Royce is amazing. I don’t get haircuts often, but he understands my naïve expectations of what I want for my hair. He doesn’t rush and truly takes his time to make sure it’s exactly what you want. I recommend him to all my friends and to the Unilocal universe. At one point, I stopped attending Bubbles due to a mediocre job on a color. However, I think things are truly turned around here and am optimistic of the services!

I just saw this place today, read the reviews and did an appointment… I have very difficult latin hair, gets frizzy easily, is very thin as well. I just have to say that I loved this place. Royce did a wonderful job with my color and was able to dry and manage it to perfection! It looks wonderful and survived the humidity. Definitely I’m coming back!

Royce has worked wonders on my hair! Not only mine, but my mother’s as well! He is a master of coloring– a master, i say! On top of that it was hands down the best scalp massage I’ve ever had… i can see why he’s one of the managers here! I used to see him at the Woodbridge location but when he relocated i had to follow him because he’s that good! Also, the location is as out of the way as you can get in central park and there’s a tropical smoothie a few doors down in case there’s a wait.

My husband’s appointment to get his hair cut did not turn out well. The sides of his hair were cut uneven and one side in the back was rounded while the other looked more square. After we left we went straight to the barber next door to get it fixed. Bubbles charged $ 25 for a messed up hair cut and the barber was only $ 13.

Well now my rating has changed unfortunately. The stylist that did my hair did get in touch with me to fix the color. I had 14 days to come back in. Unfortunately one of the days I was going to come in she was off. So I called back today to try and come in tomorrow and she is off. So Wednesday is my last day to go in and I asked to come in that morning and again she’s unavailable due to family issues. She’s only available in the afternoon/evening and I am not. So basically I’m stuck being dissatisfied with the color of highlights that I don’t like, and a section of hair in the very front bang area that has a gap in color. Personally I think that’s pretty crampy customer service. I understand there’s a two week company policy. However there should be exceptions to this. I wasn’t given what I asked for as far as my color. I wanted platinum and got the typical golden blonde… you also have to understand I live almost 2 hours away now AND if I’m having to come back for a stylist to fix my hair because I wasn’t given what I wanted the first time shouldn’t she be available when the customer is? Considering I’m the one that’s being inconvenienced? Or possibly extend the«two week» policy an extra few days considering she isn’t available? Especially when I paid the kind of money that I did!!! Pretty unhappy and very displeased to say the least!

I read reviews and decided to try Bubbles. I had an appointment and when I arrived, I waited and waited. Then I was informed my stylist was at lunch. Then just before I was going to walk out, they said«oh, I made a mistake». So the stylist came out and was pleasant enough. She tried to cut the style in the picture but it didn’t look anything like it. Three days later, I noticed the sides wern’t the same length. So I started cutting. Well, it’s been downhill from there. Please folks, don’t believe the excellent reviews. I won’t be back.

I had been coming here for years and had stayed with a regular stylist. She became busy with appointments when I usually called for a haircut and color so decided to give another stylist a try. I was given Lori. I started color treatments with Lori January 2012 and had wanted to go fully blonde. Of course I understand it is a process. But from my understanding Lori told me I would be blonde by June-July. Considering my hair is only a dark brown I was kinda shocked the process would take so long. I was going back and forth almost every 4 – 6 weeks getting my hair fully highlighted. Even by April 2012, the last appoint I had with Lori, my hair was pretty much just brown hair with blonde highlights. I spent hundreds of dollars with this company and feel like I was completely ripped off. Once my normal stylist moved to her own salon I went back to visiting her. Never will I spend another dime in this place. BEWARE.

It had been 5 months since my last hair cut and I was in desperate need for a trim. Exhausted from finals, I wasn’t in the mood to drive 60 miles to Washington D.C. to get a haircut so I decided to find a local hair salon that could possibly give me a decent hair cut for a fraction of the cost. I had recently looked up reviews on Unilocal and settled — unfortunately — on Bubbles. When scheduling my appointment I made sure to mention that I have really tight curls and I would like a stylist who can manage thick, curly hair. I was assured that there were a few stylist on staff who actually«enjoyed» working with ethnic hair. So needless to says I was pretty damn excited for my new hair cut/trim. Two days and a «trim» later I was highly disappointment and felt mislead. Not only was a charged $ 60.00 for a haircut that was advertised as $ 30.00(yes I understand that more hair = more money, but to double the cost? Now that’s just ridiculous!). But I also walked out with as many split ends as I came in with. Although the stylist was nice, she was inexperienced and could not do hair. Hell, for a shitty $ 60.00 haircut I might as well have spent $ 30.00 on gas to fill up my tank to drive to D.C. for a $ 90.00 haircut, at least I would have left feeling happy. In short: If you have curly, thick, or ethnic hair, steer clear from this place. A waste of your hard earned money.

I really missed my stylist in AZ when I moved here & Bubbles was recommended to me by a friend. I originally made an appointment & they called me & had to cancel as they stylist was sick, so I had to make another appointment. Bubbles was clean & friendly. I didn’t have to wait which was a positive. The inside was modern and stylish. I only went in for a shampoo & cut. The stylist did a wonderful job and the price was decent. Convenient location in Central Park, but sometimes hard to get an appointment there.

It is hard to find a good hair stylist in Fredericksburg. Bubbles is one of the two that I use for my hair. They are friendly, clean, and do a good job.

I decided to try a new stylist this summer. I figured change is good so why not. A friend had gone here before and raved about the place so I made an appointment. I realized very quickly that Bubbles(at least the one in Fredericksburg) double books the stylist. I waited about a hour until my stylist was ready to see me. The color came out very nice but over the next few days I noticed my hair texture had changed and started to fall out. I thought it was some medical condition and made a doctor’s appointment. Well it turned out not to be a medical condition but the lady FRIED my hair. I have been highlighting/lowlighting my hair for about 10 years and never had this problem. I now have to wait for my hair to grow out and continue to use heavy conditioner, which for fine, thin hair does not work well. I will never step foot in a Bubbles again and will never recommend this place to anyone.

It took me many years and many bad haircuts to find Bubbles. When I moved here, I missed(and still miss!) my stylist back home. Finding someone who understood my hair and my style was quite an adventure. I am not a soccer mom and don’t want to look like one! And NO I don’t want the«Kate Gosselin»(really someone asked me that). There was the guy at a salon downtown who reeked of ciggy’s and shook while he cut my hair. There was the place in Central Park that wanted $ 200. But Bubbles(and my stylist especially) is the right blend of hairapy(helping me figure out what will look good, and cutting it WELL) and a good price. The place is clean, friendly, and I never have to wait too long for an appointment. Once, the receptionist even entertained my little one while I got my hair did! How’s that for service! Plus, they usually have coffee brewed and ready while I wait.
