Fantasy Day Spa

Made Mani/​pedi appointments for mom and I as a gift. While the services themselves were fine, the overall professionalism was disappointing. We had the first appointment, so we weren’t initially concerned that the spa was not yet open. After an employee and another client had arrived and we were all standing outside, finally the managers showed up about 10 – 15 minutes after our appointment time. We felt a bit rushed, with the owners hurrying around due to their tardiness. Initially we were told we could only get a basic Mani/​pedi, as we didn’t have time for other options (as we were browsing the service menus the other owner had given us as we say down) then no, we had some cancelations, we have time to do this. I feel as though they should ask which option you want when booking if they need more time for some than others. In the end, the pedicure (tropical option) was great, but the manicure seemed a bit rushed through and the polish edges were a bit sloppy. I was also left bleeding a bit from overzealous and hurried cuticle trimming. Overall, the service was fine for a nail salon but disappointing as a «spa» and as a gift.

Very expensive for an avg. job! $ 40 for a shellac and they make you pay tip in cash or check! There were also someone else’s finger nail clippings at the station where I was having my nails done! I feel bad leaving this review because the staff was nice and friendly and the place was pretty clean otherwise. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

Well I have this place another try because my mother loves Johnny. It is under new management and lots if changes. Not sure if I like all of them. The tech I had in the last review is no longer there. I have been back twice since the previous review and both times seen Renee. I used to request her several years ago and happy with my services. Our schedules started to not work out so I would just take who I could get seeing how mom always requested Johnny. Well to make a long story short I am back with Renee and very pleased. I would recommend this salon and highly recommend Johnny and Renee.

The massage was outstanding. The pedicure great. Eyebrows wonderful. The manicure, well not so much. I got the fantasy day package. The lady that did my manicure the 1^st time failed to completely remove the old polish. I got gel tips. Three days later the gel started to lift and crack so I went back to get it fixed. The lady that did the repair asked me if I was painting is that why I had green on my nails. I advised her that the green was the polish that the 1^st manicurist didn’t remove. She rolled her eyes and continued to fuss with me about my hand position. She finished the manicure and told me that she wouldn’t CHARGE ME THIS TIME! What I got my nails done three days ago! Charge me! That took the biscuit. She was not doing me a favor, she was correcting a wrong. So I won’t be back. I work hard for my money and for someone to discount me is not acceptable.

This is not your run of the mill nail salon – it’s much nicer than any I’ve ever been to, and I guess that’s because it’s not just a nail salon but a full-​on spa. The inside is beautifully decorated and always super clean. The staff is really friendly and personable – they always remember me even though I only go a few times a year when I’m in the area visiting my sister.
The one downside – their mani/​pedi is slightly pricier than what I’d normally pay (basic mani/​pedi is $ 42), but then again you pay for what you get!
