This doc is spot on. When I saw Dr. Lewis, he asked a good amount of incisive questions – not relying on me to provide all details of my condition without prompting, like some doctors. After he gathered all pertinent information from me, he came to his conclusion then I made an appointment for a colonoscopy. He also recommended some dietary changes, and he gave me a realistic picture of what my life might look like if I didn’t make changes. Lewis’s list of things to do/drink to prep for the colonoscopy was a piece of cake, compared to stories I’ve heard from other people who’ve gone to other doctors. No nausea, no throwing up, no disgusting powders/drinks, no problems. Easy to comply with no unpleasant side effects. Lewis has taught at the university level(UC Davis?), and he has a full understanding of digestion and the causes of digestive problems. He doesn’t rush to provide a pill to solve a patient’s problems. He took a proactive approach, he spent time asking intelligent questions, and I appreciated that.
