Tacos Chicanos

The al pastor is excellent, lengua is good and carne asada is ok. Best authentic mexican food that we have found in virginia within 60 miles of stafford. This is a close second to the Oakland and Los Angeles taco trucks where the food is the best because of the high mexican population.

These guys are super friendly.
Their carne asada smells like carne asada, not just some random steak claiming to be carne asada. The smell drew me into them. Plus they are a food truck so I trust it more. It seems to be that Mexican food on the east coast that is served in a restaurant like establishment is usually not real Mexican food.
After tasting it… Holy shit. The best carne asada if not only carne asada in VA. Freaking delicious! Meat is a bit tougher than it should be, but it actually has the correct flavor.

Everything was prepared fresh on the spot. We got two meals, each with three tacos, rice and beans for 16 dollars. Great flavor and good service. They only take cash so I had to use the ATM but it’s steps away in the gas station so no issue. There aren’t any menus other than what’s posted on the truck but the owner made it easy to order for us. We plan to head back and try everything they offer. They also gave us a business card and said we can call ahead an order.

Best burritos and tacos in the area hands down. I was born and raised in southern California, so getting a huge burrito for a few bucks stuffed with meat, beans, and rice was great. After moving to Virginia I have been unable to find that authentic California, can hold in my hand burrito until now. They have Carne Asada, Lengua, Carnitas, Al Pastor, etc. Burritos are $ 6 and are huge. The tacos are great and run $ 2.50. They also have a few other menu items, but once I saw the burritos and tacos that is what i ordered.
Do not let the fact that this is a Food Truck scare you. The food is great, and for you California transplants, it is just like home. I dont know if they are open every day or just on weekends, but they are right in front of the Gulf Oil gas station. In any event, for 3 big burritos and three tacos the total was about $ 25, but remember these are very large burritos, and not smothered in sauce or anything.
