I’m giving five because it’s worth five and here’s why: they do farm to table and locally sourced. And you can watch a sports game. And they have great beer. AND I saw some BBQ smokers out back(they didn’t have them fired up when I was there). But seriously they ran out of chicken wings because they only get so many — fresh, never frozen locally sourced chickens — that is awesome. The food I had was fresh and delicious. I’m so glad I drove a few minutes off of 80 to eat at this«hole in the wall». Good shiz. I’m going to this place again.

The service received here was good and the waitress was attentive. The food on the other hand was not that great. Our table ordered a few Reuben’s, Chicken Wings(Medium), Fried Mushrooms, and a side salad. The wings, mushrooms, and salad are what you would expect and nothing to rave about. The Reuben’s on the other hand are easily the worst I have ever had and should simply be removed from the menu. The meat was like a thin ¼″ patti and had absolutely no taste, the sauerkraut was not flavorful either, the crust used was also a measly ¼″ thick, and lastly the 1000 island dressing was served on the side and not on the sandwich. We also had some of the mead that was on the specialty tap menu for the day/week, though a little pricey it was really good. I should add that I checked in with Unilocal and the app presented a $ 1.00 off specialty tap drink coupon. I inquired about if this was applicable to our beverages since they were actually listed on the“specialty tap” chalkboard. I was told that it wasn’t and only applicable to the Stout that was listed, on the same board. This is false advertising and is a bit odd that they can choose which beverages are applicable at their will, though they are listed on the menu referenced within the coupon. To me, this is just wrong. Lastly may not be the best environment for babies/toddlers since there are no changing table facilities.

Great craft beer selection, always new brews to try, best wings in town. Make sure you try the new food concept on Tuesday nights and the out door concerts are a lot of fun. This is probably the coolest bar in Fremont. Join the Hayes Memorial U. M. Church here for Bible and Brew on Wednesday nights at 8:30.

Stopped in on Tuesday night — «Burger Night». The owner promised a masterpiece and delivered — Maple Bacon Peanut Butter Burger. Cooked perfectly and the combination of bacon and peanut butter was phenomenal. Décor is awesome — old photos of local sports teams. Owner makes sure you’re happy. A must if you’re anywhere near Fremont.

Love time out. I am a local, and visit at least once a week. It nice living in a small town and going to catch up with all of your friends. If you happen to be in town on a Tuesday ask about the burger special. Dean generally focuses on local ingredients. In addition he works really hard to have an excellent selection of rotating beer offerings. He even gets stuff nobody else(or I should say very few people) can get there hands on. And don’t be afraid to start a conversation about it, lots of great people come from far and wide to talk beer! The best thing about the place is that is is completely unpretentious, small laid back place doing two very important things well… Food and beer! Cheers!

Stopped in tonight for a beer and some dinner. Really surprised with the selection of craft beers on tap, and the serving of them. Proper glasses, great craft temp of the beer and some brewers that I would not have expected to find in Fremont OH. Had a couple of beers, talked to Dean the owner about what else, craft beer. Had a great hand formed burger with grilled onions and chips. Van Ness’ Time Out, is already saved as a favorite in the GPS. I will be back.

If you are a local and haven’t been in a while and/or, if you are just in the area and are looking for something other the Crapplebees, THISISYOURPLACE! I have lived in larger cities and Fremont, Ohio does not know what a gem they have in The VTO! First of all, I must admit to being a total beer snob. This place delivers with 5 rotating taps and multiple 12 oz. bottle and 22 oz. bomber selections. Craft Root Beer too! Now, on to the food. Tuesday night is the night to go for unique specials. Check out their Facebook page for upcoming offerings with the last Tuesday of the month being vegitarian night. Don’t laugh, veg night usually sells out! Other specials during the week and of course a Friday night fish sammich offering. Catering is also offered. I was at an event where they provided smoked pork and Salmon. It was killer! You will not reget a trip here and will wonder why you didn’t stop sooner. Oh, and don’t miss saying hello to Dean, big dude behind the bar. He’s a bigger beer/food geek than me and is always willing to talk about the place.

This place totally reminds me of some of my favorite haunts from college… it’s just that classic, comfortable bar with good food, servers who know you, and a great selection of beer. I, however, am not a regular — as I do not live in Ohio — but a friend is and we jaunted over during a recent visit for lunch. She raved about their food so I was intrigued. We split a few apps… this place makes some great chicken fingers. Yes, chicken fingers. They’re obviously fried, but seemingly not breaded … quite perplexing. But they tasted great, had a nice crispiness, and that Asian sauce they serve is pretty delish. … Wooo chicken fingers… I know… but wait… It was here that I, as a lifelong Michigander, learned that I have been food-deprived all my life. As a faithful Reuben sandwich disliker, I avoid all things corned beef and sauerkraut… and ordering a Reuben with just cheese, dressing and bread might be a bit odd, but I digress. Bottom line, I despise sauerkraut. Until now. Three words — fried sauerkraut balls. I know it sounds odd(or it did to me), but holy crap, Michigan needs to get on the BOAT with these things. They’re almost like a sauerkraut meatless-ball, with some breading as a binding agent, and loads of sauerkraut. And then, if they weren’t amazing on their own, they serve them with horseradish aioli. And by aioli I mean mayo… semantics… Apparently this is a Fremont, Ohio-area thing, as there is a local sauerkraut factory… but this is a bar staple and I begged to order them at just about every restaurant we went to that weekend. Even the ice cream places. I miss these. Must make. Or locate. Immediately.

This is a great little local sports bar. Their wing night has a good value and comes with a ton of tasty wings. I am partial to the boneless, but obviously it’s the sauce that makes the wing. I highly recomend this and enjoy the local décor!
