I had an absolutely awesome experience! I went in there a couple of times totally undecided but once I found a dress someone was selling online I called right away to see if they had it. They did and come to find out I got an amazing deal on it, and it was being discontinued so it’s a one of a kind on my day! Being a bride to be is stressful enough but even more stressful is ordering a dress off line and not having a clue what it looks like in person and for the team at simply modern bridal to give me the confidence it would be perfect I went for it! I had such a good experience with simply modern. I had previously tried dresses at David’s bridal and didn’t see anything I liked and even felt pressure in getting a credit card from David’s even though I didn’t find anything I liked! Came to simply modern on a whim with my sister we didn’t have an appointment but after talking to the Nicole about what I really like she showed me a dress she had in mind. I tried it on and it was everything I wanted. Didn’t want to make any rash decisions so I made an appointment for the following week. I tried on about 7 dresses but it all came back to the one I originally had tried on. I had only gone with my sister being it was a Monday morning and most people were at work the staff made me feel so comfortable and beautiful in my dress. It made it special. There was no pressure in anything and they even offer a payment breakdown so you don’t have to pay in full at the time of saying yes to the dress! Which I personally loved that because I had to pay for my own dress. Overall a great experience and I would do it again if I had to.

I am not sure why Simply Modern has such bad reviews but it has 5 stars in my book and if I could give more stars I would! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and helped immediately. The girl helping me was extremely nice as was the owner Theresa and all of the other ladies there as well. The dress that I wanted was not able to be ordered in time for my wedding so the owner sold me the floor model, which was in excellent condition! I’ve been to a few bridal stores and all of the dresses were full of makeup stains and just disgusting but every single dress at simply modern was beautiful, clean and in excellent condition. Not only were the dresses in excellent condition but the service I received was beyond excellent and I honestly felt so comfortable and at home there. The dress was a little small for me so Theresa recommended getting a corset back put in and I couldn’t be happier. She immediately called Natalia(the seamstress) and here I am 4 days later and my corset is in(and looks AMAZING) and we are taking measurements for the hemming. In two weeks I will be back for my final fitting and I know without a shadow of a doubt I will be in love all over again! I felt like and was treated like a princess and I am beyond pleased with Simply Modern Bridal and I definitely recommend this shop to every future bride out there!!!

I traveled from Richmond, VA to Simply Modern to try on the Angela Nuran bridal shoes. They are a bridal ballroom fusion shoe that are made for dancing and very comfortable. I wanted to try them on before I paid for them. They were very helpful and informative about shoes and the different styles she Angela Nuran offers. I ordered my shoes but found out a couple weeks later that the pearl buckle was on back order so I was feeling a little panicked because I needed the shoes for my first dress fitting and to finish our dance lessons. Let me tell you they work miracles! She made sure I had my shoes in time with the buckle I needed and they are perfect!

This was the first store that I tried when I began looking for a dress. I walked in with my maid of honor and the two ladies were very helpful. My maid of honor and I were not planning on finding anything since no one else was with us, she wanted to take me so that I could at least pick some sort of dress style and narrow down the search a bit. I went back for the second time last week with two bridesmaids so that they could pick out dresses. This appointment was NOT even meant for me whatsoever but one of the bridesmaids wanted to see the dress my maid of honor and I were considering so I tried it on. I had so much trouble getting my mom in the store with our conflicting schedules and she happened to be in Central Park at the time. Score! So my mom and dad stopped by and saw the dress totally unplanned. One of the girls that helped me the first time immediately started putting on the pressure of ordering the dress. She made me feel a little uncomfortable at the time since my parents and I were still in the early process of looking but I tried to brush it off. I went back the store for a third time with one of my friends who knows a lot about tailoring and sizing. I wanted her to see how it fit around my hips and see what her thoughts were. Meanwhile, I am still between dresses at a couple of different shops, which is something I’ve made completely clear to the sales girl. I even went as far to say«You guys can help the other brides, I’m only trying this on to show my friend, I don’t want to take you away from other customers.» This girl goes on to say«So are you thinking about ordering this dress yet you’ve been looking at this dress for a while now». I thought that her comment was extremely pushy and borderline rude. Even my friend was put off by her tone. I realize that you work in a wedding dress shop and that you see multiple brides a day but this is my ONCEIN A LIFETIME day and it means a lot to me. The fact that they try to push sales so hard just makes it unbelievably clear that they couldn’t care less about you as a person and your happiness and just want their commission. I left very disappointed. Meanwhile, I’ve gone to some other shops around town multiple times and the girls seem genuinely involved and helpful and have never ONCE pressured me on ordering the dress.

I have to give this place two stars because the customer service is pretty bad. There were only two employees the day I went and even though I had an appointment, I was left alone for 10+ minutes at a time so that the employees could deal with some tuxedos! Ultimately, I found some jewelry to purchase, but get this: I went to check out and the woman at the desk told me I’d have to wait cause because she was doing paperwork. Um, OK. Thanks for making the customer a priority! Then I went to pay debit on my credit card, and the woman told me she couldn’t do that. I asked why and she said«Well, they just charge us phenomenal fees when we do that». Oh I’m sorry– since I’m making the purchase shouldn’t I get to decide how I pay? I can’t believe she told me flat out NO. Don’t you want the purchase? Don’t you want to help the customer? Clearly not. Not going back.

I do not recommend Simply Modern for any bride. The customer service was terrible. One employee complained the whole time of a stomach ache and the consultant helping me was very aloof. She didn’t ask me any questions about my wedding as far as location or date. It was a very cold experience and I cut the appointment short because it was so terrible. It was comical how awful the consultants were.
