Excellent service and hospitality from Catherine the manager. We appreciate the outstanding service and customer service. We drive all the way from Los Angeles to this location because of great food and service. Thank you.

I had dinner here on Friday night. Everything started out ok till we sat down at the table. There was a contest going on with the staff to see who could sell the most bottle corona or 3 tropical drinks.
The waitress arrives and offers us the special drinks without telling us about the contest. The menu is very confusing with all the deals. We decided not to order the meals 2for20.00 but did order some appetizers. The waitress knew I was looking at the deal, any 2 for 9.50. I ordered chips n salsa and she suggested the boneless chicken wings. We also ordered 2 cheeseburgers. Everything is still going good until the food arrives. Burgers were plain, no lettuce, tomato, pickles etc. we asked for those condiments and the waitress told us the burgers come plain. (the menu states the burgers come with them) so we got everything we needed and it was time to pay. The restaurant has little table top computers that they use now to order your food and you can pay with a credit card. Ok so here comes the kicker! The waitress does not show us a print out of the order with our total. The little computer was set to: swipe card. I start pressing the back button to see our order and Bam! We did not get the deal for the appetizer because the waitress did not order it that way… I question the charge and was told it was a mistake because the computer is not easy to use. So ok bad luck right? No big deal. We pay with cash and the waitress did not have correct change and did not offer to go get change, instead she asked if it was ok to round out the total. Only problem was she owed us money not the other way around. By this time I am completely stunned and speechless! I did inquire about the appetizer to staff and was informed we were given a whole order of wings not half an order for the deal!!! I don’t know about you but that’s suspicious. So burgers with no condiments, a rip off on the appetizer deal and shorted on our change… NEVER WILL I STEP FOOT IN A APPLEBEES AGAIN. I hope someone actually reads this whole review so you know what to look for if you eat here.

The food and service was outstanding! Josef was really nice and friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed. They have a new menu as of today! We got the 2 entrees with 2 salads for $ 20! We will be back and ask for Josef’s table!

BEWARE OF RIDICULOUS OVERCHARGES.
Came in on a Saturday night, ordered an entrée (forgot what it was but it was awful) and the waitress asked me if I wanted avocados with that. I assumed that the avocados were complimentary with the dish so I said «sure». She didn’t say anything while she was writing that down and walked away. As I was paying I noticed that I was charged $ 2.99 for the AVACADOS.
First off, as a server myself, you ALWAYS let the customer know that they are going to be charged extra for anything. You NEVER assume that the customer knows beforehand and as your job as a server, you HELP the customers out. Even if the customer knows beforehand that they are going to be charged extra, CONFIRM THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BE CHARGED EXTRA.
I don’t know if this is a devious plan to up sale customers by slipping in the extra charge but I feel sorry for those who fall victim to this bad service. As a fellow Unilocaler, I want you all to informed and don’t make the same mistake as I did.
Don’t see myself coming back here for a pretty long time. Service sucks and the food is no better either.

It was a bad idea coming to eat here after a dentist appointment. Chose this place because it was nearby. It’s been years since I’ve eaten at this chain restaurant. Our waitress was very pushy in introducing certain happy hour drinks to order that involved her in a sweepstakes contest of winning her a prize. We declined on those particular drinks, and thereafter the service went downhill. My husband had asked what ale beers they had on tap, but both bar server and waitress were not educated on the beer they served there. After receiving our meals, I had asked for napkins «THREE TIMES», and I still did not get any brought to us. It felt intentional. I got up to get some near another server and told her that our waitress was asked a few times for napkins, and she never brought them to us. So again, beware because service sucks!

What a nice afternoon! Got to try the Apple of my Eye IPA… T heir own great beer. Katie the bartender was so darn sweet! Great good! Super service!

I had such a great time here! The service was amazing! Rebecca made amazing drinks and was very fun to talk to!

In you’re in Huntington Beach, Ca check out the applebee’s on Brookhurst. I love this place. Great service and Great Food!!! I’ll be back here on my next day off

First timer at apple bees and the experience I am having at this moment is. So far I have ordered the wonton tacos, nacho verdes and the Thai chicken wings that I had to order another order of nachos verdes. Waiting for my entrée. Riblets and the chicken bourbon. Seriously everything on the menu sounds great and the service and TESS my server gets .I would definitely come back I’m so glad that my first experience to an apple bees was here.

I’ll be honest. It wasn’t my best experience today, but it’s not where you start. It’s where you end. My waitress Wendi did her best but the manager Cat really saved the day. She made up any negative experience we had and made us feel important and erased anything that came out wrong off my bill. Kudos to the staff.

By far best service ever, with Rychelle as our server, and Manager, Kimberly. Great food, great atmosphere. Everyone was helpful, and they all worked together.

Absolutely a perfect place to grab cocktails with friends and either watch sports or just to enjoy each others company. Been coming here since 2010 for the Great Happy Hour! Definitely bartender Maria is exceptional! She will make sure you feel special and will take care of you in addition to providing you with great service! Great place to bring either family or just your friends, either way its a great place to hang out!

Michelle the GM of this Applebee’s was very professional in settling the issue I had with the restaurant. She knows how to do her job and a lot of other restaurants should learn some pointers from her. Thank you Michelle I will be back here after your feedback

This place is fantastic! Excellent food at a wonderful price and Lauren definitely made the service much more enjoyable. Management needs minor improvement due to the fact that I’ve seen one manager call out her staff in front of us multiple times. I did speak to a manager but unfortunately it wasn’t the rude one. But the one I did talk to was also a very nice person. This restaurant needs more employees like Lauren to continue on as a successful establishment

Omfg!!! EVERY SINGLE time I come here my order ALWAYS comes out cold!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! My family and I come here often and we wanted to give them a chance. But all the free deserts can’t make up for how many times I sit and watch my husband and son eat as I wait around for my food to be recooked. Total B.S.
this particular server (Lauren) today is HORRID. She didn’t bring plates or napkins for our order of wings. Forgot my sons apple juice THREE times. Never came to check on us and she only had TWO tables other than us each table with two ppl
The ONLY thing good about this pace is JASON.
JASON WE LOVE YOU AND YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS HOLE!!! He’s an amazing server and we will miss him.
*update* we just left. Not only did they do NOTHING to make up for bringing out cold food or forgetting so many things, but she charged us full price for a happy hour appetizer and was not willing to discount of any kind. The table NEXT to us was offered HH why are we any different.
Will NEVER come back here again. After years of loyalty, I give up. Corporate needs to SHUT DOWN this location.

I didn’t really mind the atmosphere in this place. It was more the quality, quantity and price of the food.
The 2 for $ 20 deal is really terrible. The entrees are super small and the taste is extremely lacking. The appetizer was nothing special either.
Chili’s has the same deal, but the quality and quantity of food you get skyrockets past Applebee’s.
I don’t understand why the portions are so tiny for such a price. Doesn’t make sense.

Service sucks! We came during the happy hour and ordered a bunch of appetizers and drinks off that menu.
I assume our server thought we weren’t going to be leaving them a big enough tip since we came for happy hour and that’s where service took a nose dive. We weren’t checked up on, drinks weren’t refilled until I flagged the server down, and the food took forever. Meanwhile the manager (who looked to be in his late forties and probably has worked at Applebees his whole life) made no effort to check up on the patrons. He casually stayed at the bar chatting up some other older guy.
There are a ton of better options out there. Let this Applebees go out of business so something with decent customer service can move on in.

The quality of food has increased since last year. They have great happy hour specials (50% off appetizers)! My favorite is the artichoke dip! It’s so delicious!
They also have other specials like 2 for $ 20 plates, which are decent.
This is a really relaxed restaurant. It’s not chaotic and there’s really never a wait.
They have cool technology, you can order and pay on a mini iPad looking device.
Also, don’t forgot to try the blondie for dessert! Way better than any pizookie in my opinion.

Its great when you find a selection that feeds a picky family, better to find no waiting on arrival. The waiter we had was super kewl, really increased my kids experience and the whole family left satisfied and happy.
This location has great staff, a clean environment, awesome food, super deals and can please everyone in one shot. The tablets at every table are a nice feature. Games for the kids (99 cents), order appetizers or desserts, even pay the bill with a tip calculator built it, I really liked that option. Id give a 6^th star for that one. LOL
Go check them out, but not too many at once cause I hate waiting. JKJK …
