Fashion Hair & Nail

I wanted to give this place 4 stars, I really did! My appointment was fine, and I was fairly happy with my nails. But my mom didn’t have the best time.
My mom came here a couple of times to get her hair done and they even wash it. So when my cousin was getting married, we (my sister, mom, and I) went here to get our nails done.
Luckily, it is a short walk from our house. We called a couple of days in advanced and made an appt for 9:30 (when they open) for Friday. They were okay with making the appt for three. Last minute though (like I called at 9:33) I had to call to reschedule for 4pm that same day. They were good about rescheduling and fit us in.
We arrived a little late, but they helped us right away. All three of us are not the type to get our nails done too often (maybe twice a year), but they seemed to do a pretty good job. I asked for gel nails, no pedicure ($ 22). They don’t have a huge selection of colors, but enough where I got the grey color I wanted. Hopefully they will expand their colors though. The lady was nice, and they did 2 coats of the grey nails I wanted. They also applied some cuticle cream on the base of my nails. Not sure what the cream does, but I thought that was a nice touch. And they also put lotion on my fingers and arms, and I enjoyed it cause it was a mini-​hand massage!
My sister got a french manicure, it’s an additional +$ 3 on top of the price. And she got a pedicure too. They have the massage chairs with the hot water for your feet. I didn’t get to try, but it looks comfortable. My mom also got a full mani/​pedi. The problem was she said when they were cleaning her nails. it hurt her skin. So she wasn’t too happy about that. The area around her skin started bleeding too! And it may have been the nail polish, but after a week (I posted a photo), her nails were already chipping really badly. And it’s not like she was doing a lot of dishes or anything where it caused for her nails to chip so much. My mom actually injured her arm, so she really couldn’t even do much with her hands, so I didn’t see why it was so bad/​My mom thinks it’s cause it was old nail polish so it was a little rusty. I also posted a photo of my nails after a week, I personally didn’t have a problem. And my gel nails didn’t really start to chip until about 3 weeks later, so I didn’t mind that.
So, I may go back for gel nails cause it’s a good price, but my mom said she wouldn’t want to go back.

Great experience getting my nails done by Tammy. Very skillful and clean. Tammy is very nice. The space is very clean and pleasant. Easy parking too.
