Good pizza, good service but needs to take up the cleanliness factor a few notches. I’ve been in local bars that the bathrooms are cleaner. Those things matter! Have somebody on staff who keeps an eye on the bathrooms and keeps the garbage changed and paper towels and toilet paper off the floor and wipe down the counters every once in a while. And make sure the toilet are working! It’s not that difficult!

Hands down one of the best neighborhood bars around. Yes, it is a family place with amazing pizza. But, it also has an amazing staff as well. I love walking in and the bartender knowing what everyone in my family drinks. The milkshake for my son is already being made before we sit down. We are treated like family and I will always refer this establishment to everyone I meet.

Wow, won’t be back for a while. I’m still waiting for the rest of my side salad, and so is my wife. They have an extensive beer selection, but the waiters can’t describe the differences. We think the Pizza is good — not great. We had the Chicago 7 thin crust.

All I wanted was a Stromboli and I got the worst one ever. Who serves a Stromboli with pickles and French fries? No sauce for dipping, pretty much tasteless and chewy. Very disappointed. Not even sure why I give them one star…

The only way to describe my experience would be with music and a slide show. But since I can’t, I will put it into words. First, we walk in and are greeted by our tall bartender(Megan) she is an angel cat. She suggested great beers and was very knowledgeable on all the beer items! The pizza was perfect! And the jalapeño pretzel was delicious along with the cheese. I will be back every Wednesday night for the rest of my life. If you go to Old Chicago ask for Megan, tell her Aaron and Roland sent you, and you will be treated like royalty!

After multiple negative experiences at the Clarksville Old Chicago i swore I would never go back however after I started working in Franklin I have become a regular here at least 2 or 3 times a month. The pizza buffet is always rotating well, the service has been consistently good, and prices reasonable. Today when i arrived they had an older gentleman seat us who was very pleasant. It was nice to see a restaurant hiring employees from an age bracket that you don’t normally see. Our waiter, Jeremy, was extremly attentive and polite. He did mention that it was only his first day doing lunch service so considering that I would say he did a great job. The only bad mark i have is that when i opened my silverware, the fork was rusted, and i dont mean just a little spot, i mean at least 10% of the blade was rusted. Jeremy replaced it with a fork that was not rusted.

This is a terribly managed restaurant. The staff seems poorly trained and the management staff cares more about talking than actually doing there jobs. The food is decent, but not worth the hassle dealing with the staff and the wait time to get the food.

We had the Chicago Fire pizza. It was great with just the right amount of spice. The chicken Cesar salad was delicious. Our kids enjoyed the lunch pizza buffet. Friendly device.

I have never had the real thing from Chicago, so it is hard for me to comment on how close it is. The Deep pan was very good and tasty though. They put on the pizza a lot of fresh ingredients. I liked it and will try other pizza’s again. We had the meat lover’s type.

My rating is all due to service. It’s hard to enjoy the food there, if you are ignored and treated badly before you get to the food. My husband and I live in Franklin. We have been to Old Chicago several times since it opened there. However, the last 3 or 4 times, we have had this same problem. The Hostess stand. Last night was no exception. 3 girls(young women) were standing at the hostess stand. They ignored us — continued to talk, laugh and cut up for at least a full minute — then one of them — a short, blonde headed woman — turned to us and asked how many. I said 2. Meanwhile the other 2 taller women employees, dressed totally in black, walked away. The blonde told us it would be about 5 minutes before we could be seated — that they would have to clean off a table. Now it was 8:30pm — and there must have been 20 empty, clean tables! I asked the young woman about one of them, and she said well most of the servers had gotten off work and she had to seat us in areas where there was a waiter working. I said oh, so you are about to close? She said, oh no. We’ve got 1 — 2 hours left. ??? I don’t get this. Surely one of those 20 tables would have been close to a waiter/server. At that point — we left. 1. We were initially ignored. I have worked in Customer Service for over 40 years. You don’t ignore the customer. You acknowledge their presence. 2. We were told we would have to wait for a clean table?! when there were plenty available, and 3. Your hostesses have bad attitudes. They always sigh like you are interrupting their conversations, and then they shrug their shoulders. We had not been to Old Chicago in about 4 months — because the last time we were treated this same way upon entering the building. Now that it happened again, we are saying we will never go back. You can get good pizza LOTS of places. There isn’t a shortage in the Cool Springs/Brentwood/Franklin area. We did just that and had good pizza — with NO waiting!

While there’s not a ton of Old Chicago’s in Central Tennessee, this is a large, nationwide chain we’ve eaten at dozens of times mostly in the Oregon, Colorado and the Midwest, where they are most prevalent. In short, it’s average chain food with a fun, upbeat atmosphere and a great place to drink and watch games. The greatest value comes in being open late(2am some nights) and serving food late(1am some nights). We came in at 1am, ordered a pizza, watched Sportscenter and had great service. Old Chicago’s deep dish doesn’t rival the famous pizza in Chicago. It’s a few notches below. Meanwhile, when in Nashville(or Franklin) it’s more than acceptable. We tend to order two side salads, a deep dish pizza and ice teas and enjoy every bite. If this is the kind of meal you’re after, a trip to the bar area(there’s booths here, too), will treat you well. There’s more beer on tap than you can drink, including a few local options, too. Honestly, we’ve never tried anything beyond salads and pizzas here because we’ve been smart enough not to. Old Chicago built it’s chain status on deep dish pizza and simple salads. Order that and you’ll likely return.

Went here twice first time had Rachel she was an excellent server! Had Spaghetti Pie Alfredo with Sausage I would give it a 8 – 9. Had NY style cheesecake which should not have NY associated with that desert. I have had NY cheesecake and this was no where close. 2nd time had an individual pizza meats. Server Megan was below par. They were busy and at the same time she made the experience poor. The desert with cookies and ice cream is below standards. Don’t get a desert you will be disappointed. I would go back and I would request to sit in Rachel’s section.

Simply delicious like every other time. You get your money’s worth and always leave full. Usually there is a long wait but not tonight which is a bit unusual for a Friday night. Great Food, Great Beer Selection and Great Hospitality. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this place… So first off they get 2 stars because pizza was decent, great location and they have amazing bacon dipper thingies. Since it was our first time and prices are super reasonable we started with the bacon jalapeño dipper things I’m sorry I don’t remember what they were called. They’re so good I may come back just to get them. They were also served with this yummy sweet and sour sauce. We also got fried pickles which were okay but I prefer the pickles sliced thin and it was so hot it burned the roof of my mouth. We ordered the Chicago 7 I think which is like a supreme pizza with regular crust. It was pretty good but I mean it reminded my fiancé and me of Pizza Hut so yeah… Now this is where it went downhill. It was Sunday so I understand it’s busy but there were definitely enough servers they all just seemed extremely overwhelmed. I ordered a salad which never came. We ordered the apple dry rub wings and they tasted like just plain fried chicken with no seasoning what so ever. So we asked them to go ahead and toss them with original buffalo sauce and do a flash fry of 10 – 15 seconds to cook the sauce into the chicken so it won’t be all drippy. 5 minutes later… Drippy nasty chicken… Sent back and just asked to please drop it in fryer for just 10 – 15 seconds so sauce will cook into it… 5 minutes later brought new set of wings with no sauce completely unseasoned… Am I having déjà vous? Me: Please sauce chicken and flash fry… Server: Well can’t you just dip it in the sauce… Anyhow… I’m done with this review you get the gist…

Pizza bar gets rave reviews from my wife. Spaghetti was not so much. meatball was undercooked and the $ 2.00 italian sausage was so dry and had the texture of eating a finger(im guessing). Have a look at the silverware before diving in. Waitress and manager made up for it by giving me a cookie .only thing missing was the hug and the awww. see photo

We had a 30 minute wait but I found out why… the food was delicious! Ordered the cheese garlic bread and the Meat Me 8″ pizza and let me tell you, I ate the whole thing. And I’m a little bitty 4“10 something but it was my cheat meal so I cheated! It was so good… The service, however, was not. I should have caught our server’s name but she should have been bussing tables, not serving customers. I had to tell her we needed appetizer plates with the appetizer; I had to tell her when my drink was low and she only came to check on us once the whole time we were there. I believe in tipping but she got the bare minimum. I plan to go back but I will request another seating area if I encounter her again.

I was initially excited to see this location open up. I’ve only ever experienced the Murfreesboro location before dining here. So my expectations were set high as the Murfreesboro location is top notch with fast service and great dishes. And now I can say I was extremely disappointed in both service and food. I even gave this place two more chances to wow me in case it was opening day jitters. Unfortunately it lacks in many areas compared to the other location and may never recover. The Bad: Service on a Monday afternoon, Thursday evening and Saturday night was awful. The wait time to be seated when seats were open was ridiculous. The wait time for an actual server was awful. And the wait time for food was the end all be all. I don’t mind waiting for great food but when the food is mediocre at best, no thanks. Yes, the beer list is great but when you’re here for food and beer I might as well head to a pub. The Ugly: What happened to the food from one location to the other? The food lacks seasoning and feels rushed or hurried to get out of the kitchen even though the wait time is on average forty minutes. The Even Uglier: I’m not painting a great picture here but to be honest I’d visit the other location.

Enormous kudos to Old Chicago — Finally, deep dish Chicago-style pizza done right! Oh sweet bejeezus it was a dream of a pizza. I would marry it. Literally, I would marry this damn pizza, I loved it so much. Put a dress on it, give it a bouquet, whatever. My existing wife may complain about it, but I wouldn’t care. I would gladly become old and grey with her and this pizza… retire with her and this pizza… perhaps live out the remainder of my years with her and this pizza, traveling the country in a large Winnebago. It was that damn good. Gastronomic bigamy aside, everything about our meal was absolutely perfect. Our server(name was Samson I think) was polite, and readily available despite a busy evening, and our food was served promptly. Top notch service! The atmosphere here is great, casual, even a little classy without being snooty at all. No screaming babies or aggravating music, no TVs blaring and bleating something no one wants to hear, let alone see. Prices are reasonable, the menu is diverse, and there is no feeling of being ignored or rushed. I cannot find any fault with this place. It defines perfect. …and, pizza or not, my wife agrees. :)
