We believe in supporting local businesses and therefore when Northern moved into our neighborhood we couldn’t have been happier. We have been using Northern for years and have never been disappointed. From redoing our kitchen to getting air conditioners, to buying tv’s and grills, to recommending the store to our friends, every transaction has been a success. All staff members are friendly and helpful, but Nat Williams is our sales person. His knowledge of all products that the store sells is truly amazing. Prices are better or comparable to other appliance stores depending upon your purchase. My husband and I highly recommend Northern Home Appliance for dependability honesty and sincerity

I so wanted to support this local store. In early August my husband and I went in to buy a new fridge. The salesman assured us that we would have no trouble getting the specific model we wanted. He priced it very reasonably, wrote everything down and even offered to send someone to our house to measure the space. That person would call us. Ok, a week or so goes by, no calls. We called the store and our salesman had gone on vacation. Someone else started again with us and wrote down everything though wasn’t sure why we needed someone to come to measure. Finally that person did pay a visit to our house, and we were ready to order. We just needed to call one more time to officially place the order. Our measurer happened to pick up the phone the next day and supposedly placed our order and again supposedly wrote everything down. They’d be in touch. Fast forward about 4 weeks with absolutely no word. Guess what – they had no record of our order. More importantly, they had no record of the quote they had given us. Suddenly it’s another price completely – not negotiable. Time to pull the plug. So sad when a place like this practically forces you to a chain store. Luckily our neighborhood has at least one other small appliance store which we will look to in the future.

This is the second time I’ve purchased from these guys and we have been happy both times. The first time was 3 years ago for my own place. This time was for my mother. Do your research online and then come with model numbers. The guys will do their best to match/beat those prices. They will let you walk away too to check their competitors after giving you their own prices. They don’t bait and switch you with prices nor use hard sell tactics. Even better, they don’t follow you around to «help» you. The 0% financing option is a nice touch too. I also appreciate the fact that they haven’t had much turn over with their employees… The same guys that helped me 3 years ago were there today. I feel like that means they they try to keep both their employees and their customers happy. People mean something to them. One more thing to add is their deliver price. I think it was $ 75. I can’t remember if that was for all the appliances or a flat rate. Regardless, this meant they brought everything into my mom’s 3rd floor apt(using the elevator) all the way into the kitchen. My mom never felt unsafe or rushed. The delivery guys were great. They also held the order till we were ready. We had to put it off on two separate occasions, but they were totally nice about it. Thanks guys!!!

Long story short… ordered a refrigerator, paid for it in advance. Waited for delivery the next day when the driver decided he didn’t want to have to put any effort into getting it in the house and simply left! Never took the doors off the unit… never moved the old unit that had already been pulled out for his convenience… all he kept repeating is that he had no time. Actually asked a 90 year old and her aid to take the front door off the hinges and remove shelves that were in no way inhibiting their access to the kitchen!!! Oh hello… are you kidding me? Called to find out and the owner defended the driver and his manner! Went to get the refund he promised… and got plenty of attitude! My mistake was bringing the receipt which had the measurements I needed on it. He said he needed the physical receipt and not just the number which he promised to give it back. After he credited me he refused and said repeatedly… IT’S MINE like some crazy person waving the papers in front of my face. I asked him again and he refused. As he was shaking the papers in front of me again, I tried to take it and he threatened to call the police! Screaming he knew all the police in the area and even local District Attorneys! I didn’t ever have to bring it with me, just the number and he refused to return it like it had any value to him:( He finally directed his salesperson to make a copy and I left. Went to another store… the new one was delivered the next day… a better one and cost almost $ 100.00LESS than his and I got a rebate for $ 105.00 dollars and a $ 75.00 gift card to the store for future purchases! The new drivers came, cheerfully removed the old refrigerator first to make room for the new one, popped the refrigerator doors off, bought it in the house, plugged in the new one and were gone in less than 30 minutes. The new drivers could not believe that anyone who does appliance deliveries couldn’t complete the job. NO they never asked us to remove the door, just did it in record time with a smile. Cheaper, listed as a much better model on the net… and NO aggravation! You decide:(
