my bf and I love this place. this is our to-go place when we are lazy to cook. the ramen is so good and it can be paired with chicken instead of pork. I had sushi couple times there and it never seem to disappoints me. place is filled with friendly staff, I just love it!

Had date night here a few weeks ago. Wasn’t happy with the seating options. I didn’t feel like we could even talk with how close the other guests were sitting… it’s cozy for sure… BUT the food was AMAZING! We split the pork buns and they were sooooo good! I had the Ramen and can’t wait to go back and have it again. My BF had a few sushi rolls and said he will never go back to MK’s again. We will definitely request a 4top table though next time so we can have a conversation with the great food!

Let me just say I originally ventured here to eat ramen. I saw the menu and I was blown away by the selection they had! I had their original tonkatsu ramen. Soo creamy and it had a well balanced spice. That seasoned soft boiled egg was perfect not what you’d expect right next door to a nail salon. Don’t ever let looks fool you! We also order porkbelly bbq on a fluffy white bao bun. Amazing! If this is offered in an entrée sized I’d get it. Heck I’d order three servings of the appetizer. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s in the area. I think I may add this into my restaurant rotations. That right there says a lot.

Very good and fresh sushi rolls! The menu is huge so there’s a little bit of everything for everyone! I had the Venus Roll and the California roll! Both great flavor and large portions! Pretty good price!

Wild Sushi is a place I have been meaning to try based off another Unilocaler’s frequent check-ins. And I have been trying to find a good ramen place west of Dallas for quite some time. Wild Sushi is a small sushi and ramen restaurant tucked into a shopping center off Western Center. We started with the sashimi sampler and egg rolls. The sashimi was ok, not the best cuts of fish I have had. Skip the egg roll. It was filled with entirely too much cabbage(no-no IMO) and too large. Certainly not traditional. But the ramen is where it is at! I was pleasantly surprised after being a bit worried from our appetizers. The ramen noddles were perfectly done. The broth was that perfect creamy ramen broth. I ordered mine with pork belly. It was not pork belly, a much leaner cut of pork, which I liked better. My husband ordered his with chicken. Chicken seemed odd in the ramen in my opinion. Wild Sushi is a great option on the Fort Worth side if you are craving some ramen.

I had to change my review because the ramen disappointed me just a little bit. It was a tad bit salty, and the garlic was over powering. I’ll still come here. I love this place! You can even get half sushi rolls. Favorite place of all time!

This Sushi Reaturant has been here for quite a while but I finally gave it a try. It is defiantly a «do over». I enjoyed the atmosphere. I came about 3pm. The Resturant had plenty of light and you can sit at the bar or at a table. Server was spot on, she cleared the empty plates after as soon as I took my last bite. The Sushi Chef served my dish but the manager(or owner) was there and immediately said he forgot some things and took my dish back and corrected it, showing the chef what he missed. I am glad he noticed and took action. Even if I would not have known. But I was thrilled that he cared that much. My lunch was supper and I can see myself coming here more often.

I’ve been going here for awhile now, at least 2 years before they changed to ramen and sushi. I’ve only tried their sushi and I love it. Their Stardust and Firecracker rolls are the best, but if you like spicy. Their seaweed salad is good. You can never go wrong with that. Also, I tried the baby octopus salad which was a bit different but not bad. I would order it again. Other rolls I recommend would be Tornado, Tricolor, Red Rock, Shrimp Tempura Roll. Their service has always been wonderful to me. Never overbearing, never neglected. Always refilled my drinks when needed. Would recommend this place :)

Probably closer to 3.5 stars, but rounding down. My coworkers and I came for dinner after a recommendation. It wasn’t that packed on a Thursday night at 8:30pm, so we were sat right away. We tried: –Steamed Buns w/Pork Belly(3 Fluffy Streamed Buns Filled w/Pork Belly, Minced Greens, Scallions, w/Hoisin Sauce, $ 8, ): Pretty solid– the pork belly pieces could have been thicker and the buns fluffier, but it was tasty. –Spicy Popcorn Shrimp(Served w/Spicy Mayo Dressing, $ 5.50, ): Again, pretty tasty, but I wished the shrimp was crispier. I loved the spicy mayo dressing though. –House Salad($ 3.50): Solid salad. –Red Rock Roll(Two Jumbo Shrimp Tempura, Cream Cheese, Jalapeño Pepper Inside, Spicy Tuna, Crab Stick, Crunchy Bits, Exploding Sauces, $ 13.95, ): We had a good laugh about the«exploding sauces», but this was a good roll! It was gigantic, and very shareable. I loved the crunchy bits and sauces– recommended! –Alaska Roll(California Roll Topped w/Fresh Salmon, Avocado, Half Order $ 7, ): Good, and the salmon was fresh– recommended! –Hawaii Roll(Shrimp Tempura Roll Topped w/Poached Shrimp, Avocado, Honey Walnut, Sweet Soy Glaze, Full, $ 11.95, ): Solid, but this was my least favorite out of the rolls we had. Overall, it was a good meal, and we had a TON of food for the price. Service was solid and parking was easy since they have a big lot.

I came here wanting some ramen. There was a 10 – 15 minute wait. We opted to sit at the sushi bar. I ordered the Thai Curry ramen without the egg. The broth was definitely not what I was expected. It had a strong fish taste and it was just okay. I think I’ll stick to the original broth(Tonkatsu) next time.

I returned to this place after my first experience was amazing. Not a big ramen guy but on my first visits for a Unilocal event they change my mind about it. My second visit here though was for the sushi and I am a sushi fan! In the past my sushi of choice was piranhas in Arlington but after many visits with disappointing outcomes I decided to try a new place for sushi. I tried a couple of places but couldn’t fill the emptiness of my sushi craving. Finally I decided to come back to this amazing place! Not very big inside the restaurant but plenty space not to be bumping elbows. The décor is very nice and they keep the place super clean. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The bathrooms are kept up very nicely and they have plenty of parking so is a no brainer. Let’s talk about the amazing food. The sushi is very fresh and they have plenty to choose from. The prices are fair for the quality and portions of the food. They offer other tasty stuff in the menu but for me the ramen and the sushi is what will keep me coming. This place is about 45min to an hour from me but is worth the trip. Next time you are in the mood for a good serving of sushi or ramen this place won’t disappoint.

I didn’t get to go to the Unilocal event here.boo. After seeing Ted check in for months(I actually ran into the duke of WS&R while there!), I decided to give it a try. This place is tucked into a strip mall. I forgot what used to be here. Anyway, I came for the ramen and probably would only come for ramen. I’m no ramen expert, but I thought it was really good. I got the tonkotsu(is it tonkotsu or tonkatsu?) it was rich and creamy. I liked the pork belly better than Hanabi. My husband and kids got either the shoyu or the shio. I can’t remember, but whatever it was it was good. Did I say it was good? Because it was good.

This is a cute little mom and pop place tucked into a strip mall. There’s seats at the sushi bar and some half booth tables and 4 tops scattered about. When we came on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. Service was great– probably because there was only one other couple there. This was a solid place for a bowl of ramen. I had the shoyu and hubby had the tonkatsu. I opted to skip out on the pork and get extra egg because I’m a sucker for yolky goodness. Your options for ramen in Fort Worth are pretty limited, so I’m glad this place has opened up. That is really all I would order again though. We tried a few rolls, ½ orders and the pork buns. The pork buns had way too much sauce and the pork was the same as the pork from the ramen– so it’s thin and too mushy for my liking. The sushi rolls are very Americanized. Full of cream cheese and covered in sauces. I did like the sesame crusted tuna. As far as the rest of the rolls we ended up not eating more than a few bites. I would definitely come back for ramen. The rest I would pass on– except for the mochi! Get the trio.

My initial thought when stepping into here was how cute it was! From the Japanese lanterns hanging off the ceiling to the other various Japanese décor. The atmosphere the place gave off was so simplistic and cozy. We started off with 2 orders of the soft-shell crab appetizer which tasted wonderful and had the perfect amount of crisp to it. I was feeling gutsy and decided to also start my meal off with a quail egg shot. No regrets! To be honest, this was my favorite item of the night. Though it was tiny, it was delicious and flavorful, and I loved whatever sauce was inside– ponzu maybe? I was lucky enough to get their very last one of the day(that’s when you know it’s a hot item!) The sushi options were endless. After contemplating the menu for a long time, I finally decided on trying the Red Rock roll. Unfortunately, the roll did not live up to its looks. The panko crisps that topped the sushi tasted stale, and the crab meat tasted artificial like the crab sticks you buy at grocery stores. The whole thing was eh to me. It wasn’t horrible, but at the same time, it wasn’t anything outstanding. Though I must say, the jalapeño sure did add a kick to things. Overall, I had a decent experience here. I won’t be too quick to judge though because I know there was much more on the menu that I would’ve been more satisfied with. Maybe I’ll try their ramen the next time I come back since I do hear great things about it!

I come here for the ramen, which is always excellent. The broth is great, and the noodles are great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fairly relaxed, and seems like a modern take on traditional Japanese decoration. Light music plays in the background, but never loud enough to interfere with conversation. The sushi is good, and they have quite the list of house sushi rolls, which is fairly typical for a sushi shop.

Overall 4.5 stars Décor: 5⁄5 –May appear small but can seat a decent number of patrons Service: 5⁄5 –excellent, friendly hospitality Food: 4⁄5 –My favorites are the fried octopus and tonkatsu ramen –Wild Sushi Roll: unique flavor, a bit too generous with the ponzu sauce at the bottom, the roll was soaking it all up. –Yummy Roll: good flavor however a bit too generous with the eel sauce and mayo –You get the choice of half(4 pcs) or full rolls(8 pcs). Prices are a bit high I feel for both 4 pcs and 8 pcs

I was skeptical about this place at first, but it’s really amazing. The owner and serve staff are all friendly. The décor is contemporary, but warm:-) restrooms were super clean:-) they closed the restaurant for our large group:-) We tried the fried octopus and the edamame for appetizer. Both were really good;/) We got to the tonkatsu ramen, and it really is one of the best in DFW. The owner says the broth takes 2 days to make. The pork was really tender and the soup was flavorful. For dessert we had Mochi ice cream. Green tea and strawberry. I liked green tea better. I will definitely be coming back, this place is a hidden gem:-)

I have to share a few details right up front: this was an official Unilocal event(yea!), I’ve not eaten Ramen before(except the cheap cup of noodles), and I was nervous about attending. Everything was over the top great. Wild Sushi and Ramen is a small restaurant, intimate in its setting. The staff is professional. The owner took some time to give us a background to the food and why he has entered the«Ramen Market»(my words). He shared the recipe is a family recipe. I had octopus(or was it squid?). Growing up on a backpack of a shrimp boat on my dad’s 73 foot trawler during the summers, I can tell you, it was the real thing. I had edamame for the first time, interesting and nice for a first experience. I have to admit that I sat at a table of engaging guys who were eager to share their knowledge and love of food. That was special considering I have never met any of them before and this was my first Unilocal event to attend. The bowl of Ramen was really interesting and delicious. I’ve not had Ramen before, well not home cooked anyways. It is almost like a cross between Miso and buttery cream gravy meets pork with noodles. Buried in the middle of the bowl of soup, was a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. That was a surprise to me, a welcome one as I love soft boiled eggs. The Ramen was delicious and I want to try it again with my daughters. We decided to have some sushi also. I ordered a sushi that had tempura shrimp with steak and a few other goodies. I have to confess, I’m not a sushi lover overall and have nearly avoided it like the plague or a zombie manifestation. I was rather pleased with everything I tasted. They have what I would call a broad range of sushi. The presentation on each was just super and I really enjoyed every bite. I had a glass of wine that was a first for me, a plum wine. It was a desert wine of sorts, but not as syrupy as sangria, for example. I really enjoyed it, sort of a Moscato of sorts with a distinct flavor. For desert, they brought out something I can’t even recall. It was an ice cream or sherbet type mixture encased in a starch/rice paper shell. It was two halves of frozen desert, one half being green tea and the other half being strawberry. Both were good, but I really enjoyed the strawberry. I really recommend this restaurant. I’ll be back bringing my daughters to try out various dishes. Thank you Kendall for organizing this, really enjoyable!

I came here for the Ramen and pork belly buns. The pork belly buns were great! Exactly what I was wanting and satisfied that craving. And I had to try the Ramen too bc I had to. So this was not a sushi trip :) Ramen was great! I had the spicy miso Ramen. I overdid it with the buns and Ramen bc I walked out of there FULLLLLLLL. Can’t wait to go back and try the sushi :)

I use to be a server here and never wrote a review till now! Don’t let the small business give you doubts, most of the sushi rolls here are creative, unique, and flavorful. After working here I’ve become a sushi snob. My favorite rolls: Pretty lady roll… Soy paper makes its extra healthy, tuna, and the wasabi cream on top gives it that perfect spice! Red rock rolls: spicy tuna, shredded crap, lots of sauce, and crunchy flakes sprinkles on top. Sweetheart roll: my dessert roll, I always thought fruits on rolls were disgusting but the kiwi sauce and eel sauce add a sweet flavor FYI: I know I’m missing a couple ingredients like rice, avocado, shrimp, etc but just mentioning the key flavors I enjoyed. Green tea cheesecake, red bean/green tea ice cream are a must for dessert. Sushi chefs are friendly, along with the servers. New items on the menu. Definitely need to stop in and try!
