I Never thought I would be writing a negative review on my beloved mike’s. Drink prices have gotten so out if control 1.00 for ice in a mixed drink. .50 cents for a drink that is up with no ice!!. Wtf. Good is still killer. But can’t afford to drink there any more. So $ 7.25 for a cocktail plus $ 1.00 for ice. 8.25 for a neighborhood bar. elbow room only 9.25. sad but I do love the place. Thanks

Amazing! Had a last minute meeting with 20+ people and needed party platters. They were so accommodating and even were able to deliver to our hotel! The food was amazing and the service can’t be beat.

Such a ridiculous place. Walked in told us to sit anywhere we’d like, sat and had no service what so ever. No one came and gave us our menu or took our order on drinks literally only two tables with people as well. After waiting a bit my family and I decided to walk out and the lady was still standing in the front and didn’t say a thing. Horrible service. And great first impression.(Sarcasm)

Everything is good! Home cooked Italian food, including pasta… Food is a little on the expensive side but is sooo good! just like grandmas. Nice bar as well as dinning in the lounge area. I like the big fire place and iTunes in the bar. Bartenders are cool too.

Had to give a three star food was great… service was great… my only problem was the menu… went in at 430 pm. Ordered a Mikes Calzoni. and a 2 choice Calzoni… menu on Unilocal says 10.95…was told by server that due to it being dinner menu time had to order the dinner meal for 15 dollars. which included a salad or soup… or I could order a smaller Calzoni… all I wanted was a Calzoni… wonder why they have such a price difference and why isn’t it posted on the menu… would I go back… probly…but they really need to update there menu to include the dinner menu… and why did I have to get the dinner meal on my order for the 2 choice Calzoni for take out… or was this just a gimmick to add a extra 4 dollars …

The location is a bit out of the way of anywhere we usually might be in Fresno, but we LOVE this restaurant and will make the drive because it is worth it! They have amazing calzone, fettuccine Alfredo, and raviolis. The restaurant has an old and authentic Italian feel– definitely a Fresno Gem!!!

Bland, dated dining room atmosphere keeps it from being a five star review. The service and food are fantastic. Seriously, it’s delicious. This last time, I had the chicken parmesan(heaven) and my wife had seafood manicotti in alfredo sauce(also excellent). The servers and owner are nice and make you feel welcome. Food arrived promptly– the salad is serviceable– but the entrees are where it’s at. This place has been around forever. It was recommended to me, and now I recommend it to everyone else.

Best Italian food in Fresno. Pizza or not, every time is a great experience. Pastas are always great and you can never go wrong with a calzone. Highly recommend!

Good Italian food. I had their lasagna. It was good. A group of us came for lunch on a Saturday. We sat in their lounge. It was dark and dated. But, had I been there for a dinner for two… it coulda’ been an atmosphere of retro intrigue… with decent food. But, alas… not planning on a next time

The best Italian I ever discovered… comfy vibes authentic GREAT quality food… being a server nearly 7 years and this is by far the best Italian in the Central Valley. Our server is usually an older lady that served the entire room who is so kind… today it’s Daisy she is awesome and treats you as if you are in her home… the best hospitality.

First went to Cicco’s and as they were full, they recommended Mike’s Pizzeria. Really liked this outcome as Mike’s food was great and the service exceptional. The prices were OK. Didn’t like the extra charge for ordering Alfredo sauce, but their dishes are made with«spaghetti sauce» by default. Really recommend the place for good Italian food.

I’ve been here many times, and I’m never disappointed. Service is great, very friendly staff. The food is where it really shines, be it the calzone, or my favorite, Ravioli with pink sauce(up-charge but worth it) so good.

Went to Mike’s with some friends for dinner, and the food is awesome. I ordered a medium pizza with salami and olives. It was delicious. Reminded me of the pizza I had in New York at an authentic Italian pizzeria. My wife ordered gnocchi in marinara. I am not a big fan of gnocchi but this was really really good. I would definitely go back when I’m craving some Italian food.

Not sure if it was an off night or a new pizza maker but our pizza was really salty. They had a great Unilocal rating so I gave it a try… Not very impressed… The plus is that the customer service was great.

Took a client(again) and she declared Mike’s the best Italian food in the city with plans to return soon. Honest to God, the homemade ravioli and spaghetti are amazing. Even the homemade Italian dressing on salads is crave-worthy. I have plans to return next week. Highly recommend. Service is old school friendly and excellent.

One of my favorite places to eat in Fresno! Classic! My favorite is Mike’s Special Calzone! Their Italian Marinara sauce is so good. I make a good one myself, so that is a high compliment. The lounge is cool and sassy! It’s «old school» fun! I’m so glad Mike’s is still here. I was so sad to rad they had closed, but that as the one at Marks and Shaw. This is the original. We can not afford to lose any more Fresno traditions. I wish I lived closer, but I’m going to start treating myself to Mike’s more often! Check their hours, but the take-out counter and lounge are always open, except Sundays.

My go to Italian is Mikes Pizzeria. Old school Italian since 1962. Love the homemade pasta and sauces. My favorite is the Linguine and Clams, tons of clams with a great creamy white sauce. «Buongusto» !!! The bread that is served is a warm soft baguette. One night we were served a baguette that had a nice crust on it. I asked the server if they changed the bread. she replied that this bread was probably day old. I told her that’s the way we liked it… nice and crusty. The Staff and service are great and the room has an «old Italy charm».

The flavor was good… BUT. The large pizza was 12″?? WTF! Look at the picture I posted. We got 2 of them and was $ 28! So not worth it!
