Well worth the visit. Got to see THE last B29 flying anywhere in the world. History right in front of you. Many exhibits as well from WWII that really added the human element to it all. The volunteers were very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

wow! awesome little museum, the folks who run this place are very friendly and knowledgeable. admission is $ 8 for adults and kids $ 3, this museum houses lots of ww2 history. Texas pilots kicked butt in ww2 and Vietnam! i have a new found appreciation for our nation’s veterans

Oh yeah! This is a great museum! It doesn’t have 4 hangars like Cavanaugh, but they have a great variety of planes including a massive B-17 Flying Fortress that’s maintained in flying condition. You can walk right up and touch the planes. One of my favorite planes is the B-25 bomber from World War II. You can step into the plane’s bomb bay. In there you’ll see dozens of signatures from vets who flew or worked on the plane. It’s a pretty moving little tribute. The staff is extremely friendly and many are veterans who are full of awesome stories. The small museum is also really neat. They have models of almost every plane flown in world war II by the Allies, Japanese, and Nazis. Even models of some of the bizarre experimental planes they developed. I definitely recommend making the trip out to Ft. Worth to experience a lot of really cool history that’s being preserved by hard working volunteers.
