We stopped here on the way down the 99 and as luck would have it it turned out to be a very nice place far as fast food goes. Our girls really enjoyed the chicken katsu and my husband and I were quite satisfied with our noodle dishes. Best of all though the husband and wife owners of the place were so gracious and welcoming it made the experience really pleasant.

The food is gross and cold, served on styrofoam and salty! And for $ 50 three of us left hungry and very dissatisfied! The sushi is a huge BEWARE! It tasted super fishy and so upset that im writing this review from the car before we leave!

If you’re looking for good Japanese fast food in the downtown area, this is your go-to place. But. because it is the go-to place, it is PACKED. Phone orders, walk ins, orders to go or to eat in… No matter how you order, expect to wait. And if law enforcement or a regular customer are behind you in line, expect to get your food after them. I went a few weeks ago for lunch, arriving at 12:15pm without calling ahead. The place has been newly renovated due to a revitalization grant. Since I never saw the restaurant before, I cannot comment other than it was spacious and could probably fit a few more tables to accommodate more eating in patrons. It took me about 10 minutes to get through the line and place my order, and then another 25 minutes to get my order(a sushi roll and teriyaki/rice plate). I didn’t order anything fancy, and by the time I got my food(long after two law enforcement officers in uniform and a few others with badges on their belts who had been behind me in line picked up their orders), I had to rush it to my work fridge as I had run out of time to eat. In all fairness, I heard the owner talking to one of her regulars about how good part time help was hard to find – suggesting they were short staffed… so this delay might be an anomaly… but it didn’t change my situation that day. There are two sauces – a brown sauce and a teriyaki sauce. The brown was amazing, and worth a higher price than the teriyaki. I ended up eating everything cold a few hours later… and despite the delay, the food was pretty good. It is not the best Japanese food in town… or the best fast Japanese food in town, but it is the best I’ve tried downtown, and if you have a serious craving in this part of Fresno, then stop by. You just might want to call ahead first.

I have been going to this place for over 5 years. I can agree that the spicy crispy chicken is the best! I’m only disappointed that the sauce has been watered down throughout the years. This place is a fast food style hence the use of styrofoam. I have only received good service from the owners and never a dull moment compared to other reviewers. The prices overall is decent. I have not gone since the makeover, but it had nice interiors and décor. Only the tables and chairs were outdated.(Will update when I visit again.)

The restaurant is clean, roomy, the service is fast. The online menu doesn’t list what’s in each roll, so we went with what should have been safe, simple rolls. The spicy tuna roll was bland. Yes it had heat, but no flavor, I’m not sure how that was accomplished. I dipped a piece lightly in soy sauce, I added a dab of wasabi, all still basically tasteless. It had dark green something sprinkled on top, I’m guessing it was ground up seaweed, which would be fine if it improved the roll. Which it didn’t. The second roll we tried was an Unagi roll. It was tasty, if a tiny bit too creamy. I’m guessing it was from mayonnaise? I love the velvety mouth feel of avocado, but not mayo or whatever was used in the Unagi roll. We won’t be coming back for sushi, but maybe to try the other dishes.

Foods good for fast food, & you can call in your order to go. Not the friendliest staff, so try not to ask too many questions. Prices are reasonable.

So I love there food! And I continue to come back because there food is amazing. However this is the second time I have ordered a spicy chicken salad and it has been wrong. The first time I got a free salad and the female manager was sweet and kind. This time apparently it’s my fault because I didn’t check my food and didn’t grab the right bag. I continue to because they have good food. However there customer service is horrible during 11−1pm. So be careful check your bag and make sure you remind them to go order they do names and in dinning there numbers.

This place is so much better than Teriyaki Don by far. I just wished it was as close as Teriyaki Don is but worth the drive. Me and my bf will definitely be going back.

Came in for a quick lunch. Nice downtown location. Spacious and open design. Food was very good. We tried the teriyaki salmon and ginger chicken on this visit. The people are super friendly and came by often to see how the meal was and if we needed anything. Lots of regulars frequent this place. They know many of them on a first name basis. Spicy chicken seems to be the most popular menu item.

Had to be downtown for jury duty saw this on Unilocal and it suggested the #19 spicy crispy chicken. Wow bomb, comes with this peanut sauce and if you need more it’s just 50 cents. In my opinion it’s not spicy at all but the flavor is on point. If for some reason you’re by the courthouse you’ve definitely gotta try this. Walking distance too definitely a plus. The staff is very nice as well
Thank you to my coworkers(I think) lol for introducing me to this place. They deliver! Which is sometimes longer of a wait then it should be but the food… oh the food! Mmm mmm! This place seems to get busy. maybe they should expand! And if only they had an online menu/website then maybe I could try more of their food!

Whenever I want fast Asian food, Kikku’s is my main staple for downtown Fresno. I’ve gotten their rice, and yakisoba plates. Decently priced, they are both satisfying, and well worth the money. The portions are generous. If you eat smaller portions like I do, you can easily eat half, then save the rest for later. Owners are also really nice, and will greet, and check up on you while you dine.

Absolutely LOVE Kikku. I work about two blocks from Kikku and its a hidden treasure in downtown Fresno. I love the downtown spicy crispy chicken. Its amazing and a bit addicting. Everything I order comes out quickly, even during the big lunch rush, and tastes great. The owner herself is usually at the cash register taking orders and greeting customers. She has great recommendations so definitely ask her. This is how I came upon the spicy crispy chicken. The new signage and communal inside table are so cool. The pricing is pretty spot on and they are working hard to continue to make their already great customer experience even better. Definitely check it out for lunch and/or dinner. Its fantastic!!!

Nice downtown joint for lunch. Can’t really go wrong with the spicy crispy chicken. But like many Asian restaurants, they nickel and dime for the little extras.

Great food to start off with and the owners are wonderful people. I have been gone from down town for 2 years and they still remember my name 2 years later when I walk in for a meal.

This is my go-to lunch spot. I came here on my first day of my new job and kept coming for a week straight. The food was just that good and the prices are fair. I’m a pescatarian and it’s seriously a challenge to find good fish in town. Every single time my salmon was cooked perfectly! I seriously want to go back in their kitchen and see just how they do it. The owners of Kikkus are the sweetest people, it’s truly a family business so don’t be surprised when you see 3-year-olds playing behind the counter. My fiancé was a huge fan of Teriyaki Dons spicy chicken until he tried Kikku’s. I highly recommend you try this place out. The food here never disappoints.

Decent place downtown that serves Japanese fast food. Their popular item which is the Spicy and Crispy Chicken Teriyaki tastes just like what they serve at Ginza, but a little more on the greasy side. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely is not even close to spicy as the name implies. Portion size was good and will get you full. The beef teriyaki on the other hand is kinda meh, and tasted kind of bland. Salad served with your meal is a joke. It’s basically five pieces of lettuce with one piece of broccoli and a HALF of a small ass carrot? Are they that cheap? There is also an extra $.25 cent charge on extra teriyaki sauce from the dispenser if you take it to go I think. I honestly don’t even think it is enforced here so don’t worry about it. Parking is not validated here, which I don’t understand why. Your nearby option is the N St parking garage around the corner which charges $ 1 for 30 mins. This place does get quite busy around 12pm, so if you’re in a rush I recommend coming in between 11 – 12 to beat the lunch rush.
