My dad started going to this shop after having his hair butchered at Supercuts one too many times. I figured I’d give them a try. This is an awesome little barber shop. The owner’s dad used to run a barber school back in the day, so you know he’s got the skills. The price is much better than Supercuts and so is the atmosphere and haircuts. These guys are part of a dying breed. Give them a shot. You won’t regret it.

Just stopped by here because for some reason my normal barber shop was closed in the middle of a Monday. I’ve lived in this area for about 20 years and have never been here. The décor was great. Baseball themed stadium chairs, etc. Very nice, older fellow(although his name eludes me at the moment) gave me a good clean cut and convo. Wasn’t busy either. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I’m definitely keeping this shop in mind should anything happen to my other shop. Highly recommended

I have been going to this shop for some time now. The owner Lance and his brother Dave are the primary barbers… Both are great guys. The shop has a heavy baseball theme and it’s a fun place to visit. Haircuts and customer service is good. Highly Recommend this shop.

Been going to this shop for at least the last 9 years. I used to live in FV and now live in Rancho Santa Margarita and have no problem making the 30 mile trip there once a month to get my hair cut. Lance is a great guy and even had the pleasure of playing a round of golf with him when I ran into him at Mile Square Park. Lance is very talented at hair and drawing. All of the cartoon art work in the shop is by his hand. Always have great conversation with him and always leave completely satisfied with the cut.

Supporting mom and pop shops over big corporations is something I tend to do often. On Deck Barbers has always been nothing but outstanding every single time I have been. Lance the owner is super friendly and actually understands how to cut hair. Ive never had the experience where you ask for one inch off and next thing you know its three or four inches that disappeared. I believe his main goal is to make sure you are happy with the haircut you received and that you will be a repeat customer. As far as the décor goes it has everything to do with baseball. The seats you wait in are old stadium seats and the floor looks like the infield of a baseball diamond. They have a television right in the middle that is always either on sports center or some type of baseball program. What I enjoy is that there is generally never too long of a wait. For the most part I am able to get in and out rather quickly or just have to wait for one customer in front of me. The price of a haircut is not expensive at all. For me it is twelve dollars due to the fact that he is using scissors. If I am correct I believe a buzz here is nine dollars so either way it is rather inexpensive. All in all On Deck Barbers is an awesome place to get a haircut. Not only do you get to enjoy the neat sports memorabilia but you will also have good customer service and a sharp haircut!

My mother usually doesn’t like what my dad looks like, and they never cut his bangs straight. My dad might be fidgety and tough to cut though. That being said, he is a big Angel’s fan and has been getting his hair cut here for years… and years. He looks much better than usual after he leaves this place, but that is not saying much. He will keep coming back!

This was my second visit to «On Deck» since I was dissatisfied with my previous barber shop. Lance and Dave are easy to talk to and they give a great cut in about 15 min. The price is very reasonable and if you’re an «Angels» fan, you’ll fit right in! The waiting seats are actually original Angels’ stadium seats. The place is adorned with everything baseball. I will continue to frequent this establishment.

Walked out w/out getting my 6 year old’s haircut. they ignored us as we waited yet greeted another mom w/kids who walked in. Too bad… for them… my hubby(see photo) & father in law are prior service and retired military always open to good barber shops… won’t be recommending this one… they clearly weren’t open to me and my son as customers… and that’s ok… i get it.

I live nearby and decided to try these guys out after reading the good reviews. As mentioned, it’s a very cozy, well decorated little shop with lots of personality. It was surprisingly busy for a morning, with guests mostly on the older side that looked like regulars. The barbers are very skilled and detailed. I asked for a clipper cut on the sides with scissor work on top. However, when I asked for it slightly shorter on top my barber insisted on using a clipper. The end result wasn’t great, but I was able to touch it up myself with scissors and even it out. Would have given four stars, but service-oriented businesses should really listen to their customers and match their needs.

I stopped by here for the haircut before my wedding. These guys were great. I loved the sports atmosphere and the barbers there know exactly what you mean when you say neat in the back and off the ears. I have been telling my friends about this place since. I find they are quick, friendly and a great deal. Go stop by and you’ll change your barber just like I did.

great little neighborhood barbershop. lance has been cutting hair for several years and is really good. the shop is baseball themed and angels fans are all here. usually there is a game of some sort on the tv. not like the«traditional» supercuts and chain haircut places, but more like the old fashioned ones and still very reasonable priced. kids even still get candy after the haircut here.
