This is best pizza around. Crust and sauce working in perfect harmony. Try to eat at the counter, you will agree with me. eat it hot and fresh.

Just as good as everyone says! This pizza was soooooo good I went from wanting to eat one slice to ending up eating 4 slices! Which is definitely a problem lol. Me and my friend got a large plain pie on a Monday and it ending up being only $ 11 which was a steal. To be honest the plain cheese slices that they had sitting there looked really old and gross. I’m glad we got a pie and I suggest you do the same.

a year ago this place was some of the best pizza in NYC, it has sadly gone downhill. The crust is chewy oil and gummy, not crisp as it once was, and this is a sampling of 4 times in the past month. There was an older man who was always there with two helpers, it seems he’s gone, and the pizza quality is gone too as the helpers do things the wrong way. Lets help save this institution, and not loose another pizzeria to the wind, this place was once great, sadly.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 6 Décor: 4 Value: 10 Overall: 8 My best friend and I decided to test out three of Unilocal’s most highly rated and popular pizzerias around the Flushing area — Amore Pizzeria, Lucia Pizza, and Brother’s Pizzeria. We have been to all of them before numerous times, but never on the same day, let alone the same meal. The goal is to find our definitive favorite pizza joint for this neighborhood. To be fair, we got one regular slice from each pizza maker during busy lunch time, and consume them within 15 minutes of each other. Here are our findings. For me, everything that makes up a great slice is important, however nothing is more crucial than getting the crust right. On this day, Brother’s Pizzeria slightly edges out Amore by a hair if I had to pick, though both were fantastic. They were super thin, just the right amount of crispiness, and a deliciousness that’s hard to describe. On the other hand, Lucia was a distant third place since its crust had a thicker and doughier texture, along with a bland taste. Crust: Brother’s = 9, Amore = 9, Lucia = 6 As for the sauce, Amore had plenty, Lucia was second, and Brother’s had the least. Yet, you can over sauce a slice and make it too wet as well. So the flavor of each sauce played a large role in determining this victor. Due to it’s super zesty sauce, the clear winner for this battle was Amore Sauce: Amore = 9, Lucia = 8, Brother’s = 7 Lucia had the most cheese, a bit more than Brother’s. Though Amore had the least amount of cheese, it was more gooey and had way less oil compared to the other two restaurants. For this category, we both gave it to Amore Pizzeria by a little bit even though we would have preferred a tad more cheese. Cheese: Amore = 9, Lucia = 8, Brother’s = 7 In the end, a perfect slice of pizza is the chemistry of all three parts working in synergy to produce that unforgettable bite. It’s hard to represent the quality of pizza with a number and it could be different on any given day. However in our case, it did match the order we would rank the three pizzerias. Lucia came in third because of that slightly better than average crust. Brother’s need to improve on their sauce and cut down on the oiliness. I have had somewhat average pizza at Amore before. Yet on this day, they were the decisive champion with a nearly perfect slice that will be in our memories for quite a while. Overall: Amore = 27/30, Brother’s = 23/30, Lucia = 22⁄30

The quintessential New York slice! I stop in anytime I am in the area. For the truest NY Pizza experience, sit at the counter. The friendly staff and classic décor will take you back in time to when your local slice joint, was more than just a place to grab a bite but rather a place to truly experience neighborhood. Besides the slice, I hear the meatball parm is terrific. I wish I lived closer to Brother’s as it would most certainly be my regular spot. If you consider yourself a NY pizza aficionado put this on your list. You will not only be pleased, you will be back! Enjoy!

Great ‘Old School’ Pizzeria… pasta is served in a plate, where it belongs, not as a pizza topping.

Very cool place. How could it not be since it’s been around since 1963? And the wood paneling interior confirms that! Love the Italian manager on duty as well. But you can’t eat atmosphere, so I had to order up some food. First came the meatball parm hero, which was just terrific. Crunchy/soft Italian sub roll, plenty of sauce and cheese and some amazing meatballs. If all the heros(sic) are this good, I will be back to try them all! But we were here to try the famous pizza, and while it was good, it was a little bit of a let down, because due to all the glowing reviews, I expected it to be great. Again the sauce and high-quality mozzarella cheese were fine. The sausage on the pie was excellent as well(and obviously fresh-made). But I had a real problem with the crust. This place fell into that classic trap of using oil in its crust, which made it crunchy instead of soft and pliable. It’s just the wrong consistency for NY pizza. And it was too thick as well. But that didn’t take away from the fun of eating here. I will be back to try more«heros» and maybe some pasta as well. But I might have to skip the pizza, which makes me sad.

One of my 2 go-to pizza places. Pizza’s great and they’re open late, so can’t complain! Really fast delivery — usually gets there a lot faster than they say it will. The only downside is it’s cash only. Otherwise yum!

My favorite pizza! I crave their pizza and can easily eat three slices in one sitting! I always get their garlic pie, which has actual pieces of chopped garlic on top, which tastes phenomenal! The pizza is always fresh & piping hot! The staff is very friendly & professional. I always come here when I am in the neighborhood!

Updated review due to concerned owner’s feedback. Still probably not going back though. — — — — — — – This pizza is crappy — literally! I’ll never set foot in here again. I search queens for the best pizza far and wide and found Amore’s pizza in college point to be the best in the northeast queens area(although they are not friendly). My bro in law had raved about brothers pizza so I gave it three separate tries. The first two times I was very unimpressed. The only thing that I thought they did well was the crust. The cheese was of a cheaper variety and there was very little red sauce both times. This third and last time, just a few hours ago, was the worst. The guy who served me looked like a teenage stoner who didn’t care about what he was doing and just shoved a pizza he heated for literally 5 seconds in my face. It was the worst texture I’ve ever had in pizza. the crust was goopy and gooey. It was terrible. I ate it anyway because I was hungry and I didn’t have time to eat a single other thing all day and now, hours later, I have the runs pretty bad! I went in to the pizzeria at 4pm so I suspect the pizza had been sitting around for a while. In which case the pizza should have been heated fully.

Love the pizza and really reminded me of a neighborhood pizza joint growing up. The cheese pizza has the right combo of texture, sauce, cheese and thin crispy crust! Pizza the way it such be… simple & delicious! Monday night special of $ 10/pie is unbeatable!!! The owner is nice & friendly… Thanks for serving the best pizza in town!

Absolutely love this place. Probably some of the best pizza in Queens. 4.5÷5 stars. First off, this is the legitimate cozy neighborhood pizza joint where all the locals go. The owner is super friendly. They’ve been open for more than 53 years! It was $ 15 for a gigantic original pie. On Monday nights, they have $ 10 pies. Make sure to bring cash. We came here on Saturday morning at 11 right after it opened. The sauce was amazing, but the dough was a little less crispy than we liked. I think that might be because we were one of the first customers of the day, so the oven might not be 100% heated yet. Overall, love this place. Would highly recommend for a quick slice.

I had a plain slice which was fantastic; perfect amount of cheese and sauce ratio. The garlic knots aren’t anything to go crazy about but when asked for marinara sauce for them they supply a generous portion and boy oh boy that sauce is everything!!! Im not sure why they don’t take card but it always disappoints me a little when a well established place doesn’t take credit/debit cards.

*CASHONLY* Their pizza is delicious! A regular slice is $ 2.50 and today I discovered pizza with fresh garlic as a topping(maybe $ 3 for the slice with the additional topping?); absolutely delicious. There are 8 bar stools for you to sit at inside(as well as tables) where you can watch the pizza man make fresh pies right before your eyes. Drop by here if you’re in the area and craving pizza because the people here are super friendly and the pizza is delicious.

I’ve been going to Brother’s my whole life. It was my local/neighborhood pizza place and it remained as such even when I moved a little further away. The owner has been there since inception and I’m talking like 30+ years. I love seeing him there making the pizza all these years later and it’s the same pizza I ate when I was 5 years old. The pizza itself? It’s good! It’s also reliable. Never overly greasy, the sauce has good flavor, the crust isn’t too thick, and has good crunch. You know you’re getting decent pizza when you go there. There’s a reason the business has so much lasting power. Mmmmm now I want pizza.

Brother’s Pizza is the epitome of pizza in the Queens area. Between this place and the other famous pizzeria in flushing you’d have a hard time finding a better slice in Queens. This place is CASHONLY, but is definitely worth a trip to the bank. Make sure you get fresh garlic on your slice, decades better than the dried stuff. There is a Mets heavy influence on the décor here, but even Yankees fans will appreciate what a great slice this place has.

I have some friends that live in the area so I have past by this pizzeria several times. It always smells so good from outside so I could imagine how good the slice taste. Well I finally got to try it so I no longer need to use my imagination ;p It’s definitely a no frills, tradional pizzeria. It reminded of pizzerias where I grew up in Bensonhurst. The slice was really good. The crust was crunchy and the sauce was on point. A slice cost $ 2.50, which is about the normal price for a plain slice in NYC. It’s hard to find a good pizzeria in Queens. I definitely recommend this place for a quick and cheap bite to eat if you are in the area. I will be paying them another visit soon.

This pizza shop has been around for many years but its very easy to miss. I’ve been living in this area for a long time myself and never noticed it. i heard about the Monday large pie special on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. The place is a bit run down and not very big but feels very old school. That being said it was still clean in appearance. They have counter stools which is something I haven’t seen in years. I figured since they have been around so long the pizza can’t be bad. Their large pie honestly seems more like a medium but for $ 9.99 plus tax it’s still not a bad deal. We came in and ordered right away and were told it would be ready in 10 minutes; and it was. The dough was good, the crust was on the thinner side and appropriately crisp. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. This is one of my biggest complaints at most pizzerias so I usually order pies with extra sauce. I ordered it regular this time to see what their usual pie is like. They put the right amount of sauce without having to be told. The sauce is slightly sweet with mild hints of spice without going too crazy on the oregano. I grabbed a menu on my way out as well. Brothers Pizza rates well in comparison to the competition in the area and for the value I think it’s totally worth a return visit.
