My wife and I needed some minor drywall work done after a leak in our ceiling. The hole was about 2 feet x 2 feet. It took 3 trips out over a six week span and the work was never finished. We had to pay up front(which wasn’t cheap). We finally told them to stop trying to schedule us in and that we would finish the sanding and painting ourselves. We received a phone call appologizing and an assurance that it would ‘get done soon’ but my wife had already finished. Their communication is abhorrent and they are constantly rescheduling and the entire process took over 6 weeks and wasn’t even completed. If you have all the time in the world for the job to get finished, I’m sure they would eventually provide a satisfactory service. If you expect it finished in a reasonable time look elsewhere. And no matter what, don’t pay until the job is complete.

I recently engaged Handyman Matters to do some drywall work and minor repairs on my house when I put it up for sale. They were pretty costly, but I didn’t have much choice. The work was done satisfactorily, if expensively, but there were some other issues. I asked at the time if they would clean up after the work and was told they would. But, according to my realtor, they left behind a lot of dust and debris and I had to hire a cleaner to come in and finish the cleaning. Also, their communication leaves something to be desired; they don’t respond to emails. In sum: The actual work is good, but the customer service could use some improvement.

I called handyman matters to install shields in my exhaust vents(bird nest problem) and they did a great job! They charged what they estimated it would cost(no surprises), were friendly and professional and did a great overall job! I will definitely use them again for any work I need done. –Dave
