I have had sushi here at Sake too many times to count. I want try something different every time but the all of the Tuna rolls and Eel rolls here… and the sauces… and the salad are outrageously delicious. Bottom line. It’s constantly a great tasting Sushi meal and I always feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

This is a decent place to eat. I had the veggie roll and the sweet potato roll(I liked the sweet potato roll better) and my hubby got the bulgogi. The prices seemed a little high to me. My husband said his $ 15 bulgogi plate was good but we both felt it was a bit of a small portion for the price. If I was in the area, I would eat here again but my husband said he would probably skip the bulgogi in favor of a better priced meal with hopefully more food.

Excellent restaurant nestled in a quaint and chilled out environment. Great music, great service. Sweet potato roll is superb. Everything we tried was great and comparable to all of the«hot spots» that cost double the price. We loved it

Real Japanese sushi bar. Awesome sushi very tasty even the roll it self it far more tasty then any other Hibachi grill Resturants. Start with the soup but the portion is a little small, I have to order two court for my self.

Love that they have no rice rolls! Lots of places think this is bizarre when you order. Orange crush is so satisfying!!! –1 star due to sometimes service is not what expected sat in back booth once after they placed us there and did not receive service until 15 – 20 min or so. It was not busy either. Went in for lunch once… Same deal. Sit in view of sushi. You will be paid attention too

Had the best Sashimi, udon, chicken teriyaki lunch at this establishment. Minus 1 for not having large asahi and one lightbulb in very dark bathroom. Nice folks, beautiful sashimi. You know it’s real good when the octopus is FRESH! My girl almost ate the entire bowl of tempura udon by herself.

Quick, delicious, and great specials! This small Japanese lunch hotspot in Franklin/Cool Springs won’t have you stuffed after one roll, but with a large selection to choose from you won’t be disappointed. Roll prices run $ 4.50-$ 14.50

Nothing spectacular… nothing horrible. Overall it was an incredibly forgettable experience. I don’t even really have much to say in regards.

After a bad experience and leaving another place, I remember Sake. I hadn’t been here in a long time but we will be back. I think it is now one of my daughter’s favorite places. For $ 2 less than what that other place wanted for just tempura and rice, here I got very good tempura, an egg roll, 2 deep fried goyza that were wonderful, 4 pieces of California roll, rice, and a salad. Daughter thinks their salad was the best salad with ginger dressing she’s ever had. Also loved the deep fried goyza. Everything was good. They are very friendly, greet you the minute you walk in and when you leave. Check on you. And service is prompt.

Great sushi, quick and friendly service and the prices were fair! There were not a whole lot of customers there which my wife and i found surprising. we suspected they did a great lunch business given the location. There seemed to be quite a few people placing carry out orders. Very good!

Unusual selection of «broiled and baked» rolls, including one with lobster and shrimp, which I found delightfu. Plenty of tiny shrimp, and tasty lobster pieces. Their array of Japanese beers is broader than the average. Friendly, fast, and helpful service in a bright and cheerful venue. Also offers several Korean menu items, which I’ll try next time.

What a disappointment… The food tastes and looks like it was frozen and reheated for presentation. Kani salad was a wet plate of cucumber with one little stick of crab meat. Shumai is clearly not made in house and reheated. Teriyaki is not even grilled with a bunch of bland sauce dumped on it. WORSTOFALL, HOWEVER, is the OLDSUSHI that is disguised with a ton of salt. That is potentially unsafe and I am not risking my health because they are cutting corners. There was also rice in the middle of the roll. What a cheap place, wow. I would never return to this place in a million years.

I’m really torn here. I really wanted to give this place three stars because it’s on the pricier end of sushi(but it is in franklin) and the rolls are downright small. A mildly hungry guy like myself would need three rolls to be full. Sushi rolls run $ 10 – 15, Sashimi is in the $ 5 – 8 range. However, the rolls had excellent taste and were prepared by a true Japanese gentleman, not a Hispanic as most hibachi and sushi restaurants have moved to. Nothing derogatory implied there but it’s rare to see a true Japanese sushi master at work these days.

So I NEVER do this EVER, but my family and I just had THEWORSTEXPERINCE and sat down at one of our oldest and favorite sushi restaurants in Cool Springs [SAKE] that is apparently now under new ownership. Myself and my youngest son already ate dinner so we met my wife and oldest son to sit with them while they ate. The server said that they couldn’t serve us because we are only ordering for 2 people and we aren’t [spending enough] for a party of 4 or more. I shared that me and my youngest were not eating. They said«we are sorry sir, but we can’t serve you because of this rule.» I have honesty NEVER heard of such a thing, and am gladly but stressfully now loading up my two kids under 10 and taking our business across the street to FUJI Sushi and will NEVER be back to SAKE. I truly hope that the new ownership learns how to treat their customers some day!!!

I lived in the Franklin/Nashville area for two years or so. BEST sushi around and the prices are incredible! I can eat my weight in sushi here! This is my all-time favorite sushi restaurant. Hands down.

Stripmall Japanese in a place where it isn’t common to find. I’ve been here a couple times for lunch now and have been solidly impressed. Cool Springs isn’t exactly an area known for great Japanese fare, but this place seems pretty solid. The sake and beer selections are nice(I’m quite a fan of their cold apple sake) and their bento box lunch does make the cut as far as a good thing to grab when you’re able to escape from your office for a bit. What really stands out on their menu as opposed to most strip mall Japanese/sushi joints is the fact that they have a few Korean offerings, which is what I sampled today. Dolsot bibimbap. How I love you. Ricey, eggy, vegetabley, meaty, served in a stone bowl pulled out of the volcanic fires of Mordor. The last bite burns your mouth just as much as the first and you could probably use the bowl to heat your house for a week afterwards. This is how it’s supposed to be. Sake comes relatively close. Sake’s is pretty good, considering you’re ordering a Korean dish at a Japanese place in Cool Springs. It’s also the only bibimbap in town, so there’s that. If you want real Korean, go to Antioch and grab a table at So Gong Dong Tofu House or Seoul Garden. One of my dining partners had the bulgogi(another Korean dish) and she said it was pretty good as well. I like Sake and I’ll be going back as long as I’m stuck in the culinary wasteland that is Cool Springs. At least I can get some fish, some rice, and some sake.

Sake was my Second Sushi today & I really enjoyed it. You can pay $ 18 – 20 per roll up at Wild Ginger and that may or may not come with a side of Music Industry Greatness. I give a shit where Keith Urban and the like get their sushi on — I really liked Sake and for the price, you can’t beat it. First, it’s in a nondescript strip mall — should you need to get yo’ drank on after, there is the super awesome Cool Springs Wine & Liquor right next door. Don’t let the location put you off — these people are serving up some delicious fish! The rolls are cheap — in the $ 9 – 14 range for 8 pcs of special maki goodness. I ordered the Dragon(salmon, avo, crab, other stuff) as well as the Joe(crab, shrimp, tuna, other stuff) and was very happy with the freshness, taste and overall presentation. I was at Wild Ginger for lunch and the rolls here are ½ the price but just as tasty. Service was fast & friendly with only a slight bit of language barrier. If you’re in the area and are looking for delicious, reasonably priced sushi then hit up Sake!
