We came here with some day old bread that we got from Jimmy John’s(they sell it to you at a discount) and had a great time. First off, the parking is so easy and free. The lot is located directly across the street and there is a portable toilet there if you need it. My daughter had a great time even though the ducks were not as engaging as I imagine they could have been. We started at the dock where we threw some huge chunks of bread out there with no takers. After that, we slowly circles the area clockwise, going over a small ridge to the other side where there were some birds and geese that were more interested. There is an area behind a fence where many of the animals hang out and they were the most receptive. This is good way to relax and kill some time, away from the stresses of everyday life.

Love the duck pond I’ve been going here since I was very young. My bf and I have made it a tradition to feed the ducks every year on our anniversary. We sometimes go with friends and have box races going down the hill. It’s another tradition my cousin and I have been doing since we were little girls. It’s a very nice place to have picnics just make sure the ducks don’t try to steal your food!

I’m pretty sure this is my favorite place ever! For some reason I really like ducks. I have always wanted a pet duck and there are tons of them here. I wonder how they get all of them to stay in this little spot. There are so many different kinds. There are even big scary geese monsters. I would suggest being careful around those guys. They will nip at your fingers and feet if you let them. Nothing serious they just want your food so don’t forget to bring something for them. I would definitely recommend the pond for a date or to bring the family.

Ducks. Ducks. Geese! They’re all here, but without bread, we’re transparent to all of them. We had to settle for observing them in their naturally unnatural habitat. Its a nice, fresh environment with a walking trail around it. Its fun to watch their carefree habits, and is twice as enjoyable on a gorgeous 75 degree day in January. Definitely worth the check out and a great place for your kids. But thrice as enjoyable without the kids…

Pick a nice day and walk around. The quack quacks are cute as could be. Just wish the people with children would actually be involved. It was quite a shock to watch kids get on other sides of the ropes and almost fall in. Also this big huge dude was chain smoking all over his 5 – 7 year old kids. Sad Sad. Park around the right side when you pull in… plenty of spots. Then you do not have to cross in front of the speeding nut jobs going in and out of the parking lot. Clean park… minus the duck… ummmm stuff? We watched another family use cardboard and slide down the hill… hilarious! The Pillar Art under the freeway is a delight. No Gangsta stuff… all inspirational art from kids. Very well done!

There’s a separate link for Trinity Park already on Unilocal, but I feel like a separate page for the Duck Pond is necessary, otherwise you might never know this sweet little spot exists! In the words of my boyfriend«Well, Damn… this is CUTE!». You can easily access the duck pond off of W. 7th St and Stayton St., and there’s plenty of parking available in a couple different lots around the area. The Duck Pond is a huge body of water, filled with both ducks and geese(which make the most obnoxious noises!!!) and ample water-side benches to relax after a long walk or admire the scenery. As opposed to Trinity Trails, which you can access from the Pond, there is plenty of shading, which almost makes the Fort Worth summer bearable(but not quite… after 15 minutes we succumbed to our need for AC). I noticed a lot of young families feeding the ducks(bring your own bread), and young couples enjoying a romantic and leisurely outing. In addition, there’s a few picnic tables around, making this a perfect afternoon spot(but probably more-so in the fall or spring… it’s just so HOT!).
