Blackbeard’s Motorcycle Gear

Purchased an Akoury helmet. Very friendly and knowledgable. I dealt with them over the phone because I live in NJ. Next time I’m in Long Island I will visit the store. I highly recommend the shop.

I recently went into Blackbeards Motorcyle Gear Shop because I needed to borrow or buy an iPhone 6 cable and block. I wasn’t under the impression that a Bike shop would sell one, but may have one to borrow. Being that I do ride and I was riding, I would go to my fellow family members. I met a woman, Pam for the second time. The first time she was amazingly friendly and that goes for this time as well! Pam was very helpful and even called the convenient store down the road to see if he sells what I needed. She went out the way for me even knowing I wasn’t going to buy anything. Her boyfriend (the other owner) was very polite to me as well making sure my White Kawa Ninja 650R would be okay since I left my helmet unattended. As I got back to BlackBeards, Pam had a very warming conversation to me about the shop and the items she sells in the shop. The leather jackets and vests are beautiful. I personally love the shirts because they are nice and cozy looking — plus fairly priced. There is a great selection of gloves, patches, helmets, pretty much everything. Although, I didn’t buy anything this time — I will certainly be going to purchase something next time I have my car on me. Also, they have Motorcycle Parking for up to 15 Bikes I believe! Which I believe the Nautical Mile needs more because we love that area! Thanks Pam and it great talking with you and your boyfriend! Be Safe!

Very nice/​cute shop on Freeport’s Nautical Mile. Staff is friendly/​pleasant/​helpful. Prices are moderate, depending on what you’re looking for. They’ve also got some cool merchandise that you may not expect. Worth checking them out.

Came here with my best friend looking for something with the Blackbeard’s logo on it. I ended up buying two tshirts, one full price and the other was part of a really great promotional sale they were having, and my friend bought a sweatshirt. The owners were very friendly and funny, helping us out with shopping and helped me out with a fitting room. We got there almost right before closing time and they didn’t rush us or make us feel uncomfortable like some other places would. Wish we had more time to look around, the jackets and boots looked really cool!

Great Place! A must stop when your on the Nautical Mile. Needed a new helmut and the time they took to assist was fantastic and I also picked up some new glasses and a few other accessories. They have a lot of stuff to choose from. A really pleasant experience. First time there and the owners make you feel like a long time friend.

I ordered a Helmet online and the regular UPS delivery was delivered within three days of the order. I had some issues that sometimes arise when you make online purchases and their customer service was excellent. They communicated with me as soon as they received new information by phone and was more than willing to help out any way they could. I would definitely recommend them to anyone

I struggled with the number of stars for this review. I would have preferred to give it 3.5 stars, but until Unilocal deigns to allow the half star, I’m giving the benefit to the business.
This oddly located motorcycle attire and accessory store is smack dab in the middle of the Nautical Mile in Freeport. The selection of motorcycle attire is unparalleled outside of an HD dealership and luckily less expensive (though, not by much.) I’ve purchased a few items here — a neoprene face mask, a cargo net, a low-​profile «novelty» skull cap, etc. The prices were far higher than one would find online, but with the benefit of being able to try the items on it may be a worthwhile visit.

Great store for biker clothing, leather jackets, helmets, boots, patches and accessories ! Very neat and fully stocked, and whatever they don’t have they will order it for you. The owners are very friendly ! will definitely go back !!
