of Mimosa, Poinsettia, or peach Bellini and $ 1 refills after that. Supposedly(and I believe it) they is a whole bottle of champagne in each carafe. I ordered the steak Benedict with the grits instead of the potatoes. For $ 13 you get only one English muffin and a small steak. Fortunately for me it was plenty of food. And the steak was cooked perfectly medium. The grit were fantastic! I would definitely order it again! The pace of our meal was perfect! Never felt rushed or like we were taking up a valuable table! And people around us came and went bf we were finished.

Just had brunch here today after a morning of kayaking on the trinity so I worked up a good appetite. I liked the unlimited mimosas for $ 9 and any pitcher after the first one is only $ 1. We had the crab cakes as appetizers which was good, not the best and I probably wouldn’t order them again. I had the steak Benedict and I was so DISAPPOINTED!!! Steak was good at the right temperature but it lacked flavor, the hash that came with it was extra crispy which I love but my poached egg… WTF where was the yolk? All I got was whites I was so excited to break in to the egg with some good ol runny yolk making a river thru the hashes but when I ran my knife thru the egg it was nothing no sign of yolk anywhere! There was also no hollandaise sauce either. I would probably never order this agin. The hubs got the southern chilaquiles and he was just okay with it he said there was way too many tortilla chips to his liking and it was suppose to have a sunny side up egg but that came with a over cooked egg. So that was disappointing as well Over all I probably won’t come here for the food maybe for the drink specials but that’s it
