Hot N Juicy Crawfish

First time here and I researched the place and i knew it was going to be messy so I dressed appropriately haha. I had a half pound of shrimp and a little over a pound of Dungeness crab. I chose the medium spicy level and it had just the right amount of kick. Flavors were excellent and everything was nice and hot (temperature wise). I definitely want to come back! I think I washed my hands like 3 times during eating it was so messy but so delicious so you can’t stop haha.

This place service sucks, was with a friend having lunch yesterday we didn’t get any bucket to put trash in, we asked for a cracker for crabs and forks to eat the potatoes the waitress brings back 1 fork, 1 cracker, and 1 slicer its 2 people so why did u bring only 1 of each, so then we asked for duplicates it took her 15 mins to come back smh awful service. Won’t be going back and apart from that the food wasn’t all that great. We had garlic butter flavor the garlic was overwhelming I like to taste my food.

came here on saturday night with my boyfriend and overall it was pretty good. We had a girl server. dont remember her name, but she have a tail on the back of her hair. she really friendly and check up on us a lot. food came out fast, but need a bit more flavor in the sauce. i really like this place and definitely come back.

I had heard about the Vegas location but never had a chance to try it. When hot n juicy came to OC, I was excited to try it.
I normally come here when I want a decent quick fix of crawfish/​shrimp. I wouldn’t say it’s the best but it enough to satisfy my craving lol
Now the only reason why I’m giving it only ³⁄₅ stars is because I recently got a chance to try the Vegas location, and it is WAY better than any of the OC locations. The flavor is better, the service is better, even the size of the crawfish were better. Too bad I have to drive to Vegas for it if I wanted it again. :(

They don’t even deserve one star. I come here maybe 1 – 2 times a month with my brother. We drive from LA just to come here. We always get the same thing, «Get your feet wet» or something like that. (I don’t remember bc my brothers always order it) ANYWAYS! Our food was disgusting! Literally the Cajun fries were not crunchy and there was TOO much seasoning. The shrimp and crawfish were okay, we had better. The sausage on the other hand… NASTY! It even looked nasty. I know what it looks like because it is one of the things I look forward to eating! I asked one of the worker and even she said it looks weird. So she went back to ask the cook and I guess it was old they were jus trynna get rid of it. Well you know what? You guys got rid of us! Never coming hear again. I rather go to kickin crab or boiling crab. Also the serve sucked! Literally there was 7 people working and just kicking it! I had to literally raise my hand to get their attention. Never coming back here.

This place is the typical Asian crawfish place in OC. The servers are super nice and attentive. Wide open space and not too crowded.
We had the shrimp and I got it as hot as they could make it. Not really that flavorful as far as the spice goes. The shrimp are fresh and cooked right though.
We had 2 pounds of shrimp, added sausage, potato, and corn. We had fried mozzarella We had 1 iced tea and 1 water. Bill with tip (20% was $ 50.00) Seems like this place was really exepenisve.

Really like to eat here at this place but our waitress is extremely rude. I’ve been coming here for the last 2 years with my boyfriend and always had a good experience but the attitude of our waitress by the name of kieu is something else. What I did not like is that my boyfriend ask her what are the combination combos and she picks up the menu and just hands it to him and point. Who does that? I don’t know what’s wrong but it’s not a good look for the company of hot and juicy.

I never thought I would have to do this & it honestly almost breaks my heart because this place has been mine & my family’s FAVORITE place to eat-​up until tonight.
We got here around 840pm and we saw a couple of people waiting outside and inside of the restaurant. We were a little taken back bc we come here every Friday or Saturday around the same time and have never had to wait. There was a large-​HUGE party seated but there were a lot of workers and since the food here is always on point, we decided to wait the 30 minutes we were told it would be. We were seated around 905pm by Kieu and she took our drink order and brought them out right away. We placed our order as soon as she got back w the drinks which was around 910pm (Michelada, 1 lb shrimp, rice, sweet potato fries, 1 dz sausage)
At about 920 we received the rice and sausage. (Brought to us by a different waitress) Usually the sweet potato fries are the first to come out… the fries didn’t arrive until 930pm. (Again, brought by a different waiter) At this time we had already started eating our rice and sausage bc we were pretty hungry. Once the fries came out we devoured those pretty quick since our shrimp hadn’t come out. Well, it never came out! At around 945pm I told the hubby we should ask them about our shrimp. Our 6yo son was falling asleep at the table waiting for the shrimp.
I had to stop a waiter to tell him about our problem since NO ONE had stopped by to check on us since dropping off our fries. I mentioned how we were regulars and had never had an issue like this in the past. He told me he remembers us bc he has taken care of us in the past. I mentioned to him that if our shrimp wasn’t ready to just cancel our order. A couple of minutes later, the waiter comes back and apologizes over and over again and tells us that he was able to comp our meal. Not once did anybody come to check on us when there was all kinds of movement around our table. There was even a couple who showed up 20 minutes after us that was enjoying their shrimp and fries while we were still waiting for our shrimp.
I understand they had a large party which probably slowed them down a little in the kitchen, but not once did anybody come to check on us! We were the only table without shrimp or a waiter/​waitress. We left so very disappointed and hungry thanks to the POOR MANAGEMENT that was standing behind the register throughout our entire visit. Did the manager ever come to our table afterward to apologize or explain to us what happened? Nope-​he was too busy filling up the containers they have with those mints they give you when you pay. He AVOIDED us on purpose bc he knew we were pretty upset. And he knows we are-​WERE regular customers.

As a native of the Louisiana I love me some crawfish and will always go looking for it! This place does a great job! Good flavor and spice, and there desert is pretty amazing! Fried brownies! Definitely worth a try.
My only complaint was they weren’t very busy but me and my table were ignored a lot by our server and the food took a very long time to come out.
But I will probably give them another shot

Pretty good overall! Came here on a Monday around 4pm for a mini birthday celebration with no wait.
Highlights:

The food was pretty good. I got 1 lb of mild «hot n juicy style» shrimp and cajun fries. As you know, YES to the fries! The shrimp, however, was a little overcooked and thus difficult to peel at times. It’s flavor isn’t as bold as the flavors in other restaurants like these because it tasted more buttery. Still yummy though!
We had a child in our group who ordered first before the rest of our party arrived, and she got her food earlier (of course), but I noticed it wasn’t until after we were ALL given our food that the salt/​pepper/​lemons/​limes were brought out last. Super minor, but I’d expect the condiments to come out for the 1^st person even if she ordered earlier than everyone else. But besides that, service was great. They provided matches for us to light the birthday candles.

My new favorite place to go! Only been here three times and I’m in love ! The size of the shrimps are huge! They have great deals for reasonable prices, variety of flavors to choose from, and customer service never fails! Compared to all the other crawfish spots this one stands out and beats all if them. Because:
1) their sauces have very little oil and loads of flavor, whereas other places your seafood is just sitting in flavored oil and leaves no taste!
2) the serving seems right! If i were to get a pound at boiling crab if shrimp i would have to buy 2 more pounds just to be full! While at hot and juicy I’m full off one pound!
Visiting is a must ! I recommend it! It will change your whole perspective of other crawfish places !

What can I say? The shrimp is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!
My family and I have been to boiling crab and used to get so annoyed by their wait times and how crowded the place would get. Finally one day we decided to try this place I had my eyes on every time we would drive to Costco.
I’m so happy we gave this place a try! The shrimp with their seasonings are delish!
Its a nice, usually quiet place to just sit down & talk to the love your life while ripping the head off the shrimps lol. This place is clean and has friendly staff. I haven’t complained about anything here.
Good food, good calm vibes, music, & flat screens on the walls, what more do you want?

I love this place.
There is never a wait. The most I’ve waited is 10 mins.
I love that they aren’t stingy. The shrimp always comes flavorful and are actually quite large. They also offer ½ a pound. I’m obsessed with this place. The only bad thing I have to say about it, which I don’t think was a reflection of the entire restaurant itself, but our waiter. He forgot one of our orders. But we were too satisfied with our medium, hot n juicy, pound and a half of shrimp, Cajun fries, and mozzarella sticks to care. We’re most definitely going to be regulars here. No diss to boiling crab (love it there too, but the wait is just too long at all locations by me), but this place is better and less hectic. (No ridiculous wait time)

Now I would’ve give this place 5 stars, but the customer service was BAD. The place was practically empty, except for 2 families that were eating, and our waiter named Willard (I think) took his sweet ass time with serving our food, standing there talking to another waitress while I ask for help. Not cool! Whatever, that’s why I tipped his ass with only a few bucks. Anyways back to the food. Outta the 3 seafood places I been to, (including this one, kicking crab and boiling crab.) Hot and juicy has the best sauce outta all of them! The crawfish, green mussels, shrimp, potatoes and corn was all hitting the right spots. The only downer was the calamari. They should’ve seasoned it, but I threw it in the bag and ate it with the sauce… Oh god, it was good. I’ll go back to eat there again, but I just hope they work on their service better next time

Thank you Hot n Juicy. Once again another delicious meal, great service. Took some friends with us tonight and they loved it, just made 2 new satisfied customers. My daughter as always wiped out 3lbs of crawfish, she loves it. So glad that I can take her to one of her favorite restaurants. It’s unfortunate that other family members won’t be able to share it with her anymore. Kudos to the manager for keeping things moving on a very busy Friday night.

Maybe it was because Unilocal gave it a 3.5 stars so I had lower expectations, BUT THIS PLACE IS GREAT! Food, service, prices were all on point.
Food– I 2lbs if crawfish with 2 corns bc I substituted the sausage for a corn. I chose Cajun seasoning level spicy. Let me tell you, THIS WAS SO BOMB. Like it had a kick but it was also super good. I also got 4 more corns because I love eating corn and crawfish. Their corn was sweet and with my sauce it was even better. Yeah some of the crawfish pieces are a little small, but you get some big ones too. The fries here are also really great. They’re thicker than normal fries but they’re not completely like steak fries.
Service– Our server was Sarah and she was great. I love her personality and she was attentive to us when we needed something. Absolutely love her!
Price– I’m pretty sure their prices change with the seasons but for my crawfish it was 10.99/lb. and corn was an extra 0.75 per piece. Price is pretty typical maybe a little cheaper than others but it is still great.
Definitely would come back here because it is super close to me. The service here is very welcoming. The food here is just a perfect blend for my taste bud. The place itself is actually VERY spacious as well. Looking forward for the next time I decide here to come again.

Snow crab in lemon pepper sauce will haunt you (in a good way) for a lifetime.

I love how it’s not so crowded during lunch time. We always get great attentive service here. But I remember the flavor used to be exceptional, today on the other hand it seems a bit bland. I always order the crawfish with the hot n juicy extra spicy. Spice level was on point but like I said the flavor was off today.

Boiling Crab was closed and we had a mad craving for cajun/​creole seafood to satisfy so we decided to try this place out at a friend’s recommendation. Luckily for us, Hot N Juicy was open and they will be our to go place for cajun seafood from now on.
Hot N Juicy is on the corner of Edinger and Euclid so it’s really easy to find. It’s a casual style restaurant and really spacious as opposed to its competitors. Bradley was our server and he was an absolutely fantastic server! Thank you Bradley for a pleasant experience and great service :)
The shrimps are larger and juicier than other places we’ve been to. We ordered the 2lbs. of shrimp deal with the Hot N Juicy medium sauce and now we’re hooked! I’m usually really picky about the sauce but this sauce was the perfect combination of cajun spice and rich flavor. A huge plus is that they serve pitchers of beer and have paper towels on a rack for you at every table. Love this place, highly recommend it, and will be coming back again soon!

I defiitely will be coming here over boiling crab next time! I was pretty much impressed with everything. One odd thing I was really astounded by was the restrooms! Thank the Lord that they have restrooms that can more than 10 people in there; get on their level Boiling Crab. It was also very clean and neat despite how dirty your fingers can get.
I noticed they may not have as much seating as boiling crab and the hype isn’t as big there but they still have a lot of open space and they have outside seating as well.
The price is relatively close to that of Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab. I thought the spiceness of mild was just PERFECT and even the corn was really good. I got a pound of shrimp and ended up with about 16 shrimp in the bag which is pretty good.
The customer service was amazing. Everyone there was just so friendly and always asked if we needed anything. Even if we made eye contact with one of the workers, instead of them ignoring us, they came by and asked if we needed anything. In my case, it was a NO hahah but I really admired that.
This may not have the same super cool, chill, and exciting vibe as Boiling Crab where you write things on the wall and using ketchup to draw weird things or write your name, but they definitely make up in a lot of areas that Boiling Crab/​Kickin Crab provide.
Definitely come and try it here. Some people will say that the quality of seafood isn’t the best, but I highly doubt they know what the heck they are talking about. Someone who has grown up in the seafood business, I can be honest and say that you get what you pay for. Your not paying for luxury seafood, so don’t expect luxury shrimp… simple.
Came here around 7:45pm on a Thursday night and it was not packed but there were good amount of people coming in and out.
