The beautiful end to the Sante Fe Trail heading south. One of my favorite trails to ride, it also goes all the way north to Palmer Lake. This park is always a joy to pedal through on this end. If you live on this end of the trail, head north on the trail and it gets you to Downtown Colorado Springs as well as Ivywild area. Closer it’s a nice safe route to Widefield. Try it.

This park has everything. Picnic benches, playground, pond with geese, trail, creek, and plenty of room to run around in the grass. Lots of people come here to take photos, it is really pretty during all seasons. The trail is really long, perfect for bike rides, runs, or just a stroll with the dogs. So glad it’s close to home.

Lovely refuge for a leisurely walk in any season. Inclines are small and gradual. There is a nice loop around and between the two ponds. Bird watching year round with free binoculars in an overhang above one of the small lakes. Signage along the main trail highlights natural flora and fauna that you may spy along the way. We went the day after Thanksgiving and saw quite a few birds and bunnies, a deer, and one rather chatty mallard, and mostly had the place to ourselves. There was a dog off leash when we were there but I think dogs are technically prohibited. We left ours in the car and took her to a nearby park afterwards.
