Stone

From the start, I have had nothing but an exceptional experience with Stone, Inc.
I was sent to the Marlborough warehouse from another granite company that proved to be less then helpful. The warehouse was amazing and had so much to choose from. I told my builder of my difficulty with the original company and he informed me that Marc (one of the owners) from Stone Inc. would be in touch with me shortly.
Marc was in touch with me within a few hours and was already very knowledgable of the stone pieces I had chosen and what my husband and I were ultimately looking for. He was incredibly personable and genuine throughout not only our initial conversation, but all that followed. He followed through on his word and I received an estimate for my countertops the same afternoon. Marc knew that my builder and I were trying to get the house finished as soon as possible and he had the countertops templated and installed within a week and a half.
I had such a good experience with Marc and the installers that I had them template for around my gas fireplace and tub deck both to be fitted with carerra marble. I was unable to make it to the warehouse again to select a slab myself so Marc offered to if I gave him a picture of my bathroom tile to go off of. I trusted his professional judgement and not only were they templated quickly but installed within a week. The end result was beyond beautiful.
The most important part for me was that for everything, Marc gave me two estimates. One with seams and one without. I never felt pressured and he supported all of my decisions. Their prices for all of my pieces were very reasonable and significantly less than the original place I was working with.
I shared with him that I want to add a full height backsplash of the same countertop but don’t have the money for a few more weeks. He went ahead and set aside a matching slab for me when I am ready in the fabrication shop.
Again, not only Marc has been more than accommodating. His staff (template personal, installers, and fabricators) have been so professional and kind. They gave honest suggestions and were willing to work with whatever my vision was.
I highly recommend Stone, Inc. the entire process has been smooth and stress free. The finished product is something I will admire for years to come. Thank you to everyone at Stone, Inc!!!

If there was any way to give 0 stars, I would do it Here’s the update on my brand new marble countertops… The polished finish is now chipping off. I’m no expert in marble so I asked my designer if that was normal. She was appalled when she saw all the chips, promptly took photos and promised to discuss with George. His reply? They are «birthmarks» in the marble. Uh, no George, they are chips in the finish. Natural carrara marble doesn’t have a polished finish. This guy is a real piece of work. His excuse for all of his crappy work is to blame the stone.
Stay away from Stone, Inc. Terrible workmanship and even worse customer service.
