The Mac Deli

This place was so revolting I cannot believe that they even tried to pretend it was food. Totally not surprised that they closed down because DISGUSTING. Franklin is better off now that this garbage joint is gone!

As others stated, our order was wrong and even though we were charged for what we did not receive, the restaurant offered no solution except for a weak sorry. Hey you took my money for what I didn’t receive and they couldn’t have cared less. We will NEVER patronize this establishment again. I believe they are under new management and here’s a tip, if you want to stay in business, you need to greatly improve your customer service, especially when pizza shops are a dime a dozen around here.

When you reference a specific food (ie: Mac… as in Macaroni & Cheese) in your restaurant’s name… then that should probably be a dish you excel at. As it stands, The Mac Deli has served up the single worst rendition of the plate I’ve ever had… I would take off-​brand boxed M&C over this. Cold, watery, completely flavorless, and topped with unmelted grated cheese. In theory, there were «cajun spices» in my specialty plate… but it tasted more like they substituted it with lukewarm water.
Why this sham of a place would go out of their way to put this off-​brand baby food up-​front and center is beyond me. On top of this, we also ordered one of their specialty chicken sandwiches… which was merely ok.
Either way, even by rando take-​out joints, this place is one of the worst. Avoid!

This is one of the best places in Franklin! The chicken parm is amazing. My boyfriend and I love it here.

Employees are nice. Order steak and cheese with all toppings. Came with steak, maybe a slice of cheese and nothing else. Not worth going to again.

Definite improvements over prior owner. Love their salads, soups, and the gobbler sandwich and the Bella sandwich. The pizza is not that great — basically frozen pizza. The soup is good when it is available (seem to have some problems having it ready for lunch). It would be great if they could post the soup of the day on the website order form.

HORRIBLE!!! waited 40 minutes for a chicken Caesar salad wrap. Go home to eat it and the wrap is all torn apart not even able to pick it up and there was no Caesar salad dressing on it. Awful. It was not even busy either. Never again

My girlfriend and I ordered two specialty sandwitches over the phone and the people who picked up were not listening at all. They were laughing over us while we tried to order it was really frustrating. We picked up our food and it was made incorrectly. No shock there because the people on the phone hardly listened to us. We go to exchange the order and they messed up a second time! We called the manager and he offered a driver to deliver a third replacement. Which is funny because we originally wanted delivery and were told they didn’t deliver even though their website says they did. A very frustrating experience all around.

As I’m writing this Im standing in line here for 30 minutes waiting for my take out order of that I ordered 30 minutes prior to picking up. Everyone is on their phones and not paying attention to the orders coming to the window. And they didn’t know how to make a chicken Parmesan sandwich.

We have ordered form Mac deli 3 times and they never disappoint. The Little Ted is highly recommended and you can tell they use fresh chicken. The Mac and cheeses are really good and also reheats really well. This has become a go to place when we have people over.

I called on a slow weeknight for a delivery order. They said their «delivery person was not working that day». Then don’t advertise delivery! Will never call again.

Took almost a half an hour to get a buff Mac n cheese and «the cowboy». The sandwich was one of those sandwiches that after you take a bite you think hmm… Why don’t I open a restaurant? Cuz anyone can make this same sandwich wayyy better then this place… The sandwich was missing half the listed ingredients and the chicken was rubbery. One more note, this place need to take down the sign above the register that says they take forever to do anything because they make everything from scratch and replace it with with a sorry slow children sign… We saw your cook grabbing the pre-​made chicken out of the fridge… Plenty of other good places to eat in Franklin

Everything from the salad to the BBQ mac & cheese was delicious! HUGE portions. the small is at least enough for 3 meals!!! We will definitely be back. They even have gluten free pasta — a huge plus for us!

Great little place that puts a twist on the old Mac and cheese dinner. Had the carbonara and it was great, flavorful and not to sticky like some can be. Sandwiches was good as well had the Bella and was done just right. It’s a small place that can get busy especially with take out it seems. Staff and pleasant and helpful and prices are average. If your looking for something different to try come here. Pizza is good as well and dough is made fresh everyday.

Went to Mac deli for dinner this evening, and ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. It was cooked to order, and was great. I’ll be in again soon.

Excellent food and value. The Gobbler had a good ratio of turkey, stuffing and cranberry. I’ll be back.

I ordered the special mac&cheese florentine with bacon. It was 8 bucks and in 15 minutes I had a great original meal. The pasta elbows were done right and the cubed chicken was delicious but the giant pieces of bacon really did a great job mixing with the cream sauce.
I was gonna get a New Yorker but I am glad I got this! Too much food I could have shared the portion.

I went in during I think their second week of being open after hearing some good things, unfortunately they didn’t quite live up to expectations. I went with a friend and we both ordered a sandwich and shared an order of Mac n cheese. I ordered the sandwich with the buffalo chicken and steak. The bread was good and the individual components had good flavor but overall the sandwich was very dry. It definitely needed some more blue cheese dressing. My friend ordered the special of the day which was a chicken teriyaki with pineapple and other veggies. I had a bite of his sandwich and it made me wish I had ordered that instead. The chicken was moist and the teriyaki sauce was very flavorful. We shared a small order of buffalo Mac n cheese. The best part of the Mac was the size. Small is definitely an understatement, as it was a perfect sharing portion. The Mac itself unfortunately was the same as my sandwich. Very dry. The flavor was solid but I was hoping for a Mac of the much more gooey, creamy, cheesy variety.
I understand that at a new restaurant there are kinks that need to be worked out. I will go back again with hope of improvements.

We got some take and bake Mac and cheese to try for dinner. My husband and I chose the lobster mac and the bbq Mac. Both were delicious! As a bonus, the take and bake was easy to get ready for dinner. If I had to pick one from the two, the bbq would win!!! The lobster mac was tasty but the bbq pulled pork mixed with the Mac and cheese was so flavorful. I highly recommend the Mac deli.

After hearing about this place serving all kinds of Mac-​n-​cheese, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the buffalo chicken & Italian Mac-​n-​cheese. Both was dry and pretty tasteless but the Italian Mac-​n-​cheese was THE WORST THING that I ever had, Kraft Mac n cheese is ten times better. I might give it a try again when I hear that they have changed their recipe to something rich, creamy, and full of flavor instead of dry, bland, and disgusting. If there was a worst star than one, I would have rated it a ZERO.
