Dr. Gil Center for Back, Neck, And Chronic Pain Relief

I wanted to write a review because my life completely changed after I was attacked in my backyard by a neighbor’s dog. He had flung me like I was a little squirrel and I heard things cracking as my neck hit the side of my deck floor that could be visualized like a 2×4 being slung against my neck. Thankfully, it changed again when I started Spinal Decompression therapy at The Dr. Gil Center. I know so many people he has helped in the 12 years I have lived in Franklin.
I decided to email Dr. Gil and have an x-​ray done, which then lead me to a Neurologist who scheduled a MRI. With the Neurologist agreeing, I started the therapy with Dr. Gil Center.
After the attack, I felt my body was curling up in the fetal position and the pain had traveled from the left side of my neck down my body and into my right side that eventually ended up in the back bottom part of both of my heels. I could no longer even walk my 90-​pound dog around the block.
By my 3^rd session at Dr. Gil Center, I was feeling relief. I was amazed! Not only was it working, I was not in pain from the treatments and rarely needed to ice. I could not believe that the backache I lived with for 15 yrs. after a double mastectomy was going away also!
I was learning something from these Doctors each time I went for a visit. I also remember 25 yrs. ago when other Doctors did not utter the word Chiropractor. I feel many people do not understand how they can help you so that is why I am going into detail. If this review helps, another woman after Breast Cancer reconstruction or anyone with chronic pain to rethink the care that they are receiving then that is a reason to write this. Dr. Gil Center is busy all the time, but the reason is that they help people. It works!
I progressed quickly and painlessly, got down to doing 2 sessions a week and now once a week. I am returning to Neurologist July 1 as a different woman. No longer in the pain from the attack and waking up with no backache after 15 steady years has been a Godsend. I did not even go there for that! It was a total benefit of Spinal Decompression Therapy.
I remember telling someone before I started this that I wish I could go back to my Grandfathers farm and hang upside down on the rafters to relieve the pain. I cannot do that so this has been the next best thing. My insurance does not pay for this but it is not the fault of Dr. Gil. That is not his decision that is the insurance company’s policy. I believe if they did pay for it that it would make everyone’s lives easier and this office would be even busier! The cost was not going to change my mind about this therapy after the constant pain I had. This pain had affected every aspect of my life giving me a bad attitude, especially after all the previous doctors I had gone to seeking help. Know your body. Be well. You only live once, enjoy every minute without prescription meds to mask the pain.

This place is great! There are 4 doctors but three are really good: Dr. Carl, Dr. Dearing, and Dr. Gil. I go once a week for an adjustment and I usually have a different Doctor every time but it’s not a problem to request one in particular. When I got pregnant, I started seeing Dr. Carl exclusively because he spent the most time trying to get to know my issues and explaining what the strategy would be while I was pregnant. He made me feel very comfortable with being treated and with what to expect throughout my pregnancy. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they have hired some support staff recently that hasn’t been very friendly. It’s a busy place and I know they’re stressed but they need to keep their attitudes upbeat.

The doctors here are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The only reason its not a 5 star is due to a few support staff that are not so friendly. It is easy to get in for adjustments without notice and it is a quick in n out process. My husbands back def feels much better when he leaves

What started with a golf lesson, ended with a sprained ligament in my hip. Within 3 visits, I was able to walk pain free. Within an additional week, I was able to go from sitting to standing with little to no pain. I’m all about healing without medications and Dr. Gil’s team does just that. If you don’t believe in this type of healing, you should. If you start with pain and walk out without pain, that’s all I needed to know to be a believer.

I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now and it’s one of the best chiropractors I’ve been to. I used to work for a coupon of different chiropractors in the area so I’m very familiar with quite a few practices in franklin. One thing I love about Dr. Gil’s is most of the staff is very knowledgable and current with their chiropractic knowledge. It’s easy for chiropractors to get stagnant and quit learning but not the case for these doctors. Dr. Dearing is one of the innovative doctors on staff always looking to go above and beyond.
The adjustments are great. The level of patient care is beyond what I would expect and I love how personable the staff is.

I struggled to find a chiropractor that I liked. I feel like most don’t really listen and can be rather arrogant. Not the case at Dr. Gil. They listen, offer advice, suggest stretching methods & other treatments to try.
Receptionists are all very friendly and have most patient’s names memorized. They’re also flexible and willing to find a solution that’s compatible with your budget.
Two Downsides:
1) For adjustments, you don’t see the same doctor every time.
2) The darn sign. They have a sign hanging up just outside the lobby that spells «through» as «thru.» It hurts my soul.

I can honestly say Dr Gil is the most professional and knowledgeable chiropractor I have been to, and I’ve been to quite a few. My neck and back have been much better, I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Dr Gil. Has treated me twice so far. I’ve had lower back pain from an accident. This is the first time I’ve had dry needling and it is helping. I wish I lived closer to continue treatment at his office.

This Center Saved my life! Is it going to cost you, yes. It is funny to me how people will go get surgery and pay thousands of dollars for insurance but do not want to spend money on a non-​evasive way to get better. If you choose this route it may take longer and there is no magic pain pill but you will be happier in the long run.

First visit was great, I did the decompression machine and it was only $ 39. On the next visit they dropped a bomb on me and said that the $ 39 was an introductory rate and the decompression machine is $ 190 per visit! YIKES! Who has that kind of money? Oh and I would need 20 visits. $ 3800! No way, so it was recommended that I do traditional chiropractic visits, so I did. They put me on the Tens Machine and then used a handheld vibrator, this service cost $ 55. The next day I went to another chiropractor ($ 40) and they manually adjusted me and I feel so much better now. Only wish I hadn’t spent $ 94 to figure this out.

Dr gil is Great!!! I am giving a single star because of the billing guy. He is never in the office, slow to submit billing to insurance company, and instructs the office staff to collect too much money. THEN will not refund any overages!!! It is illegal what pat is doing. Stay away stay far away!!!
