Anytime Fitness

Just signed up here. I normally don’t even write reviews but.
Amazing place, nice atmosphere, loving the new equipment and helpful staff. This place deserves this 5 star rating.

Anytime Fitness is a chain so this location isn’t the norm. However…
Management does not work with you in canceling your membership. Took three months to resolve the issue. Cancelled mine, but not my wife’s (who was the one one the phone with them). Called to remedy the situation and got hung up on by George, who was «busy and would call me back». Never took my name or number (making it tough to fix).
Went in-​person: The guy wanted to try and blame ABC fitness and asked why we wanted to cancel, tried to tell me they spelled my name wrong… be careful with this location and its employees.

Taking it down just a notch…
The staff isn’t that great. Cleaning doesn’t get done… bottles of cleaner and towel dispensers are often empty, the back room hardly ever gets cleaned… there’s always fuzz on the floors, mirrors filthy – btw…WHO FREAKING TOUCHES MIRRORS??? Handprints galore and even though it was disgusting, we didn’t wash blood off of one for an entire month just seeing how long it would take for them to clean it. There are the weighlifters who CONSTANTLY drop heavy weights on the floor and we asked the gal employee to get them to stop – her response was «I can’t ask them to stop». So owner man… your floors are getting ruined because she won’t do anything about it. She’s not friendly at all either.
One star for truly being ²⁴⁄₇ (and they do have good equipment), one for the fitness on demand program, one for free Zumba on Tuesdays. Daniella the instructor is nice and it’s fun.

The gym itself is clean and well maintained. I enjoyed being a member for 2 years. THe owner on the other hand has been a problem to work with since I ended my membership. He never canceled my monthly fees after I canceled my membership. I contacted him and he said he would mail a check. He sent to check to the address on file which was 2.5 years old. (He should have verified my address first). I never received a check and contacted him again and he had an attitude with me because he didn’t have my current address. It has been almost 2 months since I canceled my membership and I still haven’t received my money back and now the owner won’t even return my emails.
