Cinnamon rolls and pecan coffee are delicious. I had the trash taco which was amazing and good sized. My husband got the juevos rancheros which the waitress recommended. It was very happy with it!

Fantastic breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas– yum! Wonderful, homemade cinnamon rolls! Really enjoyed this breakfast on our way out of town!

It’s a gas station and you sit where the pumps used to be. Self service coffee from inside, from thermal pumps. Service 1 star, menu lacking, I wouldn’t come here if everything was closed except fast food. Should’ve asked a local because they don’t eat here.

Omgosh they have the BEST German pastries we have EVER tasted. Way better than old German bakery. I think we’ll come back to Fredericksburg just for this place and their fresh pastries

The cinnamon rolls were excellent. Breakfast tacos were good too. Got both items to go a couple of mornings in a row. I would definitely go back.

Maybe it’s just an attitude, but we have always like this place. It can get crowded at times but once seated, it becomes very comfortable. We have only had breakfast here over the years and each time we look forward to our next trip.

We loved the food here. It had more flavor than any other restaurant we have been to in town.

The food was delicious but the service wasn’t the best. Our waitress was not very attentive. Breakfast tacos are wonderful, as are the cinnamon rolls. Interesting selection of beverages also! Would’ve rated better if our waitress was better. Definitely recommend this place.

Breakfast was ok in taste but service speed is measured in geologic time. Very limited menu so you would think it would be faster. Expected to wait for a table, but after we were seated it was another 15 minutes to get a menu, then 15 to have our waitress take our order. Food came out in 25 and my eggs were cool. The taste of the huevos rancheros was good, but not great. And the whole«get your own coffee thing» is super lame considering your prices. Hey I was tired on Sunday morning too but don’t make it seem like you are doing me a favor to serve me breakfast. You got one shot to get my business. Won’t be back.

We came here on Memorial Day for breakfast. We got the naked(no tortilla) egg, potato, sausage and cheese taco and Chorizo, egg and cheese taco. The portions were large, but the food was fairly average. The coffee was self serve and decent. I really don’t like the location. Seating is outside which could be nice. However, the seating is along a major route and one gets to enjoy the sound of heavy trucks moving by. The patio is also next to a pull up point where locals park their vehicles so they can grab their phoned in orders. A guy with a pickup truck with a modified muffler pulled up and made it very noisy.

GETTHECINNAMONROLL! The breakfast taco was massive and okay. The patio is a little noisy since it’s at a major intersection in town and a little chilly during the rain.

As locals, we visit Mahaley’s often enough to know what to expect. The food is good — it’s a favorite of ours for breakfast and it’s one of the only places that serves a veggie on croissant sandwich. As for the pricing, it is over-priced as is everywhere in Fredericksburg. But the service is consistently AWFUL. It is a nice small facility with a ncie corner lot patio, normally seat-yourself, but you wouldn’t know that due to the lack of signs. If it does happen to get really busy(which it does in F-burg) the waitstaff falls apart. Waitresses wont even make eye-contact much less any verbal greeting. I’ve never seen a waitress move so slow to clean off a table. Oddly enough, their busboys seem to pick up the waitresses slack every time. But the food is good.

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. We were there for lunch and the menu is boring and overpriced. Chips in a bag? Really? The food was overall average, although the Rueben was tasty — although pretty thin. No kids menu is an amateur mistake. There are a dozen better places to go right there on main street.

Saw this little place by our hotel and figured it would be good fuel up food before heading out to hike. The place has small indoor section and larger outside part that had the plastic coverings down and heaters. It was actually too warm in there but when we asked to have the heater closest to us turned off they did it right away and it was really nice. Coffee is a little self serve bar, but it was good coffee! Breakfast tacos! I got the sausage and it was really good. Normally I take out the potatoes, but I didn’t and was happy that it wasn’t overloaded. The salsa was really good and just the right amount of heat and seasoning. My fiancé got eggs and bacon and said the bacon was lacking. It was really crispy, but not burned. Now for the cinnamon rolls!!! The menu says they’re «famous» and I could totally believe that. They’re delicious and I basically ignored my taco to make sure I ate the whole cinnamon roll. Not surprising since this place seems to be a bakery too, so it makes sense that it was really good. We will go back!

Second time was a little better than the first. The poached eggs were cooked by Chef Mike(as in microwave), but weren’t overcooked. The potatoes are definitely from a bag and the bacon was the saltiest bacon I have ever eaten. But the fruit was fresh, the service much better, and we did get our silverware. We had to ask for it, but we did get it. We ate on the patio, which was a little noisy, but not terrible. What WAS terrible was the pick up truck right in front of the patio that gunned its engines for about 30 seconds so we were eating fumes along with our breakfast.

This place serves the breakfast to the Main Street B&B and Cameron Inn so I haven’t eaten in this restaurant but had the breakfast they delivered. GROSS! Picked up breakfast immediately when it was delivered. Just ice cold scrambled eggs and some fruit. When I called them and asked for something different they said they had a rotating menu and that’s what the breakfast was. They did make me some new eggs and threw some potatoes on the plate but were rude about it. I’ll have to think if I can even recommend the Cameron Inn and Main Street BB just because of this place. They did remake me some eggs so I have them an extra star.

This little place is just wonderful. The owner greeted us and made sure we were comfortable on the patio because it was really Cold outside. We moved to a table under a heater and we had a great lunch. We both had the chicken enchiladas and they were AMAZING!!! Service was also great. Plus, it’s a pet-friendly establishment which is a little hard to find. You can trust this one! ENJOY!!!

While leaving F-burg one early afternoon, I stopped at a restaurant that was highly rated in Unilocal only to find out that it didn’t serve lunch. I figured I would grab fast food on my way out when one of the workers getting ready recommended(weakly) Mahaley’s. He said it was nothing special but it had solid food. He perfectly described it in one sentence. Back up the road I went. I circled the block once before noticing that they had their own parking behind the restaurant. That was sweet as things in the ‘burg were getting crowded. I came in and folks were busy with one large, extremely noisy table. I had to figure out that I could seat myself. I sat on the patio which would have been much better if the 11 people at one joined table weren’t trying to over talk each other about their historic moments. I had the Texas root beer and avocado bacon cheese burger. The root beer was in a bottle with a glass of ice and was great. The burger was a standard bacon cheeseburger with the fixings and drowned avocado slices. It was nothing great nor terrible, but simply straight down the fairway. It came with fries which were just the same. On the way out I had a snicker doodle cookie. That was the best food item I had. The only disappointment(other than the obnoxious party) was that the solid food was a few bucks north of $ 20. Perhaps I should have ordered more frugally, but the place didn’t deserve a plus sized Jackson.

We tried Mahaley’s because it was on the short list of places that accepted our B&B’s breakfast voucher. After scanning the less-than-glowing Unilocal reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the good service and quick turnaround of our order. We each had a breakfast taco(a misnomer, really, because they are burrito-sized) and split one of their delicious cinnamon-pecan rolls(sharing is key because they are otherwise a little too sweet to wolf down solo). While it isn’t exactly gourmet fare, we left perfectly satisfied.
