Advanced Endodontic Associates, PA

I was referred to Dr Berger by my dentist regarding pain from a root canal treatment that I had done on a molar. Dr. Berger took a scan of the tooth. Not only did he fail to see a missed canal but his recommendation was have the tooth pulled with an implant. I found an endodontist in Manhattan (for a second opinion) who saw the missed canal immediately on the black and white X-​ray as well as a copy of the scan that was taken from Dr Bergers office.
Of course, he was able to successfully retreat the tooth. Dr. Bergers office insisted I pay for the CONSULTATION in full and was unwilling to negotiate. Not happy. Endodontists are supposed to see missed canals as they are the specialists who have the special expertise to do so. No new scan had to be taken by my endodontist in the city. He knew where to look and he saw it instantly. Let me also mention that I went to see Dr Thai in the Ocean office regarding sensitivity to hot an cold near the tooth that had the failed root canal back in March. She did a hot and cold test. Of course charged me for it. Turned out my endodontist in the city took a very quick peak at the tooth and saw tooth decay and it’s nothing more than a cavity. As it stands I have to wait until this year for treatment from my dentist as my insurance has been more than depleted over this fiasco. I’d be MORE than happy to send you proof of what was done. But only if you agree for some reimbursement as even the consultation charges were not even slightly accurate or satisfactory.

Suffice it say, that was the last thing I needed to hear from our dentist. Making that news worse, his dentist said we needed a specialist in pediatric dentistry. His dentist referred us to Advanced Endodontic Associates in Freehold NJ. The staff and Dr. Apolito were wonderful, professional and VERY pleasant. They made the experience far better for our son than I remember from my own experience at another location.
I wouldn’t wish a root canal on people I don’t like (well, except one or two). If that is what life brings you, I recommend you run to Advanced Endodontic Associates!

At a very young age I have developed a fear of the dentist because my childhood dentist was a bit rough and hurt me. It took me nearly 30 years to find a dentist that I liked. When he told me that I needed a root canal that he wasn’t comfortable with and referred me to an endodontist, all of those childhood fears came back. I stumbled upon Advanced Endodontics by accident. They were the only Endo group near my home with open appointments that took my insurance. All i can say is THANK GOD I found them.
Dr. Apolito was able to calm my fears and explained what need to be done. He had a great bedside manner and was able to perform a difficult root canal with little to no pain. This difficult root canal was no more painful that getting a small filling. The entire staff was great, very friendly and responsive to my questions and concerns.
Its been a couple of years since I had the procedure and thank goodness haven’t needed Advanced Endo’s services since. If I ever do need another root canal, Dr. Apolito will be my first call!!!

I decided to upgrade my review because I was really impressed that the owner took the time to respond to my review publicly and privately. He didn’t ask me to change my rating. I appreciate that he cares about his patients enough to respond to their comments. I’m even more enthused about recommending them. If I have to go back to them for a future service, I won’t hesitate.
