I was a bit nervous to go to this shop after reading some of the reviews but I needed some beads for my niece. I was pleasantly surprised. The women behind the counter greeted me when I came in, informed me about their current sale and offered me a tray. When I checked out she was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this shop to others. The selection was fantastic and the prices were reasonable.

Beads store is my favorite place in Fremont hub. Amazing collection of beads in different shapes and sizes. All the time there is 50% off on all items. They give wholesale prices. They carry very good quality of rubies and emeralds and also fresh water pearls. They give very good discounts and Women working there is very helpful. I will recommend my friends beads store in Fremont hub is the best one with lots of new collection all the time. Huge collection of precious and semi precious beads and also gem stones available. They have beautiful jewelry with lots if designs… I feel excited seeing all the beads and selecting on my own rather than ordering online.

Wow! For those of you who like to do their own jewelry, this place is heaven on earth! Amazing selection of beads of all sizes, shapes and colors. Great selection of very affordable gemstones, pearls. They also have a lot of chains to choose from. They have a great selection of the ‘good stuff’, and the prices I’ve found to be very reasonable! Customer Service: — The owner seems nice. They give discounts based on the amount you spend which is awesome customer appreciation. The girl who is working there every time I’m in, is always friendly when I’m there and very helpful. parking near the store is very easy. But for me, Beads at Beads will definitely serve the purpose for my needs, and I love this place.

I was completely astounded by how terrible the customer service was at this shop. I’m an avid jewelry maker and can spend hundreds on a single bead shopping trip, particularly gemstone beads. I can buy all the beads I want online at sites like Etsy, but I like to support local independent businesses when I can. And this day I had two friends with me who also drop a lot of money on beads. The Bay Area bead stores know us well. So we were excited to learn about Beads at Beads and had every intention of making it a regular destination. They had an extensive selection and very reasonable prices. But we couldn’t even buy anything. When we arrived the front counter was crowded with a group of women looking at beads. My friends and spent about 30 minutes making our selections and went to the counter to pay. The single employee was still busy with the same group of women. So we waited, along with a lone gentleman who also appeared to be waiting for help. And we waited. And waited. And waited, for almost another 20 minutes. The women at the front counter weren’t even purchasing anything yet, they were just looking at beads. The gentleman left. And we waited. And finally we abandoned our trays full of beads, and we left. I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning that the employee and women at the front counter were all Indian. My friends and I aren’t, and maybe we just weren’t welcome there. That’s their right, as a private business, to decide — I’m just sorry I didn’t know beforehand that they didn’t want any of my money, because I wouldn’t have wasted my time. By the way, though they accept credit cards, I overheard the employee saying that the prices were higher if you pay with credit. Again, I guess that’s their right, but it’s also a pretty scummy business practice. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I don’t plan to return. I’ll do my shopping on Etsy.

I was so excited to find that there was a local shop who carried gemstone beads as there is something much more fulfilling about handpicking your own than ordering them online. I will say I had a little bit of difficulty finding the place at first since it is tucked in between the rows of large chain store business, but wasn’t too hard once I found the alley way that connected the two rows. I was in heaven with the selection available and prices were very reasonable. I arrived there sometime around 1pm on a Sunday and I was the only customer. The woman working there, not sure if she was an employee or the owner, was very helpful in letting me know their current 50% off sale and the general prices of each area I looked at. It is a smaller shop, but packed with a large selection! Huge selection of acrylic beads in all different colors and cuts. Many semiprecious gemstones such as quartz(rose and smoky), amethyst, lapis lazuli, tourmaline, onyx, etc. Large section of freshwater pearls as well. My only disappointment was a lack of tools and accessories for jewelry making otherwise this would definitely be my one stop shop! I brought home a beautiful string of 40, 10 mm jasper beads to incorporate into my jewelry designs. Normally priced at $ 24, a steal at $ 12 after the discount! Hoping my new designs fly off of the shelf, so I can high tail it back here to stock up! Highly recommended for the beginner gem enthusiasts and jeweler!

Saw this small shop while getting some bundt cakes over by the Fremont Hub. At first I thought it was closed because there was hardly any lighting and no one to be seen. The Indian lady working there was sitting down behind the glass display case and didn’t even bother to get up when I walked in. Obviously they have a lot of beads and necklaces that are purportedly handmade. They also have some Indian jewelry, all very sparkly and beautiful. I walked in just to browse around but while I was there I remember that one of my watches was missing some of those little diamonds and I approached the counter to ask the lady if she carried anything like it. She didn’t say yay or nay, she just pulled out a tray with a few tiny plastic bags and just put them in front of me. Didn’t even bother to ask me the size or bothered to get a few out of the bags. I didn’t have the watch with me so I tried to recall the size of the stones and bought a few from different sizes. I wish she would have been a little more social and perhaps I would have given this place five stars but oh, well maybe next time she’ll be in a better mood!

Beads. BEADS. BEADS! That is what you will find here — strands of gems(the A and better rubies, emeralds, and sapphires are kept behind the counter), semiprecious, and crystal, at great prices. You will not find: findings(that’s a little beader humor), tools, or a big selection of focal beads. They have a nice selection of multi-gem and multi-color(tourmaline, sapphire) strands too. They are still running a 50% off sale; discount is off the tag prices. There’s also a good amount of pre-made sets, in the Indian syle(yellow gold, enamel, bright stones). Service is polite but reserved and they gladly accept cards.

Bead-at-Bead has gemstone beads available at Bead Show prices. I met the couple who own this store at the San Mateo Jewelry & Bead Show. They had good prices there and they have great prices in their store. Pros: The prices are incredible; I got a 16″ 6 mm Amazonite strand for $ 8. Currently all beads are 50%, that includes some great briolettes – always expensive. The shop is very bright, spacious and easy to get around. Lot’s of sparkly Indian jewelry. Cons: The quality varies; A to B & C grade strands, no AAA grade stuff visible but the for the prices you can’t argue. Very few, as in almost none, findings, wire & metals. It’s a hard to shop using the paper plate as a tray, so if you’ve got a tray you may want to bring it with you. They do have a website but it’s terrible. Seriously, if I could redo it, I’d do it for free – it’s that bad. Caution: If you’re looking to get your bead chat on this isn’t the place. The owner will answer your questions, she’s knowledgeable and clear about policy, but basically minds her own business while you shop. So if you’re serious about buying supplies forget the love-fest and handle your business. Definitely recommend it.
