You will be amazed at this café! First time experience and we totally enjoyed everything ordered. Had the shrimp and grits casserole, sweet potatoes, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. OMG… everything was amazing. Can’t wait to go back. Not a local place for us but will make the drive because the food is that awesome! Thanks to Bradford and your crew this past Saturday morning for making our first experience of Vickery Café a great one! RD

I’ve eaten breakfast here a couple of times, and it was good. This time I went in for the CFS. Not a fan. They use sirlion and the meat was tender. However, they way over-do the breading and it comes out as mostly crust. This is not a Texas CFS. Not sure what it is. It tasted fine but when finished my plate was still ½ covered in uneaten crust. The waitresses are nice but the one I had didn’t seem too bright or attentive. She screwed up my order and never checked on me. Someone else refilled my water glass. Parking was scarce though once inside the place was practically empty. At 12:30! Plenty of people at the washateria just a couple of doors down. You can’t beat the food or the service at Montgomery Street Café. Their CFS not bad for the lower price. Mary’s in Strawn still the best CFS in Texas.

Sorry food hard to ball up bacon and pancakes; these folks managed to pull it off for me twice. 2nd attempt to give them a try was on April 152016(easy date to remember). Epic fails on both tries.

I have been here many times and I always get great service. Never have to wait to be seated, food comes out pretty fast and it’s always delicious. I love their pancakes and omelets and fresh squeezed orange juice. Today was the first time I ever had terrible service. Our food took a long time to come out and they got the whole order wrong at my table and they brought it out cold. If this had been my first time at Vickery Café I probably would not be returning. But because I know it’s not like them I will be returning in hopes of getting that great services we are always given. I still recommend this place! It’s soooooo much better than ol’ south pancake house.

Everything is on point. Very good and a caring staff. No need to list all. Breakfasts are over the top! I’ve had many. There is a wide varity from seniors to pretty special features. They seem to excell on Eggs Benedict off the regular menu. I have yet to get over to the burgers and meal side of the menu but it has to be as well prepared. One improvement would be to serve blackberry jelly! For me and Fort Worth’s two favorite cafes do!

This place is pretty dope. The chicken fried steak is one of the best around, I’d say it’s even better than Fred’s. Breakfast is legit but going in on the weekends is kinda tough, crowded and longer waits for food.

I liked the looks of the place, only one parking space left right near the front door. Crowded, but found a table by the window. The waitresses all serve all the tables and shout out at any time. It is a fun place to be. Anyone I’ve met that has been there has enjoyed it. The menu is inviting and everything is excellent. We will go back. Eggs Benedict looks good for next time.

Super charming place where the locals go to eat! I had the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend had the Cajun scramble, both were good but his won! We also split a chocolate chip waffle which was very tasty, the best part was it was Texas shaped! The staff were very friendly and accommodating! We will be back!

Best biscuits and gravy I have had in years. Come here for a great, American breakfast with many Cajon selections as well. Perfect. Jeri was awesome. Thank you.

Awesome spot for your home style brunching needs! We came here on an early Saturday afternoon to get our breakfast fix and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of their home fries and Mike ordered their Stockyards Omelet with a side of hash browns. I’m a big fan of their home fries — nothing better than potatoes fried with onions and bell peppers! Yum! Mike’s omelet was extra meaty and delicious! Even though this place is busy — everyone was attentive and friendly the whole time we were there. Definitely will make it back for more!

I stopped in here with my family after finding it on Unilocal.Coming to Texas from the northeast, one of the things that I miss is the diner experience. In NY and NJ there are diners everywhere and they rock for breakfast. Until Vickery café the search had been a difficult one. They offer a varied menu and all of our entrees were excellent! They also offer fresh squeezed orange juice which is so darn good! Seriously, give them a try.

I would rather eat out for breakfast than any other meal. My hubby and I look for the places where locals eat. Vickery’s was our choice this weekend when I was visiting DFW. I was so pleased! I am an eggs and bacon girl. I appreciate that some folks want a fancy Benedict but that just isn’t me. What is my weakness is pie! I shared, reluctantly, a piece of coconut cream pie with hubby. It could have been made from a recipe my mom would have used. Pie crust made and touched by human hands, the richest coconut cream filling I have had in a long time, and whipped cream that was steps above any whipped cream I have had in recent memory. We ate at the counter and had a view of a wonderful, friendly crew. I will definitely come again.

Consistently good standard diner fare meets friendly service and delicious specials is the word at Vickery Café. It has dive-like qualities, and the food is brunch worthy any day. Eggs benedict is classic, with perfectly poached eggs and crispy home fries that leave you full and satisfied, but you’ll probably want to save room for buttery pancakes with warm syrup and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Specials vary, but are consistently good. Tres leches and fried chicken benedict top the specials list, and leave you wondering why you, too, can’t have your dessert for breakfast. Service is always friendly, and wait staff is extremely accommodating. Wait times can be long on Saturday and Sunday brunch hours, but it’s worth it for a delicious breakfast that feels like eating at home. Good coffee, strong and readily refilled. We’ve enjoyed every meal here!

A real Texas Treat with a Cajun flair. I had the Cajun breakfast with Andouille sausage and corn cakes. It was terrific and a Great change of pace from the standard Denny’s fare, but you can get that too. No need to bring an attitude, The waitresses will treat you like they’ve known you your whole life. I’ll have to check the place out for Dinner or Supper as the pies look great in the refrigerated case. I always save the last bite for the best thing on the plate. Could not make a decision so I mixed them together for the last fork… check it out… These cooked groceries are good and the service is even better.

Great service and good food! I ordered the corned beef hash and it had great flavor overall(a little salty for me but it is brined). My husband ordered the Monte Cristo– it came out with the wrong cheese but they quickly replaced it, with a smile and gave us a 25% discount. Lastly, my husband ordered a single chocolate chip pancake and loved it! Our waitress Tara is super sweet, informative and quick to check on us.

I love having breakfast here staff is very friendly and food is tasty. But beware because everyone else loves this place too so there’s always a wait on weekend mornings. I’ve tried several different breakfast items and I liked every single one of them. There OJ is fantastic and my child loves their pancakes. I will continue to frequent this establishment.

I love Vickery Café! It’s a local diner that serves(extremely) reasonable priced food. I usually stick to the usual eggs and sausage, and their biscuits are wonderful. It can get a little crowded, especially on a Saturday or Sunday morning but the servers are all accommodating about getting you a seat quickly.

Local, non-chain diner/café style place. The food was good, but nothing really wowed me. Was anything«bad?» No, not at all. But, my dad and I agreed that Vickery Café is kind of middle of the road vs. other places we’ve tried for breakfast in the past couple of months. Would I go back? Yeah, if someone else wanted to eat there. I doubt I’d go back on my own, though. OHYEAH! I read raves about the OJ. My dad had some. It looked very weak and he said it tasted very weak, too. Also, a VERY small glass(especially for the price).

Great Eggs Benedict! First time coming, I got the Classic Eggs Benedict($ 8.79 + tax) with a side of hashbrowns. I’m generally a guy that doesn’t like to pay money for breakfast food, but this was definitely worth it. The good: Atmosphere is amazing. Almost every customer here seemed to be having an amazing time. The staff was extremely friendly as well. It had that classic diner vibe. Food was great, no complaints here. Egg was cooked perfected and the hollandaise sauce have plenty of flavor without being too salty. They have their homemade hot sauce that is amazing. You should definitely try it — not too spicy. The bad: I only have minor complaints about parking, but even that wasn’t too bad. Also, it’s a little pricey for other stuff. But if you are the type to really enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant, then it’ll be worth it. Definitely coming again to try the rest of the menu.

My body needs fuel! Okay I have to get all this good food in before I get back on my health kick. No worries my reviews will based on my «cheat days». Rolling through beautiful Fort Worth and decided to check out this dive Vickery Café. Walked in and immediately felt like I was at grandma’s house for breakfast. I was greeted by the sweetest lady who made me feel loved… lol. I know she doesn’t know me but she sure as heck made me feel like she did. The hot coffee kept coming, the food came out quick and the service was exceptional. I swear you feel like family here. I had the pecan pancakes with eggs/bacon. Good breakfast spot that I feel you should try. I

I have mixed feelings about writing this review. Over the last couple of years I’ve been spreading the news about this breakfast gem and I’m afraid that I’ve over-shared. Breakfast late on a weekend morning now requires at least a short wait. What have I done! I shouldn’t say more! But, wait I will. For once inside I know I’ll be greeted by some of the friendliest waitstaff in Fort Worth and the super friendly(and talented) proprietor, Curtis. I know I can order what is, in my opinion, the best chicken fried steak in Texas – for breakfast or lunch. I know the OJ will be sweetly fresh-squeezed and the coffee will be fresh. I know I’ll be tempted by the consistently amazing breakfast specials(Peach cobbler pancakes, really???), and I know that I’ll walk out happy and full. Seriously. Go to Vickery Blvd Café; just give me a hi-five while we wait in line.

Oh my goodness, why have I waiited SO long to try Vickery Café out? This morning, I had some time for breakfast and had Eggs Benedict on my mind. I had heard that the restaurant served a «mean» Eggs Benedict so I headed over there from the hospital district. I was greeted immediately with a «Hi Sweetie, sit anywhere you’d like.» Kasi brought me a menu and took my drink order. After looking over the incredible breakkfast seleciton, I didn’t waver, I stuck with Eggs Benedict. After a short wait while I was enjoying a steaming cup of coffee, my breakfast platter arrived. Oh my goodness, I dove in and I was in Eggs Benedict heaven. Many times restaurants over cook the poached eggs. To cook a proper poached eggs takes lots of practice and Vickery Café has nailed the process. The hollandaise sauce was the perfect consistency and tartness. The shredded hashbrowns were crisp just like I like them. This was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to come back and bring my wife for brunch after church. Service by the waitresses is very«homey» and sweet. I love to hear all the banter between them. It’s like they have a coompetition going who’s going to get which customer. They make you feel so welcome and my coffee cup was never empty.

Parking — there’s a 20 car parking lot but during peak hours, that’s not enough. So you’ll have to park in the streets. Wait time — Came here on a Sunday for 2 people at 11:30 and they said it was a 20 min wait, but it was more like 5 min. If you really want to get food in your belly fast, then I’d recommend asking to be seated at the bar if it’s open. Food — my boyfriend eats pig AND eats like a pig so finding an entrée that fills him up is hard to do. But the breakfast quesadilla surprisingly filled him up! It was delicious and unlike any other quesadilla I’ve had. Instead of a white tortilla, they used an orange tortilla, which added some extra flavor to the dish. The sausage also added the right amount of needed kick to the plate. I went healthy and ordered the egg white omelette, which was pretty normal. But then I went unhealthy and also ordered the chocolate chip Belgian waffle. The waffle was definitely overpriced, but it was one of the fluffiest waffles I’ve eaten so that was yummy. They need to add more chocolate chips though — I think I only found 8, and that was one big waffle so the waffle to chocolate ratio was super off. The fresh squeezed orange juice was SUPER sweet — one of the best FSOJ I have had. We’ll definitely be back though to eat the breakfast quesadilla again and try those huge chocolate chip pancakes!(Took off a star because there were a couple of flys bothering us while we were trying to eat)

Best waffle I’ve ever eaten! Do yourself a favor and get some chocolate chips in there. I got the last glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was very tasty. Everything else was good — generous portions and pretty good service. My friends and I had a nice Fat Tuesday brunch here. Mostly because we all got waffles. Did I mention the waffles are perfect?

Everything about this place is so cute. I love little diners like this and the people are so friendly. The fresh squeezed orange juice is the best. They have the machine that makes it right in front of you to see which I think is pretty cool. I got the Breakfast Monte Christo which is a very good choice and filling. I believe that jam is homemade because I’ve never had anything like it anywhere else. Theres not a big area for parking I got lucky as a spot opened up as soon as I got there. Big thank u to the big white truck that was leaving the spot right by the front door for me. OJ is a bit on the pricey side but that’s ok because it was so worth it. I’ll definitely be back.

If you’re looking for good comfort food for breakfast, Vickery Blvd Café is the way to go. It’s a cute diner with spiffy, good service. I got the Chicken Fried Steak w/two eggs over easy, hash browns & a biscuit. I opted for the gravy on the side bc I rather not drench my food in any sauce unless it’s spaghetti. The steak was good, seasoned very well but not up my alley. It was too battered and too heavy for my first meal. If it were lunch, I’d probably finish the whole dish. Hash browns & my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly!!! The boyfriend got a stack of blueberry pancakes, two eggs over easy with potatoes & toast. Even with a prior tummy ache, he managed to finish both plates. The bread was toasted and buttered deliciously. I even had to steal a slice to dip with my yoke. The waitress, Jeri, was such a sweet woman. Very nice and quick to serve. She was even nice enough to ask us if we wanted some more coffee to-go. She poured a fresh pot into foam cups for us to take with. An act like this is unusual for a Philly gal. Most servers give you an attitude if you simply ask for a cup to pour your leftover coffee in. All in all, I enjoyed this place very much. Good comfort food & great device! Total Bill: $ 27.98
