My favorite brunch place in Franklin! It’s adorable, gorgeous decoration, and the food is incredible. I suggest this also for a place to grab a quick baked good!

This place is adorable! Everything looks so tempting and delicious! It’s exactly what you would expect from a little small down kinda bakery. It’s perfect. I can’t wait to bring friends here!

Noël and I went to Franklin to enjoy a movie at the Franklin Theater. We stopped at Merridee’s Breadbasket Bakery, Noël enjoyed a slice of Pumpkin Roll and Mocha Latte. I also had a Tea Cookie and a cup of Hot Cocoa. We had a nice snack before the movie and I would definitely eat here again. They have a great bakery and the aroma’s was divine. They also make sandwiches and the prices didn’t seem bad. The interior was so relaxing and vintage. I will definitely eat here again and update my reviews.

Have walked by many times, but decided for some breakfast before a walk around Franklin. Glad we did, and will become a regular Saturday morning winter-get-out-of-the-house spot. Stayed away from all the sweet stuff(I have eyes, and I could see what that roll would do to me) and ordered a bacon and egg sandwich, bride had sausage gravy and biscuits. Both totally on point, but the home run was the best cappuccino I have had in Tennessee. Yes, I have been to Frothy Monkey. Yes, this was better. However, don’t be in a hurry. Took us 30 minutes to order and get food, which they kindly told me at the register.

Stopped in for lunch with my daughter and husband. It was very busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Nice atmosphere. Had tomato soup and a piece of quiche. Nothing negative to report.

So I first visited merridees about a year ago while scouting locations to live in central tennessee. The food was fantastic. Everything was scratch made and delicious. My wife and I ordered the quiche and chicken pot pie. Hands down best quiche I’ve had. The pot pie was sold by the slice and just perfect. The place is so welcoming and so are the staff. We fell in love with merridees. A year later we returned to merridees after finalizing our move. The food was once again excellent. In this day and age it is rare to experience a bakery/restaurant that makes all its food from scratch. It’s refreshing to find a place that manages to do so while also nailing the flavor. I hope this place continues to thrive. I know my family will visit frequently.

There’s not a bad thing to say about Merridee’s. A downtown Franklin institution, Merridee’s is always cozy, delicious and welcoming. Be ready to stand in line, but don’t worry, the line moves extremely fast. For breakfast, try any of the hot sandwiches and get the hash brown casserole(if they haven’t sold out of it yet). You must get a cinnamon roll. Must. For lunch, the chicken salad is a cult favorite. And their fruit tea. They have beyond fabulous fresh-baked and ready-made breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, pies and rolls. Pre-order your pumpkin and pecan pies for Thanksgiving. The Christmas tree buns are always a staple in my house for the holidays and make for the perfect hostess gift! Go and be ready for a local Frankin treat! Love Merridee’s and it will love you back!

Drove out here to get breakfast after hearing good things. Got in line well before breakfast ends at 11am. Got to the register at 11:01, and told it’s impossible to make a breakfast order because everything gets switched over EXACTLY at 11. Guess there weren’t other people who ordered breakfast right before us whose orders they were working on. Lost my business and I won’t be back. Ridiculous.

this place is amazing! I had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and I’ve never had such a soft biscuit before! Scones, cinnamon twists, French toast, and omelettes were also really good! The servers were very sweet.

oh Merridee’s.what is happening? Ordered my usual. french dip. The bread is no longer flavorful. i think you use to slightly grill it. And your au jus is usually flavorful. not today! Tomato basil soup was watery and chunky. more like vegetable soup with no flavor. New chef??? Have always loved this place but they need tasty food to stay a neighborhood staple.

Nice place for a quick cozy brunch or breakfast. Wish I could have bought all the bread and pies that were on display. Food wasn’t fussy or pretentious and it was like my mom made it. Highly recommend the French toast.

We’ve been here countless times; I’ve just never reviewed it. Meridee’s is kind of our go-to spot when we are just hanging out or running errands in downtown Franklin. It’s a very dependable place for good lunch or breakfast and a hot cup of coffee or tea. Always super busy so be prepared for that but today we managed to find a table for two had our order in about 15 minutes. I had the sampler lunch of a little bitty scoop of chicken, tuna and egg salad with a frozen cranberry salad and a piece of the best homemade raisin bread. Perfect size and so tasty! Hubby had the turkey reuben, which he devoured so it must have been spot on as well. We will come back here about 100 times I’m guessing. The staff is always friendly and polite. Great place… if they could expand it would be perfect.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. :) My husband and I have created a tradition of going every single weekend. Their specialty coffee drinks are really good. The cinnamon roll latte is our go-to when we want something sweet. The coffee selection is different every day ranging from Regular & Decaf, to Blueberry and Black Cherry coffee. The blueberry coffee is amazing but you never know which one they’ll have because they change them out on a daily basis. Their pies and cookies are great. I don’t really eat pastries but they have a lot of them to choose from that they make every day. I love the peanut butter pie, pecan pie, chocolate pie, coconut cream pie, etc. Their selection of sandwiches are awesome too. and I’m not usually one to go somewhere and order a sandwich when I feel like I could make one at home. but this place is definitely the exception. Their curried chicken salad is amazing, as well as their tuna melt, and ultimate club sandwich is to die for too. All of these sandwiches go great on their tomato parmesan bread — toasted. If you go for breakfast, I’ll get the biscuits and gravy(so yummy) or an egg and cheese [white cheddar] biscuit. Their biscuits, I swear, are better than cracker barrels. And I feel like that’s saying a lot. and WAY better than Loveless Café. Mornings are busy but I feel like you can really feel the heart beat of Franklin inside Merridee’s on a Saturday morning.

My experience at Merridee’s was meh — borderline disappointing. After waiting in a super long line, I thought it could only go up from there. I was mistaken. I ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and a pumpkin chess bar. Ok, let’s start with the good stuff — the pumpkin bar was amazing. I couldn’t stop myself from dabbling in it while I was waiting on my sandwich. Based on that, the baked goods seem legit and worthy of a return visit. Now, on the main event… As I mentioned before, I ordered a turkey club(one of the critical components of a turkey club is BACON — as mentioned on their menu). So, imagine my surprise when I bit into my sandwich and there was no bacon. I asked the waitress for a copy of the menu — thinking that I had incorrectly assumed bacon was a part of the meal. No, I was right — it is listed as the second ingredient on the menu. After waiting so long to get my sandwich just for it to be made incorrectly, I was a little annoyed So, I wave a waitress down(you don’t have one assigned to your table — so it appears to be a free for all) and let her know that my sandwich was missing a key ingredient. She casually mentions, «We’re all out of bacon — and have been.» Understanding that it wasn’t her fault, I mentioned that it would nice if the cashier mentioned that to folks ordering sandwiches that featured bacon. Well, the diners next to me caught wind of it(their sandwiches were supposed to have bacon too) and they were super disappointed. What to do? I ordered something else — their famed chicken salad. Talk about disappointing!!! It was a sloppy assortment of too much mayo(it overwhelmed the dish), a couple bits of celery, and a couple of pieces of chicken. I think they self-proclaimed the status of their chicken salad because I’ve had better at a local fast food place. I also ordered the soup(mushroom, spinach, and curry). It would have probably been amazing if it wasn’t cold. By that time, I didn’t want to bother the waitress anymore with another food issue — so I just pushed it to the side. Needless to say, I’m torn. On one hand, the baked goods were amazing. On the other, the food was below standard.

This placed gets packed during lunch, and for good reason… the food is really good! I love the sandwiches(with delicious bread, of course) and the fruit tea. I think you’re best off hitting Meridee’s during peak rush in a twosome: one person secure a table, the other go order! There are multiple registers, so sometimes the line is a little wonky, but use that time to decide what you want so you can order quickly. The people are nice. Once, when my order was forgotten, a server picked up my ticket and fixed the issue very quickly. Sure, I could have been upset that people after me were getting food before me, but the server was trying her very best. And this is Franklin after all; if you want it to be fast like Panera, go to Panera. Meridee’s is best enjoyed and savored. Meridee’s is a sweet little gem. I really like the apple bacon panini and fruit tea. I prefer coming in when they’re a little less busy, but when you do that, you risk them being out of some of the items you want, as everything is fresh daily.

Merridee’s was such a fantastic find while I was wandering in Franklin, TN today. When I walked into the bakery/restaurant, I was overwhelmed by the options I had. Cakes, cookies, breads, food, coffee. they had it all. What really got my attention though was the huge selection of day old baked goodies for 75cents! Im talking huge cinnamon rolls, scones, slices of pie. This was a great chance for me to buy a ton of things to try. I bought the viking roll– a dense brick filled with dates and apricots. Ahmazing. And if that wasn’t enough, I needed to go ahead and get myself a slice of fudge pie too. I love how budget friendly this place is. You can easily get a couple of treats and coffee for under $ 5. Also, you can buy a whole loaf of day old bread for $ 1.59. And not just plain breads. I was like. what Jalepeno Cheddar for $ 1.59?! I also wanted to comment on how excellent the customer service was. I was eyeing the ridiculous display of cookies… the sweet lady at the register«accidentally» broke some cookies so she could make samples for me to try. Man she’s so awesome. Small things like that bring customers back folks.
