Toppers Pizza

Ordered 2 pizzas and dessert on a Sunday evening. Estimated delivery time was at 5:51pm. After them calling once to tell me they were out of a topping and me calling 2 times after that to check on when we would get our food, each speaking to a separate employee each time, and getting totally different excuses… we got our cold, curled up, and dry pizza two hours later with no apologies, and no discounts. I called and asked to speak to a manager and they said that there was no manager there at the time. Poor service, terrible food. I won’t be ordering from them again.

What the hell happened, I remember this place being somewhat decent but now it’s nothing short of a bad joke. There isn’t a single redeemable quality in my last toppers experience. If you like awful pizza and ridiculous delivery times at an outrageous price, this place nails it. This is like day ruining long times and a spoiled cold mess end result.

TL;DR: 420 & drunk food here. Any other expectations will disappoint.
Ordered online. 45 minute wait promised on Valentine’s Day. Arrived 1 hour 20 minutes later. Pizza and ranch were room temperature; pizza was as if it’d been left out on the counter over night. Really tough, pretty stale.
Last time I ordered, the wait again was promised @ 45 minutes. Took roughly 2 hours, 15 minutes. Not a holiday. Pizza arrived puddled in grease and cold. Driver said it had been sitting on the counter «a while.»
This place has great drunk food. They’re open late, deliver to bars, and grant sustenance when you need it most.
If you actually want good pizza, however, don’t bother.
Only order if you need food desperately.

I LOVE their topper sticks and their house pizza flavors are really unique.
Unfortunately this location has ZERO consistency in what you can expect to get and whether they will deliver to you or not is a crap shoot. When you talk about franchises consistency in food and experience is paramount and this location is great when they get it right but when the don’t it really does the brand a disservice.
In my past experience when my order. food was not up to par they have been good at correcting it on a complimentary future order. That definitely shows they appreciate the business.

Last time I ordered, it took over two hours to deliver (after calling twice to see where food was). Gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to order for pick-​up this time. Went to pick up the food 40 minutes after ordering and they hadn’t started making the pizza. Their reasoning was «a customer name in.» Will never order again.

It took over an hour and 45 minutes for my pizza! And I live less than 5 minutes. No apology, no offer to comp, nothing. I had to call and ask where the pizza was over an hour into ordering… the kid claimed the delivery guy was «leaving right now». Which was obviously a lie. He called on the way and made me stay on the phone for turn by turn directions despite giving my exact address. I don’t really even remember if it tasted good it was such an affair.

Terrible terrible pizza.
Its possibly the worst delivery/​fast food pizza I’ve ever had. I think they use cheddar for their pizza. CHEDDAR!!!
I’ve had it drunk and it’s semi-​decent then, but I still think it’s not worth it. If you really have the munchies, walk across the street and get a burrito at Salsa Limon

Ordered the pizza and breadsticks special, Pizza ended up being made like the breadsticks with NO SAUCE, Not good by any means ended up tossing, call back to Toppers and they did apologize and said they would credit me another pizza since i did not want to drive back 10 miles for me. Week later called to order a pizza with my CREDIT and was told there was none, Sent email to the headquarters and never got a response, So don’t know what the pizza really tastes like for sure, and most likely never will, hard to do business with a company that obviously does“t care

Staff was very friendly. It was a late night pizza run and pretty much the only place open. The pizza reminded me of Chuck E Cheese’s pizza. The crust was crispy but raw and doughy towards the center (gross). I’d probably never go back.

Came to this place based on the recommendation of a friend. Ordered the 9″ thin crust pepperoni pizza. Pizza had a very good flavor. I love the cracker thin crust, very crunchy and delicious. The sauce and pepperoni was fresh. It’s a little pricey ($ 8.79) for the small pizza I ordered. I could of ordered a whole large carry out pizza at Papa Johns for that price. So if you want to try this place be prepared to pay a little more compared to other pizza places. Again the pizza is good but the prices are not too good otherwise I would have rated it four stars.

Good stuff. Since I have been ordering they are always on time with great hot pizza pie!

Over priced and lackluster. I’m sure they only stay in business because of the rich, drunk TCU kids in the apartments above.

Yikes, well I did order from Toppers around 9:54pm. Read the e-​mail receipt (thank goodness I intended to fork over cash in person) and was supposed to receive my pizza at 10:24pm. Alright, I appreciate an estimated time of arrival. Clock strikes 10:24 and nothing happens. It’s cool, I muse, it’s usually NOT always on time… granted I literally live right across from Toppers… but hey I understand.
10:54 — No call, nada. I think to myself, maybe they were short staffed or something. I don’t call them in case if they are actually short-​staffed*
11:24 — Now it’s an hour past the estimated time of arrival, but I can’t help but justify them by telling myself «Ah probably short-staffed…I mean… really short-​staffed.»
Well instead of giving you a play-​by-​play as time passed, eventually I never end up receiving the pizza. It’s open until 3am, I would have at least appreciated some cold pizza so I could heat it up for dinner and possibly breakfast, but no, there was no pizza at my door! But man, if you can’t deliver it, or if something’s hindering you until the point I never receive my order, then at least have the courtesy to call me up and tell me. I know some don’t appreciate honesty, but I sure do!
And I was up until 3am! /​facepalm

The only reason I am giving it two stars is because the food was good. Otherwise the lady who has the lip piercings and dark hair was not polite and just didn’t care. I did not get my ranch I ordered and I had to ask her for the silverware for my boneless wings. Seeing as all I ordered was wings and a soda I did not feel it was too much to ask for a smile and politeness with actually getting my food ready to go. A little thought lady.

This is not a high end pizza shack to be sure. But you knew that. No, if you’re a regular client of this particular toppers, chances are you are a college student and you’re drunk. There are plenty of other places to get a slice of the proverbial pie close to Toppers so why have you come to this restaurant? The simple answer is you didn’t…you probably ordered delivery, which is really what toppers does, and you probably ordered it because you’re drunk remember? No? That’s okay.
If you actually take the time to visit their physical address you will find there is minimal indoor seating, the music is WAY to loud, and everything smells of old grease. Fantastic! you think, what the hell is any good here? well let me tell you, their menu is confusing but just to break it down simply I’ll say this…
Toppers Pizza = Pizza Hut
Toppers bread sticks/​wings = Domino’s
Toppers Hot sandwiches = Scalding hot poison
So if you order from toppers just remember that you will regret your decision to order the sandwich and everything else on their menu is basically an amalgamation of the good parts of the Domino’s and Pizza Hut menus, for better or worse.
I will end this review by saying «everything tastes better when you’re drunk» and Toppers is no exception. In fact that’s probably why I didn’t like it, but i’m not the one drunk dialing them for a large pepperoni pizza.

Three words… I’ve had better. Definitely drunk college pizza! Not worth the money. Reminded me of Channelos from Hampton Roads… Ewww!!!

Normal Wednesday night. I work overnight so I ordered a pizza (thin and crispy, with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple, extra cheese and extra sauce… large) and a 2 liter of soda. Was around $ 25 including the $ 2.50 delivery fee. Order at 1:20am…website said arrival at 2:00am. At 2:17 I called, w as told they were short staffed so delivery was about an hour and a half. Finally got the ‘za at 3:35am. Tag on the box has a time of 2:44am. Not sure if that’s when it was made or when it was done; however either way, it sat or rode around the metroplex for another hour or so,
Thin and crispy was thin, chewy and tough. We had to nuke it to make it edible. The extra sauce was non-​existent so I guess it soaked into the crust.
Probably the worst pizza I’ve had in a lifetime and certainly not worth the $ 25 it took to. Get it, plus the $ 5tip. Wa sent the drivers fault but he didn’t even offer plates, cheese or peppers alike they usually doffs. d
Overall, aid he a offer-​off with this place as I have had it before and it was fine. Shape up toppers or you will lose everyone except the intoxicated children at the college which likely does nothing for your bottom line.
