I go to Carol’s when I need a quick restock on my classroom supplies. Although they do have a large variety of supplies, I’ve noticed that they are a bit more expensive than other teacher stores such as Lakeshore. Probably because they are a Mom & Pop store. For me, Carol’s is more convenient because it is a minute away. They downsized recently so the store is way smaller than it used to be. They have the essentials for teachers: charts, borders, bathroom passes, you name it. They also have a big sized laminator which comes in handy for charts. Try to park on an inside block to avoid having to pay for the meters. Parking on Union can be a pain. They also close pretty early! Try to head there before the end of August to avoid the back to school rush!

Heard about the store and decided to stop by to pick up some school supplies. the staff is friendly and very helpful. I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for but it didn’t stop me from buying other school supplies for my classroom.

I don’t shop here anymore. They are overpriced. Also when looking for test prep books, the sales woman was trying to sell me books that were outdated. I tried to explain that I was looking for the newer version and she kept insisting that there’s wasn’t any thing new. I rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the other teacher store.

This is the only school supply store in the area that I know of so by default its mandatory that I go here. The items are pretty expensive here BUT on a brighter note you will find what you are looking for and the employees are super helpful. One young woman asked me on several different occasions if I was finding everything okay. When I assured her I wasn’t she did all that she could to show me everything I asked for and point out all the different varieties of them around the store. Everything is neatly on display in the store and all the bright colorful stuff make you want to buy it all even though its a bit over priced. It’s a nice atmosphere with supplies, friendly staff, and all that a teacher may be looking for… the prices and the lack of parking are the only downsides.

If you’re looking for teaching stuff, this is probably the place you want to go to? I add the question mark at the end because at this point, it’s really the only place I know of. The space looks big, but the first half is a lot of toys and definitely geared towards Early Childhood/Pre-K. The second half definitely has a bunch of charts and visuals for varying ages groups, mostly for middle schoolers. I didn’t find exactly what I had in mind but the staff was quick to help me wade through the multiple racks of charts to find close to what I wanted. I’m not sure if I would buy a books here it seems like you can find better deals online but for smaller things or if you’re a Pre-K to Primary teacher this is probably the right spot.

I love shopping here, has everything you could possibly need for kids: toys, books, learning materials, etc. Lots of creative activities for kids, I always find what I’m looking for and they are very accommodating. I recommend this store to lots of my friends, they are also the perfect store for teachers.

Carol School Supply is the best«teacher store» in Queens. All teachers in the area know about this place. It’s the go-to spot for bulletin board borders, classroom charts, resource books and manipulatives(for you non-teachers, that means stuff like the little plastic teddy bears you used when learning to add). They also carry a nice assortment of interesting educational games and toys. For that reason, I recommend this store to not only teachers, but parents, too. Parents, If your child has special needs or is struggling with multiplication, visit Carol’s. The staff is knowledgeable on their products and children, so they can show you things you can but that can help them make progress. You can — and should! — bring your child to this store and see what they show interest in. There are no action figures here but I promise you, they will find something(s!) they will want. This is a great alternative if you are getting sick of Toys R Us and as a bonus, you will feel better about how you spent your money. The prices here are standard. Parking can be a pain but make a left right after you pass the store. You should be able to find side street parking but it may take one or two times of going around the block. Not a huge stress, though. Teachers and parents/caregivers, check this place out. You may even buy something just because it made you think back to the good ol’ elementary school days. Something like a little bell for your desk?!
