Found this diner by chance. It was very clean and modern looking. Waiter was very good and quick. The food was excellent. About the only negative thing I could say was that it was a little pricey on some of the food items.

Best diner ever! Seriously ! The food here is always fresh, fast and delicious. I’ve been coming here for years and have yet to order something I didn’t enjoy. The place is clean, cheery and super inviting. The staff is so nice! They always accommodate us with a smile and thank us for coming. This diner also just incorporated a pretty impressive pick up /drive up window so you can order anything you want and have it ready or stop in for a quick snack to grab on the go for work Etc. Fabulous for people on the go or if you don’t feel like cooking. I tell everyone out of all the options we have for food on the south shore, this is my go to place. We always bring family here and they love it too. If you’re looking for a cheap /mediocre diner this isn’t it. The portions are large, here and You def get what you pay for… A delicious quality meal. Pay them a visit!

We had lunch here on a Saturday. Nothing special. My daughter got he imperial diner wrap. She was not impressed. I ordered the chicken Thai salad. The flavor was nice. Grilled chicken was decent. Heavy on the dressing. Nice size salad with fresh greens. Server had an attitude but he might have been having a bad day? It was pretty inside and a/c was working great!

This used to be my favorite diner until I got a horrible server. He took forever to come and take our order even though we were the one out of two tables in his section. Even after he took our order, he never came back to check on us and then when he brought I food, my order was wrong. It took him forever to get the right plate. Then he took it upon himself to add 18% gratuity onto the bill, which he did not deserve. When I went to pay I told the manager that I left the tip on the table so he asked the waiter to either get the tip and give back or leave it and take it off the bill. So of course the waiter came back with the money and I told the manager that I didn’t want to give him that much because he didn’t deserve it and the manager responded with an attitude and refused to take the gratuity off the bill and charged me for it. I’m not going back there for a while! Waiters name is Victor, make sure you don’t get his section!

My wife and I went to Imperial Diner after the problem with Adams Rib being closed. We were seated quickly but the diner was very empty especially for a Saturday night. We found out why pretty quickly. The prices for every item were sky high especially for the area the diner is in. Dinners were around 20 dollars on average and had only a soup or salad NO dessert. This is Freeport, Long Island and not Manhattan. My wife who was very hungry decided to order a chicken dish. We were told by our waiter William that there will be a 20 minute wait for the chicken. My poor diabetic hungry wife decided to wait the time for the overpriced food. William came back 25 minutes later and said it would take another 10 minutes to get our food. I decided at that time to leave and quickly get some food for my wife. This type of treatment is UNACCEPTABLE and UNSATISFACTORY and I am very unhappy with our experience. The price to value ratio is WAY below average for this type of diner. I will NOT be returning back in the future.

Great diner, always crowded. Great food.(A little pricey) My #1 tip, if they try and seat you at one of the tables in the bar area, tell them you will wait for a table in the main area. It always seems that the wait staff in the bar area is slow and has attitude

$ 13.50 for an omelette for a diner? Guess I am paying for your recent renovations Here is a picture of what one of your competitors gives you for that $

Came here last night with my friends and had a great time. This diner is so clean and updated. I was really craving grilled cheese with french fries with mozzarella cheese on top lol.(such a fatty). Anyway the service was great kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. She was wonderful. There is a big parking lot in the back and it is definitely one of the best diners I have been to in a long time.

Excellent diner in convenient Freeport. Parking is plentiful as the lot has just been freshly paved. Hostesses seated us quickly in one of the two spacious and pleasant dining rooms. Service is polite, they don’t rush you and slam plates down and run away like at some other places. The food is plated well, looks as good as it tastes. I had a luscious chicken salad club sandwich with fries; and my friend had a yummy steak panini with waffle fries. Everything looked just delish!

It was a Thursday around 2PM when me and my coworker walked in. You are greeted right away by a friendly host who right away said«Welcome» and took us to our booth. She then said«Are you on lunch?» As to imply if we were on lunch she would make sure that our food was at our tables quickly. I liked that. We said«yes» We had some wine and breakfast. Weird combo but it worked. Their french toast was fluffy and so fresh. Their eggs were perfect. Their bacon was crisp, yet soft in the right spots. It was a really good breakfast at 2PM. The wine was great to have in the middle of an afternoon. It was rainy and gloomy outside however this spot was bright and sunny. When we paid the gentleman was so sweet. They were very attentive and I like that. I would definitely return.

Lapin and I made came here on Saturday for a quick breakfast. The diner had tons of parking available even super late in the morning. We waited a bit to be seated but the place wasn’t packed. It was mostly because there was one person handling the bills on one side of the entrance and on the other side a hostess was seating patrons. We probably just missed her so we had to wait for a bit. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was pretty much on par for any other diner. Lapin ordered french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice(a bit small for the price) and coffee cause he was just nibblish. I ordered french fries, scrambled eggs, toast platter. Our food took a bit of time to come but they came out warm. The bathrooms were decently clean which was nice.

This is by far! My favorite diner! At the entrance they have assorted plants and has a feeling of freshness before you walk through the second set of double doors. This place is always clean! Their bathrooms are spotless as well. They have the tastiest food! Their waffles, pancakes, breakfast, sandwiches, salads, lunch food, dinner everything is so good! Every server that has helped us is always polite, respectful and anticipates any need that may arise. It’s a must every time I’m in LI to dine here!

This is the absolute best diner on Long Island that I have ever been to. I’ve never been disappointed by anything I ordered. If you get something with fries and like them crispy, ask for them WELLDONE. Amazing.

There’s nothing remotely Star Wars about this place, but that’s the first thought that fell out of my brain, so bear with me. Probably one of my favorite stops in the galaxy. I didn’t see many off-duty stormtroopers because they were out looking for rebel scum. I was hoping to grab a bite along the commute from Long Beach back to the hotel near Woodbury, so I let the trusty Unilocal Search work out the dinner destination. It was also a good excuse to let the notorious LIE traffic ease up too. It was worse than an asteroid field. Oh, Imperial Diner is on the radar? Perhaps they have the food I am looking for. Parking around the city in general can be a headache for some places. Fortunately, Imperial Diner has a free parking lot, so you don’t have to waste time circling around the block hoping that your hyperdrive doesn’t break down. Hungry was I, so dinner consisted of: Greek salad, spanakopita, chicken parmesan, and a side of spaghetti. I know it’s odd, but I have an affinity for the spinach pie. Some people go for chicken or gyro, but I’m a spanakopita guy. Fun to say and neat to eat(remember to check between the teeth afterwards). The diner provided a nice, fresh portion. I’m used to getting a tiny square, with the phyllo and spinach sadly dried out. The chicken parm was delicious too. Nicely breaded cutlet, with a fair amount of red sauce and baked-on cheesiness. This would make for a quality sandwich too. Service was very good. The waitress was friendly and patient as I mulled over menu selections and helped me with suggestions. Drinks were refilled and plates promptly cleared. She sensed a disturbance in the Force like a Jedi Master and brought the to-go box for leftovers before I asked. If this older security code checks out and I’m granted access to the Empire State again, I just may return to the Imperial Diner.

Always have a good experience here. I’m on a matzoh ball soup binge recently and honestly, I’ve had better. Broth was only warm and quite bland. I had a small(not so small, really) Greek salad– which was very good. Dressing was yummy. My friend had a $ 17 entrée called the Greek chicken and it was outstanding. Definitely recommend it. Good salads and big sizes. The other disappointing factor was that they charge for soda refills– c’mon! 2.50/glass of soda is really ridiculous

I had breakfast at this diner with a friend after an hour of hot Yoga and I was starving. The diner was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside. I loved the fact that they had a nice sized parking lot in the back of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I ordered the jumbo challah french toast with a side of eggs and cheese. The challah bread was good but was too thick for me and I prefer the regular bread french toast style. I really didn’t like how most diners just throw two slices of cheese on the eggs. I have to remember to ask fir the cheese shredded in the eggs if possible. Overall I had a great experience at this diner and would definitely return. Next time I would request to sit at the booth with the mini jukeboxes so I can jam to some music while I enjoy my food.
