Nothing like a piping hot, delicious chorizo burrito to warm you up in the morning. So excited I found this spot! It’s right in between my daughter’s daycare and work and is one of the only places that’s open early, so it’s a perfect stop to load up on breakfast and/or lunch for the day. My life would be complete if they also sold chile verde with rice. I need to ask next time!

Solid, authentic taco truck frequented by Latinos so you know it’s legit. Cheap, flavorful, made to order. Only complaint is they ran out of carne asada so had to get barbacoa on my fries instead. Fries: interesting; never had such a dish before. Very filling, fed 2 ppl. Eat it quick or it gets soggy. Taco: had the beef cheek. Very nice! Add the green sauce and hot sauce. Overall: cheap, quick lunch if you’re in the area.

As a San Diego transplant, I am always looking for Mexican food that compares to some of the taco joints down by the border. After the first 3 years, I pretty much gave up. During those 3 years, I probably went to 30 or 40 different Mexican restaurants trying to find something close to the ones I’ve had in San Diego. Now, for the last 6 years, I’ve only been to a handful just because it’s become a fruitless search. Until now… I came to Guanatos, just because it was close to my new job, it had a 4-star average, and they had one of the staples of San Diego Mexican food, the beloved Carne Asada Fries. For those who don’t know about Carne Asada Fries, it’s basically a bed of french fries, topped with marinated carne asada, and a few layers of guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. While the version at Guanatos isn’t spot on with the ones I’ve had in SoCal, it did have the essence of it. First time I’ve had that in the Bay Area without having to drive to Adalbertos in Fairfield. Now, they do have one of the other SD favorites, which is the California Burrito(basically, Carne Asada Fries wrapped in a tortilla). A little too much fries and not enough meat, but still good. I’ve also had the Carnitas and Al Pastor, and while they were good, I’d stick to the fries, just because it’s hard to find a good version up here. Lastly, the service is pretty damn awesome! Yes, I know it’s a truck and you shouldn’t expect much, but that should give you an indicator of how good it was. While I expect not-so-friendly service from trucks like these, the folks on here are so cool that it actually stands out.

$ 6.00 for regular barbacoa burrito. Third time here. Visit 1 good, visit 2 not as good … this visit back to pretty good. A little overpriced but best bargain I’ve found in the area for a good burrito.

They make real good burritos and tacos with a variety of meat options. My favorites are lengua, carne asada, and carnitas.

One of my favorite places in Fremont. I just love street food and these guys deliver the real deal. I usually order tacos and I’m instantly reminded of the street food in Mexico. Fast and friendly service, they actually remember what I usually order. Highly recommended!

Decent food, but definitely not memorable. Huge portions and its good for lunch. Not to mention they accept CC, so you dont need to bring cash when your hungry.

Can I say that Guanatos Tacos continues to kill it? Their carne asada are all-time. Amazing flavor, not greasy, great use of contrasting flavors and texture… the hot sauces are excellent too! I challenge anyone that thinks they know their carne asada to come here. Feel free to message me if you have secret carne asada spots, I always am open to improve. Service was very fast and friendly. The location only has outdoor seats, go figure since it’s a taco truck not an actual restaurant(would be nice if it was). They do have parking spots but it’s one of those parking area’s where you can park how ever you want to park. They have tissues and hand sanitizer out side the truck so you could grab a lot of tissues if you’re a messy eater and also clean your hands before and after eating. The pricing is the standard buck fifty per taco. I still have yet to try other things they offer. Once I have this will be updated.

A friend suggested that we go grab a California burrito for lunch. I’ve been living in California for 40 years, why have I never heard of these things before? We got the carne asada with guacamole. California burrito does not have rice or beans, instead it has French fries. The burrito weighed like 5 pounds, and was insanely yummy. Now I need to make up for missing this for the last 40 years.

Was in the mood for a burrito for lunch and Unilocaled around. Wanted something new I never tried before and noticed this place. I always like to check out every place at least once and taco trucks never disappoints! From the first bite of my asada burrito, I knew this place was for real! Authentic and delicious! And what sealed the deal for me was a bottle of Sriracha. I’m a sucker for Sriracha and put it on EVERYTHING. Disappointed to find no avo/guac in my super burrito hence the 4 stars.

Great place to grab a quick bite! Very fast service, had a burrito al pastor, it was big, and very good! One of the better taco trucks in Fremont! Best part is they take credit cards.

Just got a Carne Asada California burrito that was everything I hoped for: meat, fries, cheese, a few minor others, a perfectly toasted tortilla and the size of my forearm. $ 6 and 1500 calories well spent. Quick service, awesome food, local business. What’s not to like?

Best food truck aroud for sure! They have an extensive variety of very tasty food at a reasonable price, they have daily home-style dishes like chicken mole, chile verde, steak ranchero etc. They have everything from carne asada fries, shrimp burritos, fish tacos, bbq pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, huevos rancheros for breakfast, chorizo and egg burritos, super nachos, vegan stuff like veggie burritos, potato tacos and cheese empanadas and the list goes on and on, my favorite is their pastor soft tacos and the torta de pierna(spiced pulled pork sandwich). I highly recommend this place, the staff is very friendly so yes they deserve a 5 star rating.
