Most reviews here are recent work, please read this carefully. Dr. Pavlik installed braces on my teeth back in the late 1990’s. Granted my teeth looked «great» from the outside and I was happy with the immediate results. I followed his instructions and always wore my retainer and never missed an appointment. Fast forward to today and I have 3 dead teeth that need to be pulled and capped (oral surgery), surgeon said Dr. Pavlik had caused my teeth to move too quickly resulting in root resorption (shortening of roots), which caused the teeth to die. The oral surgeon had seen many cases like mine, almost always being a patient of Dr. Pavlik. Root resorption doesn’t happen right away, it happens over time. I had great looking teeth, however the damage was done. Look elsewhere for a better Dr.

Dr. Pavlik applied braces to my daughter’s teeth, all except her molars, because they hadn’t come in yet. Dr. Pavlik was paid in full for his services, pending when or if my daughter’s molars do come in he will complete the braces process by applying the brackets to the molars which he has already been paid for. In the interim, Dr. Pavlik refered my daughter to a specialist, to examine, why her molars are taking so long to come in. The specialist, recommendations were, my daughter’s molars are just «Very Shy,» stating, «they will eventually come in. My daughter returned to Dr. Pavlik for a follow up appt. and a maintence check of her braces. It was agreed that the braces had done its job and there were no further use for them, so it was discussed to remove the braces, then when the molars do come in, my daughter can return to complete the work and the brackets will be applied, says, Dr. Pavlik. I specifically ask Dr. Pavlik, was there any charges for the brackets, he assured me that the brackets for the molars are included in the original charge of the instillation and maintence care. Now, the molars are in, and my daughter is ready for the brackets to be installed and Dr. Pavlik wants to charge me $ 2000 for the brackets that I have already paid for. His defense is, «It took too long for her molars to come in, so now I have to recharge you.» We are currently filing a complaint with the American Board Of Orthodontist as well as with our dental insurance.

Dr Pavlik and his staff are wonderful. My son and I have only had positive interactions with everyone that works there. I highly recommend this practice.

My daughter has really straight teeth now and before they were just a mess! My step daughter also came here to have her teeth straightened and the office was fabulous about coordinating their appointments. They also dealt with two different insurance companies and different sets of parents making payments on the girls’ braces. They handled it all like it was nothing but their pleasure.
My daughter’s teeth look great, she wore her retainer and came back to see him yearly for 6 years after the braces came off for no additional charge. I am glad she is done with braces and has a winning smile but I do miss the great women who worked in his office.
