Arandas Mexican Restaurant

Arandas is not the best Mexican restaurant that I have ever visited but it is the one I frequent the most.

Arandas is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Kentucky! Or ever! My favorite place to eat, they know our names and my whole families order.
The food is amazing, they never disappoint and the service is better! My 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son will ask to go eat here and that they want to see Jose!
If you’re new try the Arandas Plate, yummmm!

Well, I’m sure it used to be good.
Pros: The margarita is tolerable.
The beer is cold.
The avocado was fresh.
The fish taco filling was very good.
Servings were ample.
Cons:
Cilantro in my pico was slightly slimy.
Chips were flavorless.
The salsa was abysmal.
I’m pretty sure the flour tortillas are expired.
Beans are runny.
If this restaurant would like to improve, they will need to seriously improve the quality of the presentation and the food.
Focus on the pico and the salsa. Try to make a salsa that is fresh, not something akin to flavorless catsup. Also, the hot salsa has a good heat, but the flavor is seriously lacking. Perhaps when you buy fresh cilantro you can add some to the pico and the salsa.

Restaurant is always busy when we go there. Good food, nice staff. Love their fajita salad.

Going there tonight — in fact the to-​go boxes are still warm, I ordered their kabab and requested it rare to medium rare. The meat arrived at the table well done instead.
Fact of life at restaurants — no matter how good the establishment, mistakes happen. What sets the great from the not-​so-​great places apart is how they respond to customer complaints.
Not only did they remake the meal (and the 2^nd attempt was EXACTLY what I was wanting), but they comp’d the adult beverage I ordered while waiting for the remake. The food was excellent, but the customer service was amazing.
I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend Arandas to everyone.

It’s usually pretty good. Tacos de Carne Asada are good, like you would get at a tacqueria. The rest is Americanized Mecican food.

This place had an awesome chicken fajita salad. I went here a couple times when I was in Frankfort on business. Would definately recommend this place if you’re in town.
