Hidden gem!!! Definitely a must! My husband and I both had steaks, steaks were de-lish! And coming from us who are in the cattle business believe you me its hard to please my husband’s steak palate! The menu has a yummy variety from steaks salmon to a specialty macaroni plate, Loved the flashed fried Brussels sprouts! Try the meat & cheese plate for an appetizer. Wonderful atmosphere and I’m sure even more entertaining in the summer. Perfect for any party large or small! It’s only 30 mins from Omaha. If you wanna try something new this is the place!

The Wood cliff Restaurant is a gem in the area. Great food. Reasonable drinks. Lodge type homey atmosphere. If you like Duck the Duck pasta is great. Good steaks. Great Dailey fish specials. Home made desserts. Huge covered patio over looking the lake to dine on nice days. Bring the kids to feed the fish and ducks. It’s worth the short drive.

Came to the Fremont area for a business trip and this was BYFAR the best food we had. Comparable to the best restaurants in LA, but not nearly as stuffy. Our server was friendly and attentive. The salmon was cooked absolutely PERFECTLY. May have been the best salmon I have ever had! If I ever return to the area, I will definitely be returning. with friends!

The Woodcliff Restaurant is, hands down, the very best in the entire Fremont area. The staff are friendly and prompt, fluent in all things menu-related. The kitchen is speedy on even the busiest of nights. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, classy but casual(not too uppity, in other words). The food is always top-notch and the menu changes seasonally. As usual, the appetizers were excellent. Onion rings: very thin cuts of onion, breaded and fried, not greasy. We also ordered the prime rib taquitos as well; they were maybe just a touch on the greasy side but very flavorful and not skimpy at all! My new favorite entrée is the pork belly. Seriously, if you’re a fan of pork belly, run to the Woodcliff and be ready for an explosion of well-thought-out flavors. Served with a citrus gastric, sauteed greens, and polenta fries, I could have licked the entire dish clean! The gastric cut through the fattiness of the pork, while the greens added an earthy element. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their new entrees!

I have gone to Woodcliff Corral for years. They always had awesome chicken and catfish. Recently it changed hands and became the Woodcliff Restaurant. Two of my nieces wanted to try sushi, so I took the 18 year old and it was quite the adventure. It was winter and road was tore up so we had to go all the way around Cedar Bluffs almost and back but that turned out to be a blessing. The restaurant was virtually empty except for us. Our waiter who I believe was from Hawaii was very knowledgable and very patient. He explained the dishes to us at length and showed us how to use chopsticks. The food was very elegantly arranged and very good. We especially liked an item called Balls of Fire or something like that and the edamame. We ordered some wonderful chocolate cake but we should have just split one slice. A very nice dining experience. They also have a nice deck and you can feed the huge fish in the lake from the deck. Call ahead to confirm Sushi Night, it’s either Tuesday or Thursday I believe.

Top notch. Classic. Delicious. I had gone up to the Woodcliffe for appetizers and drinks before, and had always admired the setting(a stylish classic family restaurant on a lake — complete with open dining room, fireplace, large windows, nice deck, and traditional bar.) The appetizers were great — - portabella mushroom fries — yeah, thats right! sliced up pieces of portabella, battered and fried! AWESOME onion rings — perfect, sliced really thin — lightly battered and fried. these are super tasty, served with a great dipping sauce and are not greasy at all! for those of you who have been to Lee’s chicken; they remind me of their onion rings, but with half the grease. I will always get these when going back! Then a couple weeks ago, M and I went up for dinner — and we were certainly not disappointed. On Sunday, they offer ½ price bottles of wine, and we chose a nice Malbec. They have an actual sommelier who knows his stuff. I’m no wine expert, but the selection was varied and the Malbec we got was excellent. We ordered the onion rings, sipped our wine and soon our main course arrived. I had the special of the day, which was baked salmon, served on top of a tempura battered crab cake, curry cream sauce and a nice portion of steamed broccoli. I cannot stress enough how delicious everything was from top to bottom. I wish that the crab cake was endless, the cream sauce was drinkable(although i wouldn’t have called it a curry per say), and the salmon was cooked to perfection. I was in food heaven for the time… and although I knew the Malbec wasn’t the best choice for salmon — it served itself well. M had the Portabella burger and fries — and seemed very happy with everything… and it looked perfect and i stole a couple fries and enjoyed them. Dessert was not an option after such a filling meal, so we declined and finished our bottle of wine. Great food? check. Great service? check. Knowledgeable staff and diverse menu in a extremely comfortable and classy setting? Check. It is well worth the drive from Lincoln or Omaha to come spend some time here, and I couldn’t recommend it more. And for those of you who live in Woodcliffe — you guys are truly lucky! What a gem.

Although it’s a small journey from Omaha to the Woodcliff, it’s very much worth the country drive. We started with breaded portobella fries, which were great. Then I had a delicious steak, and my wife had excellent pork loins. The dessert was amazing. Rob, the sommelier, was friendly and helped us pick the perfect wine for our dinner. Although the wine list covers already covers all the basics, Rob said he is growing the wine list every week and should have several pages of selections in the near future. The menu is seasonal and locally sourced when possible. All this would be enough, but add in the fact that you can eat on a covered deck right on the lake, and you have a restaurant that’s an all-around winner.
